I intend to work on an IC post in the immediate future. I think the best scenario might be arrival at a Kibbutz.

Just as an outline of what I'll be writing about, Saul (might change his name to Gideon or something else) will arrive in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem with a passport and meet a Yishuv rep taking him and some others through when an Irgun member warns the Haganah/Yishuv type bringing in the truck to the kibbutzes that something is about to happen.

Then, of course, bombing. It was fairly common for the Irgun and Lehi to attack the Brits at the time, but to avoid allowing Jewish collateral damage in the process. Sort of a 'welcome to Palestine' post.

Your character's arrival would be different -- she probably came through a refugee camp (earlier?) and was landed illegally, which meant having to avoid the British patrols in the countryside as she is guided in by experienced native Jews (sabras) that are possibly part of the Palmach or Haganah. That's how the majority of Jews emigrated to Israel if they didn't have valid British passports; they were smuggled out of refugee camps in Europe on boats and landed ashore after playing a cat and mouse game of evasion with the Royal Navy, then they had to sort of get smuggled off the beach and into Jewish settlements. Forgery was often involved. A ZOB veteran probably finds all this very familiar.

I'll be honest with you, I had to look up what most of those terms meant, but I guess that isn't something too terrible. Anyway, looks fine to me on both characters. I was thinking that Adina came sometime in 1946 as she started to realize that the Soviets weren't going to pull out of Poland and that she was going to live under another dictatorship.

I am in the process of writing a post. Got about half of it down.

I posted the first IC post. You can always have Adina ask him questions, that helps. Alon is a camp, a kibbutz with a conventional layout, as specified in wikipedia. ;) We'll improvise as necessary.

Don't feel the need to match that post -- you can go shorter as you see fit.

As it happens, I own both the No.1 and No.4 pattern of Enfield rifles. Hands down my favorite guns.

I'm in the US. I own an Australian No. 1 Mk. III* built in 1941 and a No. 4. Mk. II built in 1954.

There's no licenses or regulation needed to own enfields here, even though the rate of fire is rather rapid compared to any other bolt action I've fired, and I own several bolt action rifles.

Ah, Americans. Those who own guns here mostly have hunting rifles or shotguns, though I can't say I envy you that much though I would love to have an Einfield.
