What are the guidelines for warlocks and their magic?

Edit: And for the warlock mark, what particular would be a mark, like a tattoo of some sort? Or would it be some inhuman feature

@dragonmancer yes like a tattoo symbolizing you and your magic basically what ever you want and there are not really any guidelines just nothing over powering really

So would a warlock with dragon magic be acceptable? dragon magic refering to powers/transformations related to a dragon.

@dragonmancer well what you could be like is you have the power of a dragon like fire and you can create a glamour spell that makes you look like a dragon, instead of actually turning into one. Does that answer your question?

I'm having trouble deciding between a shadowhunter and a vampire. Also, how do you feel about day walkers?

Edit: I missed that you wanted us to do both characters if possible so I think I'm good for this. Yay! I'm fine with Penelope being a normal vampire too, but unless there was more I figured she may be left out on quite a bit of action during the day.

Sophia Aldershade

Name: Sophia Aldershade
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Description: Sophia is tall, standing at 5'10" she is commonly one of the fastest of her friends. She's a solid 175 lbs (someone please tell me if this sounds right for someone tall and muscular. I'm not that tall.) Mostly all legs which really helps with her kicks and she used to be awkward with her height, but now she can use it to her advantage.
History: Sophia was born in to the Aldershade family with only one brother who is older than her and already off in Indris. Her parents are both there as well and considered which institute to send her to. She loved the idea of the LA one as she always wanted to be close to the water and had begged from the time she was ten that she could go to this institute to train. She still loves her family and can't wait to see them, but she is ready to be back in the big city and getting to fight actually demons, not the kid runs they go on most of the time.
Personality: She's more of a timid girl, doesn't want to be the leader of the pack. She'll let others make the decisions and take all the fame, but she doesn't have a problem talking to others. She's not shy necessarily, she just doesn't like the spotlight. She's got a horrible sense of humor, but tries to make jokes constantly to break any tension or just because she believes she's funny. If there is an option between going out to a club and staying to spare and practice, she will always take the second. Though, she can get a bit wild when she needs to let loose or risk breaking down from stress.
Likes: The way runes look on people's skin, most downworlders actually (don't let her parents catch her saying that), magic, winter, and the color orange, like a sunset.
Dislikes: Loud people (especially when angry), cooking, being sent on simple jobs that twelve year olds could do, and most cats.
Weapon of Choice: Typically a crossbow or a sword, depending on the day and who she is with.

Name: Penelope Carrows
Nickname: Penny
Age: Actually 97
Age: Looks 20
Sexuality: She's almost 100, there's only so many people of one gender out there.
Race: Vampire (preferably a day walker)
Personality: Penelope was quite cruel when she was first turned, she didn't understand how something like this could happen to her. In time though she's learning to forgive and feels that she needs to be more of a teacher than antagonist. She struggles to fit in with her people sometimes, but would always side with them even if she believes there could be a better option.
Bio: Penelope was turned when she was 19 actually, just on the edge of her 20th birthday. Her friends had decided to take her out early to celebrate as they were all going to be away during the actual month. It'd been a scary night and most of her friends had died, she doesn't know why she survived, but she woke up buried and craving the taste of blood. It was hard to find a clan to take her in since she didn't know who had originally bitten her, but after moving around quite often she finally settled down in LA.

Also just to keep it accurate as far as the books went. Warlock's are normally distinguished by a strange characteristic not really a symbol. @dragonmancer Something like scaly skin, cat eyes, horns, these are the marks of a warlock in this world. They are generally the spawn of a demon and human and can be quite old. One of my all time Fav Char's from the first series was Magnus Bane a really awesome, bisexual warlock. Ill go find a Wiki, im sure it will help more, ill update this post so you can see it Mancer.

@DisguisedDemon well I had about 7 people interested before i put up the rp and i have messaged them but only a couple of put up there characters.
I am going to message everyone again and and if they dont at least message me back i will start the rp with the characters i have so far
Also DisguisedDemon have you read the books? if so do you think you you might be interested in being my co-GM?

I've read through book three or most of book three anyway. So I don't know everything, but I've gotten spoilers on most stuff honestly so I would definitely be okay with that. Maybe another interest check should be put up to see if new people would have interest? Or is that too much? Sometimes lots of messages can make people skip over an rp.
