So I've been dealing with a lot of recent events IRL (mainly school) that has led to me having to basically disown the RP's that I was planning on heading at some point due to being busy, and just losing general interest in them after being away from them for so long/not being bale to come up with better plots after having been away for so long.
But, today I am here with a new idea that I really want to do, and that my friends is a Final fantasy-esque rp. The reason being is that After replaying FF6, 7, crisis core, 8, 9, 10 and then getting hyped on the new KH and FF15 trailers, I'm basically on a Square Enix crave-fest at the moment and figured I'd bring this into my RP'ing interest :).
So, what is a Final fantasy-esque rp? Well there isn't anything really "original" about the FF series. It's a standard jrpg series that has trong characters dealing with evil bad guys, rinse and repeat. Still the one big thing we all know about FF that carries into each game are the summons. Whether they're called Espers, Aeons, or w/e else they've been named throughout the series, this is the big thing that always seems to come back to give us some familiarity among the new faces and story that we uncover throughout our play through of each game. So the next question is, what does that have to do with this rp?
Well, this is the thing. For this RP, our characters will each be incarnations of one of the many summons made available to us throughout the entire FF franchise. So, while our characters are going to be actual people going on a journey, the things that make them special is that they'll be attuned to a spirit that grants them special skills and such.
For example, if someone were to make a character who's spiritual affinity was attuned to Shiva, they would probably have the ability to manipulate Ice. If someone was attuned to Bahamut, they could probably fly and use a variety of spells, etc.
So, I haven't worked out an actual story, but I do know I want to pursue this as a concept at least, and I need people that would be interested in doing. I'm looking for 4-5 other people besides myself to be interested in this idea, and then I'll make an OOC where we'll handle characters and make a more developed plot. So, let me know if you want to play :)
