For now, I'm okay with a two-person party. As it stands, it's a decent balance.

We've got the front-line tank and a ranged dps. Add in Marcus (because now he has a name) being a veteran gamer, if new to this particular one, and Will being accident-prone, and I think we've got lots of natural opportunities for snark to keep things light.

For fun, I'm gonna see how many references to other games I can find excuses for without breaking character. Already managed three. I'm also curious as to how mean Marcus will get, at least internally, as Will's tendencies come to light.

I'm probably not going to be able to post tomorrow, since I've got a five hour test and some family stuff on the same day, lol. I just hope that people can enjoy our posts from browsing the casual roleplay section and join that way.

Okay, whoa. Up until now, Will has been a spaz-matic doof. Over the course of a couple paragraphs, he completely blew that image.

I gotta say, Marcus comparing Will to the mentally-ill when they met was just a somewhat mean-spirited wisecrack, but damned if I didn't hit the nail on the head.

Additional thought: Think I'll hold off on posting for the evening. I need to recover from this revelation, and I feel that, at this point, it wouldn't be presumptuous to just assume we're en route to the town now. Suffice it to say that Raine is speechless.

You know all those stories about EVE online players destroying millions of dollars over fake wars? Will is sort of based on that phenomenon. Players who turn to multiplayer games to gain a sense of power and accomplishment that they can't get irl for whatever reason. Usually these types are manipulative and toxic, but Will is genuinely dumb and just wants validation from others. (although the right way to classify him in the DnD sense would be rock-bottom wisdom, high intelligence). He's a loon who's been self-trained to be normal, but now has an outlet for his buffoonery, if that makes sense.

I'd like to clarify that while Will knows a lot about the game's components he actually doesn't know anything about the game itself. He knows the "behind the scenes" on things like tree generation patterns but doesn't know a a single thing about the geography, lands, characters etc. Also since this is a comedy rp, being batshit crazy is going to be a rare occurrence.

She looks kind of what you'd expect a twelve year old girl to look like, though she has absolutely no interest in the real world. Her passions are fantasy and video games, two things that go together well. She is bubbly and a bit emotional/temperamental, but that's to be expected at her age. She's about as competent a player as you can expect of someone her age.

Character History - One day, when borrowing her older brother's computer, she saw that he had a pass code to a new MMO. Since he never let her play MMOs with him, she decided to use HIS code to make a character first, essentially locking him out. She had to get her parents to help her with the hardware, but they believed her when she said her brother had given her permission. True, she only had an hour before he would be back from school, but an hour was more than enough time to make an account. Unless it had character creation, but she'd burn that bridge was she crossed it.
