Good morning! *Shakes your hand enthusiastically* Please call me Angel. I'll admit I'm a little nervous. I have never roleplayed on a site before but am excited to learn how. I will read over the rules and stuff, but if anyone has any advice I will be all ears! Just send a message! I see a lot of people choose a topic and roleplay based off that, but I honestly don't know a lot of things because I don't really watch movies/tv, read, play games, or...do much of anything. (Hence my wanting to get into a new hobby! haha) So if there is a casual, beginner's roleplay that you think would be good for me, please let me know! Welcome to the website, RosebeltAngel! Have you written before? That might help you get an idea of what you're comfortable starting with in terms of length and what section to start with. Free roleplays tend to be a few sentences, Casual roleplays tend to be a few paragraphs or more, and Advanced roleplays tend to be very long posts. What I would maybe if you don't know what you're comfortable with is skim a few Free and Casual roleplays if you're not sure what post length you're comfortable with.

Edit: I already had a small guide to help someone new to the site, so if you're feeling overwhelmed, this is a watered down version.

This site is pretty straight forward (and I think you'll enjoy it). There's 3 kinds of main group RP's.
Free, which is kind of the E for Easy going RP's. Casual, which has a fair amount of writing but not strict. And Advanced, which has a good amount of writing and for people who have been writing/role playing for awhile. Then there are the Nation RP's which have you making continents and governments and countries to RP with in a storytelling/strategy mixture. And there is 1x1 if you just want you and a partner. And then there is the Tabletop like regular D&D, and finally the Arena for combat RP's.

Ok, if you want to join/make an RP. Here is usually the layout. The "Interest Checks" are for people to post their RP ideas. Then when they have a fair amount of players, they create the threads that are located up in Free, Casual, Advanced, etc. Those threads are split up into IC (in character, for actual RP postins), OOC (out of character, to discuss ideas and say you are interested in joining) and CS (character sheets, where you post finished characters).
