I refuse to believe that the retarded god child shit is straightforward

That shot of shepard breathing after you choose destroy is too deliberate

I sort of have faith in bioware maybe

Maybe it's all a trick and ME4 will be great

Pls

If ME4 lets you pick your race, and lets me be a krogan, all sins will be forgiven.

I will only accept this if it lets you pick which clan you're from.

I must rep the greatness of the Nakmor.

I doubt it'll be as hype a dragon age origins and allow for multirace drifting

I'd love to play as a retarded vorcha

But come on

There's a lot of races

And that'd be a lot of voice acting

You could technically get around the voice acting thing by just having the same actor go through the voice filters each of the races do without it seeming too weird. Like the turians, for example, have the actor's voice with the same snippet of dialog dubbed over at a half octave lower to give it that "flanging" effect. Then it's just a matter of having a few reactionary pieces of dialog reflecting your race and origin story (not so different than the 3 origin back grounds and 3 war records, plus variants for gender if you think about it), and it could work rather nicely. But as you pointed out, Dragon Age did the same thing and it did play out differently for each one. Heck, in Origins they had to make entire opening quests and unique levels just to account for your race and back story.

It might not be as far fetched as it seems at first!

You could presumably get around the hassle of making unique opening quests for each race by having some universal setup, like some sort of multiracial organization made specifically for the reaper war, Rachni War, or whatever event they decided to put your squad in the middle of. I mean, I'm sure there were a few Krogan decenters during the rebellions, no? Though that would kind of kill the "choose your own race" vibe without some serious headcanon roleplaying on the part of the players, but I assume almost every Mass Effect player does that anyway.

I'm like 90% sure 4 takes place after 3, given BioWare said that's what most fans wanted and they wanted feedback before going forward. So that whole multiracial shindig could totally work.

Does this mean I can be a giant bug creature if I saved the Rachni queen twice?

I swear it says they're sentient.

If they did a prequel they'd pretty much be admitting they have no fucking idea what to do after 3's trainwreck of an ending

I hope save imports are still a thing and they aren't going to force bioware canon down our throats

Because they do have an official canon they're using for the movie

Damn, I was hoping for some neat prequel of Shepard going through the N7 program/working on that ship under Captain Anderson that wasn't the Normandy. (The Tokyo, or something like that?)

What, are they just going to do the first game's story and always pick the middle option?

Supposedly it's the first game's story with their canon, which is the world you get put in when you create a new character in ME2 and ME3 without importing

The fourth game should account for the non-binary genders and let players be mixed race, in order to fully represent a cosmopolitan futuristic world.

I think the only way being a mixed race baby would work is if you were an Asari.

Though that does beg the question of what a Batarian-Krogan hybrid would look like.

Bioware gave us a hero after Shepard. His name... Marauder Shields.

"He died for our sins" ^

I would want to be a Geth. No voice acting for that, just give me hard-drive noises.

Or you can only speak in dubstep. I normally hate dubstep, but I find it enjoyable when used for amusement, like in Saints Row IV.
