Hawking nodded at Dante and removed his hand from his friend's shoulder, leaning over to her and placing the side of his head on her chest to clearly hear her breathing as well as her heartbeat. After staying there for a moment, he moved away from her and placed two fingers high on her neck to check her pulse. There were other spots where her pulse could be checked, but he preferred the one at the neck since it usually got the most response. "She seems to be calming a bit from the attack on her body." He reported to Dante as he took his hand off of Maggs.

Dante nodded and tried to get up but scarlet held him down. "Hold on there, doc. You taught me that those who get knocked out have to take it easy so not to cause more damage" Dante smiled and said "and so I did....well then help me up then" she did and sat him in one of the chairs nearby. Wolf stirred slightly, turning her head. Dante held his head and said "that thing is getting worse..."

"Dante..." Hawking said quietly as he looked at the man. "To keep this from getting worse, you need to do a large scale surgery on her. I'm not sure if you have the tools or not, but I think we should find them and see if whatever's causing this is attacking her from the inside. It won't be fun, but I don't see any other way of stopping these random attacks on her body."

Dante looked at him and said "it's. It that simple....her powers attacked me because I tried to look at it. And this is not the best place to do it...." Scarlet said "I got a place. My uncle runs a clinic a few towns from here. No navy, and he would have anything you would need..." Dante sighed and said "alright....but she we can't move her now. She needs to get stable first"

"Unfortunately, My possession can't do anything about subduing her powers since from what you told me, it seems to be happening subconsciously. Her subconscious needs to recognize that what we're doing will help her, but I don't think it'll be as easy as it sounds.." He glanced at Maggs, then down at the ground before looking at Dante again. "Her shadow has a lot of tension.. Subconscious trust is a lot to ask for by a normal person, and with what you all have gone through, it'll take longer than usual.. And to be brutally honest, I don't know how we can get kind of unyielding trust. It varies from person to person."

Dante nodded and said "agreed....she's quick to trust person to person once they show their auras....but her powers themselves is a different story...." He sighed and leaned back I the chair. "We need to find the rest of the crew....and get the strike. I believe being in the place that is most home to her will help the problem" scarlet looked at wolf and said "I hate seeing her like this....she didn't even have to take that shot...."

Hawking nodded his head and glances at Wolfbane, feeling horrible that he had caused her to become bedridden. If he would have been hit, it wouldn't have mattered. He was a fugitive because he fought other Navy men, as well as break out a high priority prisoner. If he would have been seriously injured or died from the lightning bolt, then not much would have changed. The crew needed their leader in their time of need, not some new guy who just happened to help. "I could have taken that shot.." He said quietly as he looked back at the others. "We're leaving now. Scarlet get the ship. Dante, grab any equipment that we might need. I'll get Maggs onto the ship. As much as I would like to sit around and wait for her to get better, I don't think we'll have that comfort. We aren't too far off from the usual Navy patrols and if someone were to tell that they we were here, then they'd all be over this place. Let's go." He said in a serious voice as he slowly grabbed Maggs and picked her up at an even slower pace, making sure not to disturb her at all.

Scarlet blinked and them said "hawk... I didnt mean that..." Dante shook his head and went to grab his gear. Wolf stirred, fighting to open her eyes

Hawking could barely feel Wolf stirring as he carried her bridal-style, making sure not to hit her as he went out the door and back to the ship. He didn't really hear Scarlet when she said that she didn't mean it, but he knew what she had meant when she said it. "Shh.." He spoke quietly to the woman in his arms. "Just relax and hang tight.. We're going to see if we can help you..."

Scarlet sighed as she followed Dante out of the pub. "I meant she shouldn't have gotten stabbed....she took that hit for..." Dante nodded and said "I know kid....I know..." The pair jumped into the boat and scarlet untied the rope

Hawking sighed lightly when he heard Scarlet speak up again, and gave her an apologetic look before setting Wolf down on the ground slowly and carefully.

Wolf flinched as scarlet got the boat out i to the water again. Dante sat by wolf, taking her pulse again. "So hawk... What's the plan? We don't have a lot of time."

Hawking looked at Dante and glanced at Wolf. "We have a small window in the patrol if we head northeast. After we get out of the patrol routes, we go and see your uncle and see if we can't help Maggs. If not, then I guess we're screwed."

Dante nodded and looked at scarlet. "Think we can make it?" Scarlet nodded and said "I will get us thru there..." Dante balled his jacket under wolfs head, sighing. "Hang in there, boss....please hang in there" after a couple of hours of sailing Dante was asleep against the wall, breathing deeply. Scarlet was still guiding the boat, fighting to stay awake. She yawned and her head fell forward then she shot back up shaking her head to stay awake

Hours later, Hawking sleeping up against the wall opposite to Dante, with Wolf's head in his lap as he sat there. He hardly go any sleep while watching over, but he told himself that he was fine and he would stay awake as long as he could to watch over her. He had only fell asleep about thirty minutes before, and although he didn't do much, he was exhausted from staying awake that long. One of his hands rested lightly on Wolf's head, as he was raking his hand through her hair before he fell asleep.

Scarlet started to dose off again and caught herself, trying to shake herself awake. Then she felt a hand on her shoulder and she turned to see Wolf smiling at her, wearing Dante's Jacket. Scarlet started to talk but Wolf rested a finger to her lips and nodded to the boys who were out cold. Scarlet nodded and moved over and Wolf took the helm, Scarlet sitting down and was asleep in moments. Wolf looked around as the sun started to rise, a small smile on her face. "Good morning father...whereever you are..." She flinched but bit her lips to keep from letting out in pain. She looked back at her crew and muttered "Rest well my friends..."

With Wolf no longer there, Hawking shifted a little and allowed his hand to drop to the floor. He was enjoying his sleep well enough, and had a dream about what else could have happened the day before when he had broken wolf out of the navy prison. The dream started to get worse as he remembered the moment that Wolf had taken the lightning bolt for him, but quickly recovered he took Bolt out once more by feeding his life energy to the void.

Early in the morning Wolf was locking the helm into place when another attack hit her, causing her to gasp in pain and drop to one knee. She closed her eyes and tried to stay quiet, not wanting to wake the others. But that plan failed when another wave hit her and she cursed, her falling against the wall and holding her arms in silent pain.

Hawking woke up at the sound of a thud. His head snapped around quickly to see what it was, but his eyesight was blurry, so it took some time for that to return before he could make out any shapes. Looking down, he realized that Wolf was no longer there in his lap, so he slowly got up onto his feet and looked around to find her. "Maggs?" He spoke quietly, making sure not to wake Dante. "Maggs, you here?"

HE would hear a curse and something on deck trying to get up. Wolf was trying to get up again, using the locked helm to support her weight and pull herslef to her feet. She looked around and saw rough waters heading their way and muttered "I can't get a break can I...." She unlocked the helm and turned the ship hard, those under deck being set flying.
