Depending on how the dark the setting is, the regeneration thing could turn out like Dark Souls XD

It's pretty dark, but I'm not sure about how similar it will be to Dark Souls. Your character starts off completely unaware that they can die, but each death does have its consequences.

Nah, I didn't mean that it is like Dark Souls. The 'you can't die part because you keep coming back', though, when played darkly... well, Dark Souls is all over that. It's just a 'I've seen this before!' thing.

Well, that or Mana. Aether has an inherent connection to the sky and/or 'heaven', whereas mana doesn't; thus, aether really only fits if that energy has an intrinsic connection to a substance in their air.

Keep in mind you posted this roleplay in the Advanced section, EnsoNoctis. Bunnita looks decidedly way out of their league here. It's important to maintain some semblance of standards on this site before it all goes to hell.

Did you try looking at Bunnita's actual writing? I admit, I find his (her?) posting style mildly annoying, but I took a quick look at recent posts, and the IC stuff didn't seem half bad.

I don't mind Bunnita's work. It's going to take me some time to make the proposal presentable. Hank, I'd like to hear whether you're actually interested or not. If you're waiting for me to present the full proposal before making a commitment, that's fine too. I think I'm going to go ahead and do so with this number of people and just wait and see if anyone else is interested.

Just finished a rough draft of the synopsis. I changed a few things, and I realized that "the last floating city" doesn't really apply anymore. I also changed a few things. Let me know if you're still interested, and if at least six of you are a yes, I'll go ahead and expand more on the setting. For a brief overview:

Domed Cities are inhabited by those wealthy enough to afford housing. Most live in underground cities that connect to the domes. The farther underground you go, the lower the standard of living is.

There are a few areas that are still habitable, but they use Etherius sparingly and live a more primitive lifestyle.

Most of the world has become a wasteland of abandoned cities and desert.

Damocles is a fairly small city mostly inhabited by the neo-humans (I actually need a name for this, too) and fal'Lucem employees.
