@Pseudo Stygian

Name: D'ren
Alias: The Infamous
Species: Human
Age: 38
Occupation: Dimension-invading warlord from hell
Appearance:

Personality: D'ren is a hedonistic sociopath; he cares for nobody and nothing, save for power and his own pleasure. His major vices are pride, wrath, and lust. He has very few redeeming qualities, however, he has a strange weakness for chivalry toward females that are loyal to him. As a sociopath, D'ren does not experience strong positive emotions such as remorse, sadness, empathy, or compassion. Rage, however, is one strong emotion he is capable of feeling, though it is usually momentary and calmed if he feels like he is in control.

History: [ABRIDGED VERSION] Lost his family when he was a teen; unbeknownst to him, became stalked by a fallen angel which will forever influence him (Samy'azaii); became a hell-lord's (Dagon) apprentice in a realm called Malevora; took the third throne of the hell realm beside his hell-lord mentor, becoming the first and only mortal ruler of a hell realm; conquered many worlds and civilizations; enslaved many species, one of which issued him his infamous nickname (The Infamous) and facial scar; a slave uprising caused his exile; returned with a vengeance and way more powers/armies to retake his throne; banished his hell-lord mentor; caused a civil war in hell (he and Hades VS Baal, Anubis, Moloch, and Lucifer; Hel remained neutral); won said civil war, at a huge cost; ruled all of hell except Baal's realm; was betrayed by those closest to him (moon goddess/vampire Selune) and left the realm as it crumbled into nothing; met and fought his good doppelganger from another reality (Elijah Abdiel McDonnell AKA the Defender of Reality); joined said doppelganger's organization (Reality Defense Knights) when he fell in love (with the immortal Arien), and a bigger baddy (dont remember who it was) threatened to destroy everything; had a baby (Celeste) with his wife and sent said baby to live in another dimension where time moves faster, so she could be safe from evil; D'ren continues to fight evil, reluctantly, with his double's group of reality defenders; helps heaven in a war with hell; is reunited with his now-teen punk daughter; wife and daughter are killed by the god Moloch, with the help of Cronus, Baal, and Anubis; goes to hell to kill Moloch, Anubis, Baal...; Reality Defenders arrest him and puts him into inescapable prison called NightScape, in the Abyss of hell; escapes; for once and for all, kills Baal and retakes his throne in hell, only answering to Lucifer...

Powers: Has 100 individual abilities/powers, due to the Dagon Cube, a device that steals and copies powers from anyone in his realm.
Weapons: The Osiris Dagger (kills anything, like Ruby's knife in SPN), Colt .45 1911 handgun(s), scimitar, knuckle-duster, revolver.
Other: Due to his fallen angel stalker, D'ren cannot be harmed (and rarely affected) by dark supernatural magic and otherworldly powers; this helps him defeat super-powered gods.

How did you get here?: The WorldWeaver sent an Author's Ambassador in the form of his guardian angel Samy and tricked him into trying to conquer this realm (he will find it impossible).

Brief description of the world your character came from:

He spent most of his adult life in Malevora (16 - 28, then 30 - 38), a realm everyone believed was an underworld of hell. It was not until he returned for the last time, when he was 36, that he discovered that the now-dystopic, steampunk-like world was actually - and had always been - Earth, circa 3000 AD, after an apocalypse it never recovered from.

Like hell, Malevora is the native home to a race of reptilian demons called the Skaar. There is a bittersweet rivalry between the Skaar and the Malevoran humans, who claim they were the first inhabitants of the realm. Go figure. The humans, of course, are correct, but neither side really knows their history (since Baal had erased every mention of it being Earth from all databases and libraries), so their claims are based solely on the fact that they really really want to be the native-born race of the land. However, the Skaar and the humans have been known to work together, especially when the lower caste conspired with a few goddesses to banish The Infamous from Malevora the first time.

The sky is perpetually gray and brown with massive rolling clouds, and there is rarely a day that goes by where there is not a storm that encompasses the majority of the realm. This is a truly terrifying and dangerous place to live.

@Infamous Empath Ohoh, looks intimidating. I have a feeling that he's about to disrupt the balance between chaos and control that the Authoress is meant to maintain. But since he's "rarely affected by otherworldly power" does that mean the Authoress is unable to affect him with her abilities or as the Embodiment of Restraint? Or does that not apply here since all the other characters belong to different "authors"?

EDIT: Whoa, I didn't realise this before, but the Infamous' powers and the Authoress' are actually quite similar. She possesses a watch (which she keeps tucked under her sleeve most of the time) that has proven to be indestructible and resistant to all magic that's allowed her to collect every possible power that exists within each dimension she visits, much like the Dragon Cube. o.o Well, at least your character's more refined lmao.

*Dagon Cube, named after his mentor, the god Dagon

hmm, interesting regarding their similarities. This could be a very intriguing interaction.

Regarding the non-affects of otherworldly powers, since her powers come from a witch, yes, that is correct. He cannot be harmed by her or you. In fact, any obvious powers such as telekinesis or fireball-hurling dont work at all around him. Samy has supernatural blinders on D'ren, meaning that if D'ren was dropped in a new world where super powers and demons and stuff exists, but he does not know it, he would never find out unless Samy wanted him too. She humorously calls it Agnosticism. However, other powers that are not based on witchcraft or the supernatural, such as abilities that aliens might have due to evolution, would work on him (For example, he had a wraith from Stargate as his bodyguard, who could suck the life out of D'ren if he wanted to, because the wraith was from a sci-fi world, not a supernatural one)

@Infamous Empath Oho, intimidating alright. OOC, I'm all for this. IC, hahaha, John probably won't. D'Ren sounds like a mess waiting to happen. The Restaurant will have eyes all over ye O.O

Sidenote though: I, uhh, hope you don't expect everyone to read/understand/remember your entire CS, because whoa. And I hope you don't put too much backstory exposition in your narrations. Save them for inter-character conversations, yeah?

Sidenote two: Hey, nice Legion gifs. :)

Legion is like the 5th best show ever...

well im not really one for butting in between conversations, IC or OOC (except D'ren, he dont care), so since everyone seems to be already talking to someone, my characters will probably continue inner-dialoguing until someone is alone.

as for D'ren's CS and abilities, theres nothing to worry about. he may come into the restaurant intent on destroying or taking over it, but wont actually try to do it, mainly because Levi and the WorldWeaver (and whoever is in charge) wont let him, but also because once he gets there he will probably just try to take a vacation from all the world-conquering. and the backstory is very abridged, ive seen way longer, and more long-winded, backstories for characters that are under a year old OOC. OOCly, this character is 15 years old. and 90% of his life and history i dont even remember. lol so dont worry about remembering it.

@Infamous Empath The Authoress' abilities aren't limited to just of the supernatural kind. It all depends on how creative I can get (which, regrettably, isn't very much when it comes to these sort of thing). Don't worry, though, I've been trying not to abuse her abilities too much while still keeping her in character (or as in character as she can be while posing as Sandra). The Infamous actually reminds me of Erised, what with the amount of power he has and his desire to only satisfy/please himself. Dear Authoress is about to be very wary. .w.

@Infamous Empath She is the antithesis of the Authoress, after all.

Had a feeling it was something like that, actually. XD I'm just trusting you not to abuse any information I give you too much. ^.^ Besides, where's the fun in role playing if we don't discuss our characters, amirite?

im fine with RPing without any OOC talk. i only like vague worldbuilding collaboration, not "hey, my character is gonna do this if your character doesnt say that, and then i can do this when she does that." however, i also prefer to be friends with my fellow RPers. and friends dont really need a whole lot of OOC collaboration to make a story work if they want to tell a good story. and ultimately, thats why im here.

both Yylya and Levi know that i am writing them, but Yylya knows that she was created to not really care about that. Levi knows he was created to slowly go nuts from the knowledge of it, which just makes it all more tragic. hence the novel he is from: The Seven Tragedies of Levi.

@Infamous Empath To each their own, I suppose? I'm super cautious when role playing online so I'm usually all for OOC discussions so I'm assured that I'm not doing something wrong (or accidentally power playing whenever I'm using one of my OP chars lmao (or the other way round)).

Sure, I don't see why not.

Myself, I'm rubbish at small talk. So while RPing, I tend to, uhh, have no idea what else to say besides the RP itself. This one's pretty freeform, though, so if you just want to write by the seat of your pants without any OOC planning, it'll work out fine too. It's also how I tend to write, hee.

<Snipped quote>

Then to John, Levi asked, "Can I get a Sundrop?"

Yylya rolled her eyes, but she did not say anything since she knew that Levi's choice of drink was not consciously related to a certain character's author.

Do you hear that?
No?
Listen closely
Hear it now? That's the sound of me thoroughly enjoying this roleplay.
