Steel resists grass, psychic, rock, and dragon. My two steel types are looking forward to how this all plays out! Hemlock has a diverse team, it won’t be easy.

@Harmony3812 I heard a fan theory that the reason even hardened villains give up when you've defeated them in the games is that pokemon are the equivalent of living guns; someone with one, no matter how weak and tired, has an advantage over someone without. Daiki isn't going to be sword-fighting with a kabutops. He's going to be running in, smacking it across the face, and then running some more.

Out of our current characters, he's the rogue archetype. Prince Teal is clearly our mage, and Chiyome is the warrior. We need a healer.

@Harmony3812Yeah, I checked the move list from Gen 1. I didn't see any water, ice, electric, or fire heals. I'll check gen 2's list.

@Regitnuithere are a few gen 2 moves that could work to heal yourself. We could say that you can use some of them, like Heal Bell, on others.

I'm going to blow your mind here, but what about later-generation pokemon that are related to Gen1+2 pokemon, like Wynaut, Glaceon, Leafeon, Sylveon, Yanmega, Magnezone, Ambipom, Magmortar, Electivire, Azurill, Lickilicky, Tangrowth, Mamoswine, Rhyperior and Weavile?

Honestly, I might accept an evolved form of a gen 1 or 2 pokemon, but what about megaevolutions? I'm not sure what I'd do, but new types would be hard to fit in (like Sylveon. It would be the only Fairy type in the world as far as we knew.)

Clefairy line, jigglypuff line, and Mr Mime line are all gen 1 fairy types.

Personally, I'd say no to mega evolutions and z-moves, just to keep the whole low-power medieval theme.

@TheUnknowable Fairy is super effective against dragon types, dark types, and fighting types. They are weak to poison and steel types. They’re not super complicated or game changing, and considering that there are gen 1 and 2 Pokemon who are now fairy type, I think they’re okay? But it’s 100% up to you.
