If I could lend an opinion, your character seems more beastkin than beastmen. Beastmen tend to be depicted more as, humans with animal traits and behavior, where as beastkin are more the anthropomorphic animal type, which seems to be what you were going for.

Unless when you meant beastman, you actually meant something like beastskin instead? I am not trying to force anyone to accept my opinion or what I have to say, but I was going to make a Beast woman using the first imaged example, and I am trying not to create inconsistencies. Though, I'm sure I could say she's a hybrid or something. ^.^"

As it goes, I am a traditional Rper, growing up with the oldest forms of D&D and Fantasy lore.

The first picture you have provided is a Neko. The second is both a Beastmen/Beastkin to myself. As an older fella and from a more traditional standpoint, Beastmen/Kin are the same thing, with the difference(s) being the word a particular person might use; or the particular custom universe a person might make in which Beastmen and Beastkin are different. As it goes, this Rp is designed and stated as being Witcher and Dark Fantasy inspired, which leads me to believe it is also more traditionally inspired by the older stuff, such as D&D.

I can see how that might be, but the first image is not a neko. A neko is a cat, as in, a household critter. A nekomimi, is likely what you are thinking of, but the first image does not technically qualify for that either, as it is a snow leopard, and not your common household pet, which is what nekomimi's tend to be. But, as said, I wasn't trying to force my beliefs upon you, and as I understand your view, I shall edit my character concept a tad bit, so as not to cause conflicts with yours. :3

No. Neko are still Beastmen. Beastmen, have the word MEN in them. Which means that they would have some part of them human. Beastskin implies something entirely different. It implies someone who is entirely the beast. I play DnD as well and know GMs who allow Nekos and they are considered beast.

Neko means cat and Nekomimi simply means Cat Ears. Neko is a shortened form. But beast woman like that are actually considered yokai in japanese mythology. She is more akin to a demon.

This is a beastman;

^See part of him is still human. Beast + Human

Yes, and my CS is a Beastmen, as his physical design is almost identical to the picture you have just shown.

There's nothing human about him. The only reason I am saying anything is because your character is a precursor to someone else who wants to create a Beastman.

When I hear the word Beastman, I think Guin, from Guin Saga

I don't think full on beast like a Khajiit. If that was the case I just call them Beast race with anthropomorphic qualities. The only reason why I said anything is because its extremely confusing visually when I see one term in exchange for another.

That is fine for you to have an opinion. I am not saying you cannot.

However, as a man who has been writing for quite some time, I know how these terms work, and I cannot simply make an RPC without such grotesque dispute and displeasure with his racial classification, I feel this is not the RP for me.

I am not the GM. You do you. But I am merely explaining how it can be confusing to some. I have also been RPing for 16 years myself. And I have never heard someone say Beastkin and Beastman are the same.

You continue doing whatever, I was just settling some confusion with terminology

You really shouldn't leave the roleplay because someone had a different view of things than you. o.o

I think your character is a lovely concept, and I for one would love to see you stay and see it in action :D

I imagine the GM is busy in the real life with his work as it seems he and I share similar jobs where they tend to work us for days straight. During those times, I only ever check on the Guild before I go to bed and rarely have time to write. I doubt he has ghosted on us.

Well then I cannot complete my sheet until he answers questions.

I'm sorry, I am pretty busy myself. And in September I'll be working nonstop evenings. I am still going to come on and manage my RP. Every weekend is too long.
