An option is that the planet can have a race that isn't developed yet and more based on a tribal community. Say maybe bronze age technology at best. So it would be tribal natives that help live of the land, the middle road humans, and more developed psychic race most like the Protoss from Starcraft with communication based of telepathy (Like a galaxy police of sorts.)

Actually I was thinking about having an Indigenous tribal race as a potential danger for our adventurous pioneers to face. Hostile natives, you know?

I'm going to have a think on the name for the Psionic race. Maybe something airy sounding, with A, U and S in it.

Generators are a fun place for finding names, or you could just make noises until something sounds like it fits.

I dunno wouldn't insects develop a language based upon vibrations? What type of insectoid we talking here, We going starship troopers,zerg, or more in line with Kha'ix XD

Interested. A quick question: How advanced are these 'robots'? I honestly have no idea why, but I think a defective robot that thinks it's a cowboy would be hilarious XD Unless it doesn't fit in with the tone of the story, then I'd just opt for human,

But yeah, like the idea, had a similar idea once. So I'm down either way.
