If it's possible, I'd like to propose some kind of automatic roleplay thread creation system. Instead of just creating a separate IC and OOC thread, and instead of just creating a regular thread, I propose that we have a special roleplay creation system. You go to one of the categories (Free, Casual, Advanced, etc. etc.) and create, instead of a thread, a roleplay.

You create a title, and then a short description. Then you create the full description of the roleplay in another box, and the rules in another. You can choose whether it's an open roleplay or a character sign-up roleplay, and also say whether it is closed or not. When you click the create button, it'll automatically create a page with a set of threads, E.G. A General Info thread, a Rules thread, a Character Sign-up thread, a Roleplay thread, and an OOC thread.

This would help a lot with roleplay creation, and make it easier for people to find the threads that they are looking for. And it separates OOC and Character Sign-up so that the creator of the RP can see all the applications more easily. This is just a proposition, so you don't have to consider it, but I'm hoping you at least look it over. Thanks!

Gateway does this...or something like it anyways...and I personally find it annoying. Just give me my own custom formatting and call it good.

The system in place already makes it so when you create a roleplay, you have linked IC and OOC threads rather than having to make two separate threads yourself. Go take a look at any RP that exists right now, look at the top above the first post: those tabs are separate but linked threads for those purposes. Mahz has also stated that he intends to make it so people can create their own tabs for their RPs, so you should be able to emulate the whole separate thread shenanigans as you like once that's put in.

Keeping it minimalistic and intuitive at default is best though, so I doubt there'll ever be a thing like you're describing where you have a variety of text boxes presented to you when creating a thread and then having all of those sub-threads made automatically at once when you hit submit. It'd be annoying to have a ton of extraneous thread things (info, rules, sign-ups, characters, etc) if you only want to use the two basic ones, so it's better to just give those and allow people to make whatever other ones they like. Might take a while for that to be implemented though, so you'll have to tough it out until then.
