Last year people from various fictional worlds began coming to our world, having teleported or gone through some sort of portal just before being stranded here. These "Characters" found it difficult to live among the people, especially with some of the more evil Characters attacking people or committing crimes, so they built their own cities. Some humans from this world were fine with the Characters and their unusual ways, and the Characters found that they could let these people tap into their powers as long as they were alive. These people became known as "Agents".
We are characters who live in Steveville, a weirdly cubical city built where the top of a mountain used to be by a Character from a videogame and his Agents. There Characters can live in peace away from the evil Characters and the people who don't understand them. We're heroes, or at least not villains, so we can't stand by while these villain hurt people.
