The Doctor was looking at Avery "Umm heres so tea," It was a special one to make her sleep, he made sure she didn't know that though, knows she needs to sleep.
Avery didn't look up as she took the tea, mumbling thank you as she read thru what was on the screen. "Doc, you have quite a few people who would want payback..." She took a small sip
The Doctor looked at her "Ohh I know." he replied. He sighed a bit. He knew that many people were his enemies. He was alert as many times that he could.
"Any any who it would be then?" The Doctor knew that she would fall asleep soon. He knew it was the only way to get her to sleep, he looked at the screen.
She put the cup down as she pointed at the screen "so far I got six possibles...but I'll need to do more...digging..." She yawned again, fighting to keep her eyes open. She finished the tea off, putting it aside and she leaned back in the chair, her eyes partly open
The Doctor nodded. He waited till she was fully asleep and then he moved her to a spare bed. He knew that she would sleep for awhile, he had made sure the tea would make her sleep for a decent amount of time. He smiled a bit.
Avery turned over in her sleep, out cold. It has been a long few days, and sleep was needed. Whix appeared and said "about time...she normally has to get into a couple more fights before crashing"
"special blend of tea," The Doctor smiled "works every time." He didn't want to fight or anything to get her to sleep "Good thing is nothing will wake her now until she has got enough sleep, designed to knock her out awhile."
"It will do, its made to knock out ," The Doctor replied. " I didn't want to hurt or argue with her and that way was the only way I know she wouldn't try avoid as she didn't see coming."
Whix nodded. Then he said "doctor...this case may take time...to keep you fully safe. If you could get her to stay with you....maybe find a home here..."
The Doctor looked around "Yeah I know... just feel like she thinks its better to leave, don't know how to give her a reason to stay," He was sighing and leaned on console.
The Doctor nodded a bit "yeah " he gets some tea and sits and drinks it. He wonders who could be hurting him. He really does want Avery to stay with him.
Whix sighed and vanished, wanting to keep working on things for Avery. Avery was out cold, her sleeping face looking stressed and drained. It had been a while since she had had a good nights sleep.
The Doctor was asleep in his chair by the console by the time she woke up. He had been working quite hard to find things out. He was breathing deeply and he mumbled.
Avery slowly got up, muttering and then saw where she was. " that bloody timelord drugged me...I'm going to kill him..." She went up and was about to start yelling when she found him asleep. She sighed and her anger was gone. She went back down and was back with a blanket, pulling it over him then went to work in the library again.
The Doctor was sleeping deeply, and he didn't seem to wake straight away. He was rather exhausted. He knew she would be mad about him knocking her out. He felt a blanket around him and snored a bit.
Avery went I to working but she was still tired. After a couple of hours she was a sleep at the table, a profile up that was a ringer for their target. The last Dalek of the order. Who was the only one who could have known where he would be and get the worm.
