[Tyler Night]

Taylor smiles "Meet me at kfc across the road from hunters, 10am sound good to you?"

[Mistress Dizzy]

"Ten. Sure. I'll be there." She didn't know KFC was even open at that hour of the morning. But still, it would work fine for a meeting place. "I... I suppose I'll see you tomorrow, then. Don't work too hard." With that, she headed back into the bar, and out the front door. Luckily, her GPS was still functioning, so she made her way to the hotel. Fifteen minutes had her a decent room, and she managed to set her alarm and go to the bathroom before she collapsed into sleep on the bed.

Taylor heads back inside the bar to work. He keeps busy until closing time. "Hey Taylor, you can head home, we can finish this without you." Taylor smiles. "Alright, I will be back at 5:30 or 6." Taylor goes and punches out then heads home. He gets undressed and hops right in bed, passing out almost immediately. He sleeps soundly through the night waking up at 9:30 on his own. He takes a quick shower and then grabs everything he needs. Heading out at a quarter to 10, he hops in his dune buggy after sticking on the door covers. He takes off heading up town, getting to town at 10 to and KFC at 5 minutes to. He pulls into the KFC parking lot, stopping at the gas pumps to fill up while he waits for Kijani.

[Mistress Dizzy]

Kijani woke up at the insistent beeping of her phone alarm. She yawned, blearily wondering why her bed was so hard, and why she felt so stiff. Then she opened her eyes and realized she was not in her bed. "Oh... right." To prevent the weariness from creeping into her soul, she got moving. She got her face washed, and a clean set of clothes on, putting on makeup and fixing her hair into it's usual perfection. Then she headed out, only realizing halfway there that she'd done her face up for dirtbiking. Dirtbiking! She groaned out loud, and spoke with no one to hear her.

"You are... a creature of habit, Kijani. Idiotic, worthless habit."

She got to the KFC and went inside, the smell of greasy chicken making her stomach turn. She needed a cup of coffee, badly.

[Tyler Night]

Taylor finishes filling his buggy and walks into the gas station, paying for it. As he pays he looks out to see Kijani walk inside, after paying he walks around the counter and into the KFC that was attached to the gas station. He smiles at her and says. "If you want to get something to drink you can get it next door, I had planned on stopping to get something to eat when we get to where we are going."

[Mistress Dizzy]

Kijani smiled a bit at Taylor as he entered. "Good morning. I need coffee." She got up and went to the gas station minimart next door, buying the largest can of iced coffee she could get. Cracking it open, she went back outside to Taylor. "Is my car going to be okay out here by itself? Perhaps I should have left it at the hotel."

[Tyler Night]

"Yeah it will be fine." Taylor unsnaps the leather door cover on his buggy. "Kind of tough to get in here." The buggy has no actual door on it but where the door would go sits several bars, making it where somebody would have to step over the top bar to get in the kart. "4 point harness in here and it is well needed." He waits for her to hop in.

[Mistress Dizzy]

"I have to... literally climb into this thing. Goody." She was thankful that she'd worn flat shoes instead of anything with a heel. Slowly she went up the ladder, carefully swinging her long legs over the top and settling in the seat. "I'm sorry, what's a four point harness?"

[Tyler Night]

(The bar sits 3 feet off the ground, tall enough that you have to step up in but short enough just to swing a leg over.) "The seat belt, typical seat belt in a car just goes across your chest and lap, 4 point harness is 3 straps, 2 over you shoulder, your arms coming through and one across you chest, 4 points of contact, keeping you safer." He snaps the leather and plastic door cover and walks around to his side. He steps up inside standing straight up as he gets inside and turns sitting down using several bars around the cage to lower himself in. After getting seated he grabs the harness pulling it from behind him, sliding his arms through each side the snaps the buckle across his chest pulling it tight.

He snaps his cover closed and presses down on the brake turning the key. The engine fires right up, the power of the engine rumbling through, making the seats shake a little. Taylor shifts into reverse making sure nobody is behind him and backs out. The rattling of the buggy vanishes almost completely as he rolls out, he pulls out onto the road and drives out of town. After getting a good distance from town he looks around him and smiles. "Hold on tight." he rolls down the road and stomps the gas. A whistle can be heard from behind, suddenly the roll which was gentle at first kicks in and the front wheels leave the ground from a 55mph roll, hitting 80mph in less than 2 seconds. He gets off the accelerator and coasts back down to the speed limit, a sudden hiss can be heard from behind.

[Mistress Dizzy]

(*still confused* I have no idea what you mean. Is there a picture you could show me or something?)

Kijani looked lost at his explanation, but still managed to buckle the strange seatbelt properly. She was quiet as they got on the road, only speaking when he smiled at her.

"Hold on tight to wha-"

He hit the gas hard and the force of it pressed her into the seat. She couldn't help it. She squealed like a little girl, shutting her eyes reflexively. The car rolled free for a good while before settling back to a reasonable speed, and Kijani opened her eyes again. As she turned to look at him, it would be clear that she hadn't squealed in fear. There was excitement in her eyes, taking them from honey brown to brilliant gold.

"Now that's... power." She pushed back her hair automatically, then grinned wide at Taylor. "Can you do that again?"

(Will post it in the ooc.) Taylor smirks and reaches down to the shifter, he flips up the top and a red button shows up. He starts rolling into it, then stomps the gas, the front wheels raising off the road, as they are going airborne he hits the red button and holds down the throttle, sparks are thrown out the back as his wheelie bars are slammed against the road. He holds the gas down keeping the wheels up for a few hundred feet, as the kart settles down he hits the red button again and the whistle from behind them gets even louder, he laughs and points to the speedometer which is rolling past 150mph already. As it continues to climb in speed the turbo begins sounding like a jet engine, he finally gets off the gas as the buggy hits 190mph. Taylor shakes from the adrenaline rush he had going. "Holy shit, that is the fastest I have ever gone and I still had plenty of winding up to do. I was only at 8,000rpm and this thing revs to almost 12,000."

[Mistress Dizzy]

Kijani whooped out loud as the speed pressed her into the seat. She wanted to raise her hands and scream like she was on a roller coaster. The force was keeping her more or less immobile, though, whipping her dreadlocks around her face. By the time he let go of the gas, she was laughing with glee. "Oh, that was intense..." There was a happiness on her face that hadn't been present yesterday. If she stopped to think about it, she'd likely realize that she hadn't been this happy in a long time.

"I'm guessing Ar-pms has something to do with speed?" She really didn't know much about cars. Ask her about a book, a word or language, and she could discuss for hours. Mechanical things were a bit beyond her, though.

"RPM's revolutions per minute, inside the engine is something called a crankshaft, the turning moves the pistons up and down. The more rpm's the faster you can go, take this buggy for instance, if we had a second buggy exactly like this one with the same exact horsepower but maxed out at 9,000 rpm with this one maxing out at 11,900 we could see another 15mph out of this one over the other." Finally getting back down to 55 he turns at an intersection out in the country and takes off again getting up to 55 and as he is driving a cop car passes him going the opposite direction. He maintains his speed and just drives out into the country, further he drives the more wooded the area gets.

Kijani didn't understand half a word Taylor was saying. But she was always good at pretending to listen. Eventually though, they settled into the drive, and she looked around at the scenery. She'd never seen so many trees before, such wildness. It was breathtaking. All her life, she'd only seen neatly lined trees in the midst of sidewalk sections. All perfectly trimmed, no overgrowth.

But the woods around was something else altogether. "I wonder if we'll get to see any animals..." There was a childish tone to her voice, and she realized she sounded foolish. "Ugh. Sorry. I sound like a little kid."

"Of course we will. Just gotta keep looking and you will see something. I guarantee swans, geese and ducks 10 or 15 miles away, possibly turkey and deer. Not likely but it is possible to see some black bears."

He gets deeper into the country where there are more tree's than houses, he continues driving through the country, around many winding roads staying on the back roads until he finally reaches a main road, then makes his way all the way to midland, as he drives into town he begins passing stores and eventually ends up at a plaza. "Buffet king, this place is really good. Buffet only and room for 180 people." Looking at the time. "We are just in time, they open at 11am." he pulls into a parking spot and shuts off the buggy. He hops out and walks around to Kijani's side. Undoing the cover to help her out. After he helps her out he walks to the restaurant.

Kijani followed him, rather pleased like he'd helped her out of his vehicle. Rather gentlemanly of him. "Buffet King. I don't think I've ever heard of it." She opened the door, and the scent of grease hit her nose before anything else. It was not really unpleasant. It still smelled like food, just... cheap food. Even so, her empty stomach grumbled. "Oh... I guess I'm hungrier than I thought. What are the prices, Taylor?" She managed to get a look at the buffet line. "Fried rice, eggrolls, chicken wings, chow mein..." She turned to him, confused. "A Chinese buffet? All the way out here?"

[Tyler Night]

"Yeah, some of the best food in the area. It is only 7.49 a person." Just then a younger asian girl walks over to them. "Just 2?" Taylor nods his head. "Yes. Can we get a seat in the enclosed area?" The hostess nods and takes them over to the enclosed area. Seating them at a booth. "What would you like to drink?" Taylor sits down. "I will have a mountain dew."

[Mistress Dizzy]

Kijani settled in the booth as well, wondering if it was coincidence that their server was Asian, or if you had to be to work at this place. "Spring water, please." She answered automatically when asked for a drink. When she saw the confused look cross the girl's face, she realized the mistake. Was there even spring water in a place like this? She would likely get some metallic tasting liquid from the faucet. "...so..." Kijani played with a dreadlock, winding it around her finger. "Now what?"

"Buffet style, you just go up and get your food. They have 84 dishes to choose from here." Taylor stands up and looks back at Kijani. "The water they have here is really crisp and cold, they always get your drinks right out so we might as well just head up and get our food." He walks to the buffet lines, starting down at the last one from the side of the restaurant they are on. He grabs a plate and puts some fried rice on it then heads down the line to the beef and broccoli scooping it up and placing it on the rice. He moves over to the next buffet line grabbing some peanut chicken placing it on the plate along the edge moving around to the other side grabbing some baked mussels in bleu cheese. He takes his plate back to the table then returns to the line grabbing a bowl of egg drop soup. He heads back over to the table and sits down, then starts eating his meal.
