I just moved back to South Dakota. We are at federal min which I think is $7.25, a lot of places are starting at $9 though, but Federal Min for servers is $2.13/hr. Which is insane, but tips almost always make up for it.

It's pathetic that the restaurants can get away with NOT paying minimum wage because customers are expected to tip and I think that's bullshit.
-nods-
But that's just me.

Oh I agree. It is insane! Especially when you figure in these corporate joints where the servers then tip out the bartenders, hostesses, busboys all of whom make minimum wage. There were nights when I lost 30-40% Depending on how many bartenders were working

Yeah, Figure 10% to the hostess (if you have one) Up to 20% per bartender and 5-10% to your busboy. I actually love tipping my bartenders though, a lot of them refuse, but the fact that you offer generally means that even when they are slammed they make sure to take care of your tables. Which I appreciate because I make more money that way in the long run.

That works out well.
Though that sucks, I hope your cost of living isn't bad.

Not at all. 3 brm places around here start around $500. Small 3 brms but still. It works out. I am just glad to have something while restarting the business. I had to refer out so many customers during the move.

Whoa that's amazing!
It's 800 for a 2 bedroom apartment but our minimum wage is nice.
-laughs-

We have the munchkins over and of right now I'm on my phone.
When's your interview?!

I know that feeling.
And we have munchkins this weekend, they came over a day early so I don't really have a 'day off' but hey.

Lol I get that. At least they are still munchkins, deprive them of sleep, get them wet or feed them after midnight and instead of gremils you get something resembling midget monkeys on acid.

s you can tell I might have a few of my own LOL

The two oldest our boys and the youngest are girls.
-nods-
And yes the bill is BIG.
-giggles-
It's fun though, and every other weekend works for me.

-hugs-
I'm fine thanks for checking.
It's just SUPER windy and ran off and on but we still have power and heat so we're good and dry inside.

LOL My Middle sister ate more than most boys I knew. My parents HATED it! She was the first to sit down, and the last to leave. Her first words to my newborn son in the hospital (born 9/26) was "Just WAIT for Thanksgiving little dude" LOL

WHEW! What a relief! All my friends live on the internet, so I start running checks when I hear about nasty weather.

Some girls are like that.
The 17 year old is a football player and a built boy so he eats a LOT.
-laughs-
-nods-
They're good kiddos though, call them Munchkins.
-giggles-

-beams-
Aw thanks for caring!
It's just incredibly windy!
Not really rainy anymore but the power did flicker twice.

LOL My 14 yr old is built like a football player and eats like a sumo wrestler. Then again my 52 yr old uncle still eats cereal out of a mixing bowl, so I am pretty sure I am doomed to an empty cupboard forever.

You are most welcome! I adore my computer friends. :)
