"It isn't my fault that I can't let water spill all over me. Your captain is a devil fruit user, and you've never once seen her powers act up after getting splashed with water while on the seas?" He looked at her with disbelief and laughed a little. "I remember the first time it happened. I was sleeping in one morning and one of the guys I bunked with splashed water on me. Fell off of the bed and literally sank into the shadows."

Scarlet thought for a minute and said "To be honest, I have never noticed...she has fallen into water a few times but she seemed alright..." Dante sudden;y said "Its because she has a back plan when she does. Before she falls in she uses wind energy to keep her floating till we can get to her..." He slid Scarlet the empty glass and said "Just a bit more Scar..." She nodded and refilled the glass. Dante said "And I don't have a drinking problem....I used to but now my limit is two glasses a week. I don't go over that" Scarlet looked at him and said "When did this start?" Dante frowned and said "Since Jack..."

Hawking could feel the tension rising with the mentioning of a person named Jack, and as much as he wanted to know, he wasn't going to put them through pain just so he could know. He assumed that he would find out in time, and they'll tell him more once they've put some more trust into him. "Maggs floated over the water until you could get her? So she didn't ever touch water." He wasn't really sure how she could just avoid acting out when coming into contact with water, but since he didn't fully understand her power, he might know more once she explained it.

Dante nodded and said "When she has enough time to react. There was two times she was out cold when she hit the water and Jack or I dove in after her...but we have ladders built into the ships sides so we can get out of the water fast..." Scarlet said "Wolf built the ship with her father...she has hinted he was a cursed fruit eater too. But nothing more then that, so they built the Shadow Strike for any kind of emerency"

"I see..." Hawking nodded at the two of them while he was in thought and took another drink from his glass before standing up and heading to the door. "It was nice to talk to the two of you. I'm just going to stay around Maggs and watch over her for now. See you later." He headed out the door and walked back to the room where Wolfbane was and smiled a little at her as he stood there.

Scarlet waited till he was gone then took Dante's glass. "You can't blame yourself for what happened. Jack is...and he paid the price for that. We need to tell Hawking how we all ended up like this..." Dante took the glass back and said "No...we don't. Its up to the boss...after all, she was the one that was stabbed in the back"

Wolf was sleeping soundly, turned over onto her side as she slept. She looked a bit better, her breathing normal once more.

Hawking found the chair that he was sitting in last time and continued to smile down at her. he had so many question for her, but he knew that if she made a stead recovery, then he would get all of his questions answered in time. He really wanted to know about the guy named "Jack" but it seemed like a touchy subject, so he would hold it off until later.

A little bit better Wolf stirred and opened her eyes slightly, her vision blurred for a moment. "Scar? Dante? What..." She tried to sit up, holding her head.

Hawking put his hand on her shoulder and gently pushed her back down onto the bed. "Hey, hey. Take it easy and lay down for now. Dante and Scarlet are at the bar right now." He spoke to her somewhat quietly as he looked at her with a look of worry.

She sighed and rubbed her eyes. "Right...must have passed out...did I miss anything?" She looked at him, her eyes a mix of different colors at this point.

She nodded and sighed, closing her eyes again. "At least now we can talk...Hawking, I don't think you want to be apart of my crew. We have a lot of secrets and for most of us the past is always trying to catch up and finish the job...and we have strong bonds that when broken...well, lets just say it doesn't end well"

Hawking smiled at her and shook his head. "That only gives me a better reason to stay with you. From what I've seen, those bonds are breaking at the seams, and you need someone to hold them together. It's far too late to change my mind anyway, since where else am I going to find a crew that would use some extra people?"

Hawking sighed and looked at the door. "Only one comment so far. Tension started to rise after he was brought up so I left to check on you." He explained as he looked back at her and shrugged a little. "Whatever he did must have been bad to put you all in this kind of state."

Hawking was silent for a moment. He wasn't really sure what he should say that would ease the tension in the room. As he sat there and looked at her, he thought about what to say and slowly sighed as he traced the scar with his hand. "I'll make sure that something like this won't happen again." He took his hand off of her back and glanced at the door. "I should tell the others that you're awake."

Hawking brought his gaze back to her and nodded at her, but soon after shook his head. "You need to rest first. That was a hell of a fight and it took a lot out of you. You've been through a lot recently, Maggs. Just take it easy and rest."

She looked at him and said "to all really a blur...what exactly happened? Once I get fighting, I let my senses take over" she flinched again, her eyes closing in pain
