Yeah, at this point, Adolphian is trying to unscrew the mess that's happened with his transport crashing, so he can't exactly go meander off and meet people. I was hoping someone would notice.

Finally finished my post. I'll hopefully be faster next time. We'll see.

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone does with their characters as well. Things are very interesting at the moment. Poor Elena. I didn't think I'd end up liking Gyarados so much. Heh. It's not one of my quick go to go to Pokémon myself. My husband just recently used one in his run through Shining Pearl. Starting up a Pokémon role-play has revived interest in Pokémon in general in our house and all of us except the youngest has been playing. I've also started watching the anime with the boys and my two year-old can reliably recognize the Kanto starters along with several others. He gets excited when they come up.

@StarfrostedFox, it's lovely to see your family has a hobby that can bring you all together! Wholesome as heck, that is!

@Birdboy, how'd you feel about an encounter with a wild Adolphian?

@StarfrostedFox that's so cute, glad to hear you all have something in common. Pokemon breaks down boundaries! I'm glad you like Fynn, I can't wait to have him interact with some of the other pokemon.

I picked Gyrados because I think he represents the sort of underdog vibe of Elena. Starts out floundering and practically useless but through a little more hard work and struggles than others it can become something very powerful!

Gyrados is also just a consistently decent pokemon. Intimidate, decent stats and dragon dance makes you pretty scary.

Alright, so just so I can get this straight, @StarfrostedFox Maeve and @Azure Bubbles Liam have met, then @Lord Frostecs Dokter is repairing a plane and @Birdboy Flynn is riding a gyrados to Jubilife. Is that about right?

I was thinking perhaps a certain scientist would be working on repairing the downed transport when he hears your Elena struggling with her Gyrados. Perhaps he could be thinking they pose a threat to the others in the crew, so he leaves the final repairs to them while he investigates. Gyrados isn't native to Stahlblatt, believe it or not. There aren't many water types in the region due to the low amount of natural water features, so it'd very much be unfamiliar to him! He's the strongest trainer in the group so it'd naturally fall to him to investigate a trainer struggling with such a powerful Pokemon.

@Lord Frostecs Oh that's really fun! Especially if you haven't seen one, I am sure a Gyrados is pretty intimidating. Fynn is pretty harmless, but he's a total scaredy-cat. I could see him getting spooked and looking like a real threat, lol!

How well-known is Stahblatt? Would Elena likely be aware of the place? It seems sort of disconnected from the other continents, from what I have heard you say. I can imagine Blue people with cybernetics in a crashed, advanced flying device might leave you with a lot of questions if you didn't know that was a thing.

Edit: I think Adolphian and Elena are a really interesting pair to meet up though! Adolphian seems fairly put together, maybe a bit stoic and professional. Elena is basically the opposite of that.

@Birdboy Oh, definitely! A giant water serpent would certainly be quite the terrifying sight for anyone who hasn't seen one before! Even one who's about as scared as a squirrel! As for Stahlblatt, I would say it's possible she's at least heard of the region, but little is known about it. Very few people are allowed to visit, after multiple incidents that happened following the initial opening of the region. Turns out some people just wanted to exploit the region...

Oh, that's for sure! Adolphian is certainly a bit of a mess on the inside, but he's worked pretty hard towards his outwards appearance. At least he can project the aura of someone who has his stuff together. His Ninetales certainly helps him cope with the whole 'I want to scream but I must stay professional' aspect of things, lol.

I'll work on my post tomorrow. I've spent so long today getting late assignments submitted that I have had barely any time for anything else. But soon I'll be less busy. I hope!

In other news, I realize how similar Adolphian is to the Ultra Recon Squad. Someone from a strange, distant land? Bluish pale skin with a strange, technological vibe? Someone who doesn't really understand the land he is in and would appear outwardly alien to anyone he meets? I've been recently playing Ultra Moon and I only made the connection now. I swear I didn't know they existed until recently, ha ha! Only thing he's lacking is a fantastic Waluigi moustache! And I don't think an official guide would refer to him as 'your blue friend'

I'm sorry Nintendo please don't sue me!

I think he'd look good in a Klingon style(yes, that's literally what it's called, someone must have been a 'Trek fan!) beard, but I don't think he'd do well with a moustache. And then he can stroke his beard while he's in deep, like a true 'I can't believe he's not a villain' look.

Thank you both! It's been fun. Maybe I'll have to try Gyaridos as I play through Sword. If I get back around to it. I got on my copy of Shield and started getting sucked back into trying to complete my Pokédex. My 3DS bit the dust and so we saved all my old Pokémon that had been transferred over the years onto my husband's switch and it's been a slow process to take moments to trade over a handful of Pokémon at a time.

Rambling over. I think I'm just happy to have fellow Pokémon fans to be able to talk to. Thanks everyone!

Right now, my favorite Pokémon is Togekiss. But I’ve had other favorite Pokémon in the past.

I like Fairy types in general. (Except Galarian Weezing) People complain too much about how all Fairy types are too cutesy and I’m like YES! I like that. That’s a good thing.

There are a bunch of other Pokémon I like, that would be too many to list.

Complaining about cute pokemon is like complaining about tasty food. Oh no, my steak is too juicy, haha! Fairy types are fun and if you don't like cute ones they have Grimsnarl and Weezing for those freaks sorts.

My favorite poke has always been primeape, but Oddish is a close second. If you're talking about out of those owned by characters in the rp than Kitsi has been very fun! Bridgette has consistently got a smile from me, though.

If you're asking about which team here I enjoy the most, I think it's Aisede. They kept to the Hoenn Pokedex and got some very fun picks! They have some fun dynamics too. My favorite type is probably Fighting or Ground. I like tough guys who hit as hard as they get hit.

I'm glad you enjoy Kitsi, I've worked very hard to make her lovable. Lots of personality in that one! But the others also have plenty of personality, she's just been shown off the most because she's also my favourite! I won't hide the fact I absolutely adore all the fox Pokemon. Ninetaes, Nickit, Zorua... Zoroark is also cool but I prefer Zorua just because it's the cuter one. My favourite, it's so hard to pick one, I love so many. Luxray is another contender! It was actually really hard to avoid filling Adolphian's team with my absolute favourites and try to stick to a general theme. Of course, I lost because his team is just my favourites regardless. I actually think it'd be harder for me to choose my least favourite, because I like most pokemon for different reasons. Muk is one I don't like, but that's just like... A pile of sludge. I do like Alolan Muk because of the idea that it has like these rocks in it that are crystallized poison, so that's a cool thing.

Dragonite... Oh lords, I don't like dragonite, entirely because it goes from a cute snake dragon to... Barney the Dinosaur with jaundice. If only Dragonair could have evolved into a snake dragon, I bloody love snakes.

Let’s just say I have a personal vendetta against Charizard and leave it at that.
