[OOC] Titans 2043: Heroes of Tomorrow

Ya know, somewhere down the road, I think I'm going to have an Indigo Tribesman investigate Jude and try to recover the Staff/Battery. It'd have to be after a huge spike in his compassion, something that goes way above his limits, and because the Indigo Tribe is normally so secretive they'd want to know whats up.

At some point we can figure out at which point will be best to introduce more singular character driven plots.

I've been reading up on all the beyond villains and there is... a lot to cover. The Jokerz are much tamer than I thought they were going to be, more like angry kids with nothing better to do but make life miserable for everyone else.

Yeah, that's pretty much the long and the short of it. The Jokerz are just a street gang of random punks that fashioned their image after one of the world's worst villains to help inspire fear in their reputation. They're not that big a deal themselves.

Just going to assume that the splinter gang that Jude fought was closer to the real deal.

Can't phase out of harm's way if she doesn't see it coming, though I guess we are all easy targets in the dark. Red is the only one who would be able to see anything given some time and as soon as Jude's powers activate he'll be a target.

But she can see. Gloria brought the goggles from her Titan's uniform with her when she went out. They've got a night vision setting. Though given that Batman's been training the Titans for a while I'd expect him to use the same method that Robin did when he defeated her before asking her to join the Titans, electrified iron knuckles.

Well that's mostly what we saw in the show. I always liked to think that we were just seeing the street level Jokerz and the group as a whole was more impressive and well organised a few rungs up the ladder, like a drug cartel or the mob. The Jokerz Terry faced off against were the street thugs just connected enough to the group to be able to call themselves Jokerz.

And I guess the upside of a fan made rp means we can do pretty much whatever we want, so a more dangerous Jokerz isn't the craziest thing we can add.

The internet company effed up on my transfer of service with the move. It was supposed to be done on this last Thursday, but now because of the weekend and holiday it's held up until Wednesday. >.> I'm pretty pissed.

Update to my internet problem: I'll be getting it back up tomorrow at some point. Let's just say I stayed on the phone with my provider for a long time and had to wade through a lot of crap to even get that much done for me when it was supposed to have been a seamless transition when I moved back on Thursday, but hey, it would have been an even longer wait otherwise.

Hey I was wondering. The DC universe had a large population of interstellar species and civilizations. What do you think is Earth general exposure to that sort of thing in the universe we're working in? Obviously they know about it because of Superman, the Thanagarian Invasion, Darkseid and so on but would aliens be generally accepted on Earth or even common? Would we have alien embassies for say Starfire's people or have trade agreements outside our own planet, things like that. My impression of the DCAU is that Earth generally on a large scale kept itself to itself. Aliens are more or less welcome but we don't have any large alien populations, just smatterings of otherworldly people here and there.

See the thing I think is because of the number of problems that have been caused by extra terrestrial beings earth probably grew a tad bit more defensive. Lemme explain what I mean. Even though we have characters like superman or Martian manhunter, it is not uncommon for there to be some kind of invasion. Like the threat that brought the league together (gonna call them white martians cause I don't remember), or the thanagarians, many of the threats who appear on earth are also from offworld.

I'd say earth doesn't push to interact, but are still wary of who comes by this point in time. Or are at least trying to set plans in motion to better monitor any and all alien activity that comes to earth. Some countries are more lenient than others. So I'd expect to see some aliens here and there because there are heroes and other species he associated with those heroes, but I'm not expected to see to many who aren't watched or haven't had to go through legal means to be allowed on earth. If that makes any sense...
