At last, Taurl took the assembled group to see Chief Goro. It wasn't a far walk to the chief's hut, which was clearly indicated by its sheer size. Of all the houses in the village, his was the only one to even approach the size of a human house.

"Chief? There you are. I know you're busy, so I won't keep you. May we have permission to launch a raid on the Rockbiter tribe? It won't take us more than a few hours, and I promise not to cause too many casualties. The plan is to get in and out, with as few deaths as possible. None at all if we do it well."

Tovo offers chief Goro a determined and confident look and reassures him.

"Don't worry about anything chief! Taurl is one of the most cunning and smart goblins I know. If he is the one leading us in this raid, it'll surely be a good one. I even promise you that I'd nab one chicken -no- a chicken and a piglet for you!"

Bok added on to Tovo's comment.

"It'll be beautiful." He appreciated the chief for what he did. Chiefs were pretty wise, and pretty strong, too. They had to be. Still, everytime he looked at him he couldn't help but wonder who the next chief was going to be. It was an important decision, as the leader of the tribe would be the one to decide almost everything that happened. Sure, there was the shaman, but really the chief decided what goes on in the village. For example, whether or not they really get to go on this raid of Taurl's.

"Alright. If we are cleared to go, we shall be off. Is everyone ready?" Taurl asked, eager to get going on the raid. He clutched his spear close to his chest. As he didn't have any containers, he'd only be able to take what could be carried by hand. Of course, with a fair number of goblins along with him, this could mean a reasonably large amount of loot.

"Yep. I'm tired of waitin' around, let's get on with it!" Bok was eager to bash some blokes bloody. He continued to follow the de facto leader of the raid now they had permission from the chief.

"No arguments from me, Taurl." Tovo states offhandedly as he checks if his bronze sword and lucky stick are secure on his loincloth to make doubly sure that neither of the two items fall off during the trek, or worse, during the chaos of the raid.

"Yeah, I'm sick of waiting," Nabi said as she was bouncing around on the balls of her feet. "Let's do this already." She turned to Ty. "Do you think you can lead the way? I would but . . . I really have no idea how to get there." Outside of going to the farms and wandering off into the forest a few times when she was a youngling, Nabi had never really ventured beyond the walls that surrounded the village before.

"Let's go!" Taurl didn't keep them waiting long. He took off, reaching the limits of the village in a matter of minutes. Beyond the village were the fields where they grew crops. Beyond that farmland were the woods, and beyond them, the Stonebiter's village. He took point, occasionally looking back to make sure that everyone was keeping up.

Tovo looks at his raid leader and asks. "So how we going to do this raid, Taurl? Is our approach gonna be a direct one or are we gonna be sneaky like?"

"Sneaky until the last moment. We won't have cover once we get too close to their village. At that point, we have to charge in, get stuff, and get out" Taurl explained.

Nabi followed closely behind the male goblins, as they got further and further away from the village, and closer to their rival tribe's territory, she found herself getting uneasy. Excitement blended with a hint of fear while she tried not to dwell on all the things that could go wrong on the raid. "How much longer until we get there?" she asked no in particular after they had traveled for a while.

"Got it." Tovo states with a nod before gathering small branches, mud, and some dry leaves to begin making a 'sneaking outfit' as he loves to call it. He smears the dirt on his skin, covering the once green flesh with brown muddy earth. He then uses the mud to stick the small braches onto his body and placing dry leaves on gaps the branches didn't cover. From a distance you couldn't differ Tovo from a regular bush.

"A couple of hours to get there and a couple to get back. And we need to spend as little time on the raid as possible. They'll recognize us as strangers, I'm sure" Taurl noted that one of the features of living in small villages was that it was possible to recognize everyone who lived there. This made infiltration harder.

"Does that mean I won't need my sneaking outfit?" Tovo asks, slightly saddened by the idea.

"You can put it on if you want to, but I'd advise you put your trust in speed more than stealth. The forest will give us cover most of the way in" Taurl explained.

Bok blinked a few times and realized he had been staring at a bird for about two minutes.

"Oops."

He turned to look at Taurl and Tovo and the girl he'd already forgotten the name of.

"Sorry for bein'...uh, busy. Very busy, very important thinkin' stuff," he lied. "But I'm really ready to go. Ready to smash. Speed in, speed out, like ya said."

(Let's get this back on track).

Taurl led the group past their tribe's farmland and into the woods. Their pace immediately slowed as the terrain changed from the soft grassy fields to the stick and needle-covered ground of the forest. The fact that it was a forest known for its thorn bushes didn't help much, either. On one hand, the woods served as a sort of barrier to attack, slowing down an enemy advance. On the other hand, this made advancing through the woods a tricky task. Still, this was the quickest way to the enemy tribe, even if the rough terrain would slow them a bit.

"How's everyone holding up? Careful, I think there are some pine needles up ahead."

Tovo trudges through the forrest floor slowly and carefully but still manages to gain some nicks and scratches from the thorn bushes he and his group passed. Though, he was more upset about the terrain having ruined his sneaking outfit. Rather than looking like a living bush, he now just looked like a dirty goblin that had forgotten to clean himself after having a bad time in the forrest.

"Other than me feeling bad about my sneaking outfit and the small scratches, I'm doing fine...I'm not so sure about the others though, Taurl."

"Ah, no need to worry about it. We're not exactly a tribe known for our fine clothing" Taurl admitted, fully aware that he was only clad in a piece of cloth around his waist. They continued their trek through the dense forest, eventually reaching the other side. The rival village lay within eyeshot, although it was still another minute or two away before they were out of the woods entirely.

"Alright, we've nearly reached 'em. Any questions before we start running? Remember, we have to get in and out as fast as possible. Any delays, and they could call their warriors over and kill us all."
