She puts the Fatum Unit over the table, then, she walked towards a bunch of lockers and pulled one drawer in particular. Inside of it, it was a big metallic suitcase that she picked up. She approached 5T and put the suitcase on the floor and opened it, picking up the blade that was inside.


Touko: Here it is, hope you like the results. I worked hard on this one and was fascinated by it's tech.

Ted: Pretty much.

Jerry: Then it's goodbye for now.

Kenneth: I wonder if I should conduct an orchestra. I find it interesting that they can work so well in sync. Maybe they exist in my world too. When I'm done with my mission there, maybe I'll spend the rest of my days composing songs. Or I could introduce them to the songs that I had the pleasure to listen here. I feel like it's going to be a great time...not only for me, but for the people that can marvel at the magnificence or these pieces. Don't you agree Sheila?

Amalia: For once, a streak of luck has hit me and I managed to find their original corpses. I will leave them under your command for now, but if anything goes haywire and someone questions who ordered them, instruct them as my agents.

Amalia: After all, since Amilia, Zeena and Isana are doing the groundwork at your name, we wouldn't wish for you to be entirely targeted, would we?

A dark hole opened once again under Amalia. She slowly descended as her image began to vanish inside it.

With her goodbye, Amalia's figure vanished inside the dark hole, which closed right after that.

Another young man went in the light-filled room. He seemed rather nonchalant.


???: You're the one saying it. I don't have ways to tell you whether you're right or wrong.

???: But to think that a god would want my services... and that he has the body of a kid.

???: Kiddy as I may look, you know my powers can actually do some little mix at destiny, right?

5T took Conflict's Blade at his hand and gave it a short swing. Sparks came out of it for an instant but they soon stopped. The blade seemed greatly improved, in comparison to what it was before.

Tiane: So that Ted's home huh?

Ted: You don't come here often right Tiane?

Tiane: I passed in front one time...Something about this place just gives me the creeps for some reason, which is why I never came back...

Ted: (I'd be surprised if she didn't...being a normal person and all.)

Tiane: Just get out already...I'm feeling some chill down my spine for some reason.

Ted leaves the car and watches it leaving the place until it was out of sight.

As she does so, the image of Sheila running towards her destination shows up on her mind, as if she was watching what transpired without being physically there.

Asagi and Hyde were done with the monsters that attacked them. Soon after, they started to head further into the abandoned place.


Asagi: Those were some pretty good moves back there.

Hyde: Same for you. Those guns looks so normal I thought they weren't going to do much against them.

Asagi: They're pretty hi-tech. That's why they are so powerful. (That's half true, I still have to use my power to increase the damage.)

Hyde: I see. You looked like some sort of action hero with all of those acrobatic jumps.

Asagi: That sword isn't normal either right? Either that or your super strenght did most of the job.

Hyde: It's a combination of both.

Asagi: Interesting...let's leave the talk about the weapons later, I'm sure you want to know the reason of why I am here.

Hyde: That's right, make sure to not skip any details.

Asagi: Well, it's quite simple really...I felt some kind of energy that was similar to mine, so I decided to investigate.

Hyde: Similar?

It wasn't only that, suddenly, a couple of cars appeared as well, surrounding the entrance. Rosa dropped her umbrella and ordered the police guarding the place to be on alert.


Rosa: This is certainly not what I'd call a friendly gathering...

Hiagor: Yo Jerald! How is it going?

Jerry: Hello detective...I assume you came here for Kaori right?

Hiagor: That's right. Can I enter?

Jerry: Rejected! She went through some heavy stuff right now, so it would be better if you just came back at a later date. I can't get into details, now get out.

Hiagor: Worth a try...Johnson wasn't around, so I thought I had a chance today...

Jerry: You're lucky Mr. Johnson had to be elsewhere...or else he would chew you out again.

Hiagor: Tell me about it...

Jerry: Yes and...Hm?

Suddenly, he sees some kind of bottle flying towards them, Jerry quickly kicks it away and it shatters when it hit the ground, spilling the alcohol inside it, with the fire at the tip of the cloth causing it to burn.


Jerry: Who's there?

Hiagor turned around and saw a group of people approaching them with homemade bombs and some bikers as well.


Hiagor: The mysterious group? They look more primitive than usual...

Jerry: Maybe it's just some hired arms...It doesn't feel like this is their main force.

Hiagor: Or a distraction...You go back to the house.

Jerry: Eh? You plan to take on all of those by yourself?

Hiagor: It's exactly what it looks like. This is no longer a safe place for them. Take Kaori and her mother away from here.

Jerry: Will you be okay?

Hiagor: Why are you still here? Have the police help you out with cover fire. The earlier they are taken to a safe place, the better.

Jerry: (He's way more serious than usual...) Alright then, Don't die.

Jerry went inside, he was planning to leave by the backdoor, meanwhile, Hiagor walked towards the group while glowing in a red aura.


Hiagor: This will be the perfect opportunity to awaken old muscles...my fight against Rayla wasn't even a fight...so you guys will be the perfect targets for me. You'll see how terrifying a chi master can really be compared to ancestor mages.

The same was happening in Lilina's home, as another group had already gathered around her residence, openly demonstrating their intent towards their guardians.


Kail: Now there's something that will heat things up...Not even this rain is going to cool this off that's for sure.

From afar, a lone figure was observing the situation. He was the one that was sent there to help Rosa out.


Victor: They just look like some random gang of weaklings. Maybe I should be on guard for reinforcements.

The pink-haired girl walked around a lone part of the streets, close to the Suburbs. She calmly walked along the other people in the rain. While holding her umbrella, she looked around, calm.


???: The rain may not be a lot helpful to people, but it has its wonders. At least the people don't suffer too much attacks from the thugs.

???: I guess my rounds are done. I should return to the Winter District and inform Sir Krantz about the situation.

The portal opened right next to her and Azrel soon landed at the sidewalk. His landing did quite a slightly loud splash, which made the girl notice.


Azrel: (So, this is Unitia then. I think I should begin by getting a little of information around. And a map as well.)

Azrel: (Hopefully, I wasn't found by anyone who'd deem me that suspicious.)

???: What? Hey, you!

Azrel: And I got found... wonderful.

???: You did got found! Who in the blazes are you?! How did you managed to appear like this?!

Azrel: Sorry, girlie, but I've no obligation to tell you.
???: You... don't you have a little more respect for authorities?!

Azrel: Authorities...? You don't look like one. By the by, who are you?
???: If I remember well, I asked you first!

When she finally looked, people were indeed staring at her. They began to walk on their ways as her face got red.

Mia took her special handcuffs and went to bind Azrel. In the moment she touched him, her hand passed through him. In fact, herself went right through him.


Mia: What?

Azrel's Illusion: Oh, I forgot to mention... you fell on the oldest trick on a book. You were so convinced that I used this moment to escape.

Azrel's Illusion: Goodbye for now, officer Mia. Maybe our paths will cross again.
Mia: Hold it right there! I'm not done with you!

But in a second, the illusion finally disappeared, leaving Mia completely astonished at her failure.


Mia: Damn it, I can't believe I fell for a stupid illusion trick! How could I be so careless?!

The Winter District was the shopping center and business domain of Unitia, possessing a variety of offices and shops for people to go. Of course, there are people who live there. Among the skyscrapers and the commerce, an unknown manor stood there.

The butler went in the room. Sitting in the bed, playing with a teddy bear like a small kid, the boy looked at him.

Bell: Is it just me...or the air is heavier than normal here?

Haken: Not just you...It's kinda hard to breath. What is this pressure?

Fear: There's someone over there that doesn't seem fazed by this.

???: Seriously...where in the netherworld am I?

Bell: (Those ears...)

They saw someone approaching them, cleary not in a happy mood.


???: I'm seeing some human worms over there...Hey! Do you chumps live here or something?

Bell: (He's a rude one...) Not really, right now this is just our current resting place. Those ears, I assume that you're not from this world too?

???: Hmmm...That means we're on the same boat.

Haken: Talk about understanding the situation fast. In that case how about we join forces? We're searching for a way to get back to our worlds.

Music: 焦躁の行方


???: Not interested. I was on a fierce fight against my rivals...and since I suddenly was dragged to this world, it means my army must've been wiped out by now. I'll just ensalve this entire planet first, then find a way back to my home. It's easier that way.

Haken: Just our luck...running into a power hungry overlord in the middle of a crazy place such as this...

???: Don't worry, If you swear loyalty to me, I'll promise you a good life under my rule.

Fear: Really now?

???: That's right! Me, the Great Renani, Tyrant of the Supreme Golden Light, will be the new ruler of this world. You would do good in joining me if you want to be spared.

Fear: Interesting proposal...what do you guys think?

Haken: Here's my answer.

Haken suddenly pulls a gun that fires a powerful energy blast at Renani, who managed to swat it away.


Renani: My arm stings a bit...guess you won't bore me as much...

Suddenly, the air gets even heavier, he was liberating his energy in order to increase his strenght.


Renani: I guess you guys won't be needing the time to start praying for your pathetic lives! Your souls will be forever plagued by the memories of your tragic and gruesome death! As I, the Tyrant of the Supreme Golden Light, is going to make sure that all of your hopes will be nothing more than...

Fear: That's it...I'm shutting him up...

Despite the heavy pressure, Fear easily closed in the distance between her and Renani, then, punched him with her shield and started dragging him until he hit a wall. Then, she continuosly dealt blow after blow until the wall behind him broke.


Renani: Argh...

Fear: If you want to keep hearing the sound of your voice, then how about giving me something that weights more than these two shields I'm holding? Maybe then I'll actually believe in your boring banter.

Renani: Why you...

Fear turns around and starts walking away. This made Renani angrier than before, prompting him to run at Fear in order to attack her, but he was stopped by a sniper bullet in the forehead, sending him back to the building. Fear turns around again.


Fear: (Well, I know better than being close to these guys when she is about to snipe something.)

Bell: ...

Haken: What we should we do now Miss Holy Shields? We can't exactly let this guy run amok in the city.

Fear: Beat the crap out of him, what else?

Haken: Had a feeling you would say that.

Suddenly, the building Renani was collapsed after an explosion of mana that he unleashed.


Renani: You worthless worms...That wasn't bad at all...you've earned the right to give me your names.

Fear: Me? Well, if you really want to know...




Haken: And this handsome and cool guy here is called...




Fear: And the sniper over there is our mascot. We call her Bell.

Bell: Hey, let me introduce myself!

Fear: The frontlines have priority...Your turn will have to wait.

Fear: With that said...Let's finish this quickly.

Hiagor was defeating the group with ease. He could easily close in the distance between him and the ones that held guns and punch any opponent to send them flying away. He always made sure to not put too much strenght into it, as he wanted to at least capture one alive for questioning.


Hiagor: (I'm certain someone from the mysterious organization is watching...but from where?)
Man: We got paid to fight this guy? No way I'm staying dude...

One of the thugs started running away, but Hiagor got in front of him almost in an instant.

Man: Wah!!!

Hiagor: Who paid you?
Man: I...I don't know...the guy just said that we had to cause some ruckus with the police...

Hiagor: Are you...

Hiagor suddenly punched someone who was about to attack him from behind.


Hiagor: Are you really not hiding anything?
Man: Of course not...I swear!

Hiagor: ...
Man: Now will you let me go?

Hiagor: Let's see...

He picks the man up and throws him at the other thugs.


Hiagor: I'm afraid that you all will be placed under arrest. Attacking authorities is a crime you know?

Hiagor then, continued beating the thugs down, meanwhile, Jerry arrived at Kaori's room.


Jerry: Alright you two, let's get going!

Andorina: Eh? What is happening?

Kaori: Hm?

Kaori looks through the window and sees a body flying past her sights.


Jerry: That it's what is happening. I already alerted your mother, she's waiting at the back door.

Kaori: Why are we running?

Jerry: Because Hiagor had one nasty bad feeling...And I'm willing to follow his warning. This place isn't safe anymore.

Kaori: ...Alright, let's go Andorina.

Andorina: O-Okay.

Once they reached the back door, they noticed that it was wide open. They hear a scream coming from outside.


Jerry: No way...

Kaori: MOM!!!

Jerry: Don't go Kaori, I'll go rescue her...You worry about getting to a safe place.

Kaori: But...

Jerry: I'm leaving her to you Andorina...Oh, and take this just in case.

He summons a handgun and gives it to Kaori. He knows she would have a better chance at hitting the shots.


Jerry: Just aim at their feet, that's all I have to say...Now then...


Jerry leaves the house and notices four armored soldiers flying on the air, one of them carrying Kaori's mother.


Jerry: (So this is the bad feeling he was having...Compact Glaive Users...Regardless, I have to rescue Kaori's mom.)

He then started fighting the soldiers while Kaori and Andorina managed to escape from the battlefield.

Spring Zone - Sayaka's House

Meanwhile, Rosa was blasting her enemies away with her powers, making sure the explosions just pushed them around. She needed to show they had no chance of winning.


Rosa: Look, it's clear that you guys are not going to win...So how about you guys turn yourselves win and tell the police what is happening?

Some of them started considering their options while the others decided to attack again.


Rosa: Sigh...If that's what you want...

But then, she heard the sound of a missile heading towards her. She fired an energy shot at it and jumped behind the police car. An explosion ocurred, lifting a cloud of smoke and dust.


Rosa: So they are bringing the big guns?

???: Seriously...these chumps lost already? C'mon, that didn't even serve as a distraction.

Rosa: (I'm hearing a man's voice.)

???: Maybe I'll fire another shot...

Rosa: There he his.

Rosa leaves her cover and fires an energy blast towards the direction where she was hearing the voice. The man dodges the attack. Once the dust settles, Rosa saw two vans arriving at the place.


Four people left the vans, all wearing some kind of armor.


Rosa: Ah!

???: I bet you know what these are.

Rosa: Compact Glaives...

???: Exactly! These are finally ready for field testing...and the guild will be its first target. I would be honored if I was you!

Rosa: Sorry, but I'm not going to let you do what you want.

Meanwhile, Kail was also dealing with the waves of enemies at ease, but all of a sudden, someone managed to pin him to a wall, catching him completely by surprise.


???: Hi there cutie! That's some nice display of strenght.

Kail: W-Who are you?

Veria: Pretty sorry, can't give my name, but just call me Veria for now.

Kail: I see...Then nice to meet YOU!!!

He manages to overpower her and throw her away, but she landed on her feet.


Veria: Woo...So that's the power of a member of the guild huh? Kinda glad that I've decided to join this mission.

Kail: So you're with the mysterious group? About time the real deal showed up.

Veria: I believe those guys will be answering your question.

Then, two vans stopped near the place, with more compact glaive users coming out of them.


Soldier: ...

Veria: We can't afford failures this time, so time to see if these things are really worth the investiment.

Kail: Too bad for you, I'll turn your friends into crushed tin cans.

Veria: Can you really do it in time to save Miss Lilina?

Kail: I believe this guy will be answering your question!

He tihgly grips his axe, then goes on the offensive. Two of the soldiers stood in front of Veria and blocked his strike.


Kail: What?

Veria: Time's ticking cutie! Don't get surprised by something like this!

She kicks Kail away while the other two soldiers manages to pin him down on the ground with two punches aimed at his gut.


Kail: Kargh!!!

Veria: Now then...

Kail: Is that...ALL?

Kail quickly overpowers the glaive users and throws them at Veria, who ducks under them.


Kail: I'm just getting started.

Veria: Seems like it's going to be a tough one even with these Defense-Types...Not that I'm complaining though...

Victor: I should strike if they manage to pass through him.

The noises made it clear: whatever was happening outside wasn't good. This wasn't also a good time for them to stay here.


Lilina: W-What's going on?!

Masaru: We're being attacked! We need to run!

Lilina: B-But to where?! And what about Kail?!

Masaru: I don't know, but here's not a good place to stay, Lilina!
Drake: Hey, you two!!

When they looked at the window from behind them, Drake went in, already armed.


Lilina: Drake!

Drake: C'mon, let's get out of here! I'll take you all somewhere safe!

Masaru: Wait, we can't leave Sir Kail behind like this!

Drake: Now's not the time for you to lament! We need to hide you and fast!

Lilina gave one last glance at the door, worried about Kail. She didn't want to leave him behind, but she had no choice other than running.

Sayaka was terribly frightened. The memories from the day where she was almost kidnapped began to torture her again as she trembled in fear.


Sayaka: N-No... not this again... am I going to be captured, just like this?!

Sayaka: M-Miss Rosa... I'm so worried... and scared... I need to call help!

She picked her cellphone and ran immediately to her room. She locked the doors and the windows and quickly dialed Veronica's number.


Sayaka: (Please, Veronica, pick up! Please...! Please!!)

Location: Spring Zone - Intermezzo Mansion

As Veronica still watched over Bloo, her phone began to ring. It was Sayaka.


Veronica: Hi, Sayaka! How's it going-
Sayaka: V-Veronica, I'm being attacked! By the same guys from before!!

Veronica: No way! Sayaka, are you alright?!
Sayaka: I locked myself into my room, but I don't know for how long I'll stay safe!! Veronica, I need help!! I'm scared...!! I don't know what to do!!

Veronica: D-Don't worry, I'll call for help! Please, hang on tight!
Sayaka: *sob* Please, hurry!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIEEEEEEEEEEEE- *call turns off*

Veronica: Sayaka?! Sayaka!!

She tried to call her, but no response came from Sayaka. Veronica started to get desperate herself.

Loud thunders could be heard from the window, which seemed as if the rain would fall even stronger. Alice went to the local market, so only the brothers were at home. Soon, Marina's phone started ringing.


Marina: Marina speaking.
Veronica's Voice: Marina!! Marina!!

Marina: Veronica? Is something wrong?
Veronica's Voice: It's Sayaka!! She's being attacked!!

Marina: What?! Sayaka is being attacked?!

Upon hearing his sister, Xaizor hurried and took the phone from her hand.


Xaizor: Veronica?! What the hell happened?!
Veronica's Voice: The terrorists are attacking again!! They got Sayaka!! She just called to me right now and-

Xaizor: Then the thunder we heard earlier...!!
Veronica's Voice: I don't know what to do!! I don't want to call Big Bro or the others on this! Please, I need you to help Sayaka!!

Her desperate plea made Xaizor throw Marina's phone on the couch and he quickly went to the door.


Marina: Xaizor, where are you going?!

Xaizor: I'm going after Sayaka! I'm rescuing her before it's too late!

Marina: But Miss Rayla just said-

Renani: VANIIIIIIIISH!!!

He started throwing energy spheres at Haken and Fear. Fear kept repelling them away while Haken dodged and fired back at Renani, who in turn, destroyed the bullets with more spheres.


Fear: Closing in!

Fear started running again, but this time went for a sliding kick. He jumped over it and anticipated the following the sniper shot by moving his head to the side. As he landed, he fired another sphere to shield himself to Haken's bullets, then turned towards Fear to block the incoming strikes.


Renani: Kurgh...

Fear: See how combat gets more effective when you're not stroking your ego?

Renani: Don't get so confident just because you got me to actually try here.

Fear: That's the spirit. Keep it up and you'll go far.

Renani: HAAA!!!

She blocked the incoming punch and was pushed away a bit. Then he focused on Haken.


Renani: Guess I know who'll die first.

Haken: I welcome you to try.

Haken started firing with his Nightfowl and Long Tomb guns at the same time. Renani avoided them and closed in, starting to assault Haken with a barrage of fists, forcing Haken into the defensive.


Haken: Urgh...

Renani: HAHAHA! I wonder how long that black gun of yours can withstand my attacks.

Haken: I wonder about that myself. Are you willing to bet?

Renani: Yes, but just because my odds are 100% in my favor!

Haken dodged to following strike and thrusted Nightfowl into Renani's chest.

Suddenly, Haken activated Nightfowl's built-in pile bunker, launching Renani into the air, he followed up with six more strikes, juggling his opponent and launching him away with the last strike.

Without putting much enthusiasm in her voice, Fear dealt a powerful kick that launched Renani at another building.


Fear: That still won't put him down...He'll most likely get angrier and angrier.

Haken: What a troublesome tyrant...

Renani: Grrr...HAAAAAAAAA!!!

He fired another barrage of Spheres. Haken took shelter behind Fear.


Fear: For all of his boasting, I still didn't see anything about him that is gold.

Haken: Maybe he was refering to his hair or his wealth?

As both girls arrived there, they saw Hiagor punching away another gangster. It seemed to be the last one.


Hiagor: Hm? Where's Jerald?

Kaori: ...

Andorina: They have captured Kaori's mom, so he's fighting them to take her back....Some guys wearing creepy armors with wings.

Hiagor: Yep...Knew something like this would happen...But wasn't expecting them to get Kaori's mother like this...

Hiagor pulls up a notepad. He tries to think which is the safest and closest place for them, then writes down the adress and gives them the paper.


Hiagor: You'll be going to this place ASAP

Kaori: Yurei Seimei? That's Ted home right?

Hiagor: Yes, now get going...oh and policemen, head to where Jerald is, I think he might need backup.
Police Officer: What about you sir?

Hiagor: I need to see these two off. Securing a safe route is priority now. (And to see if my our hidden observer is going to make a move.)
Police Officer: Alright.
Police Officer 2: We'll do our best.

Hiagor: Now then, you two should leave now.

Hearing Kaori's warning, Hiagor intercepts someone that was about to attack them from above.

Hiagor: I'm sure they'll be fine...besides, you don't have any more powerful soldiers around right? I'm sure they can scare a bunch of thugs with just a gun.

Hiagor: I'll trust Jerald's judgement, that's all there is to it. Now then, I believe I have to take you down now.

Then, she started attacking back with her own barrage of fists, in which Hiagor had to avoid and take some distance afterwards when one punch was about to hit him.


Nana: Nice reflexes...so a Chi Master can still be really fast.

Hiagor: That's my line. (That reaction time of hers is going to be a problem...If I'm too reckless, I'll just end up wasting time.)

Meanwhile, a crossfire between Rosa's energy shots and the enemies energy bullets ensued. The mysterious man kept approaching the house.


Rosa: Kurgh...Guards, it's your turn.
Police Officer: Open fire!!!

The guards started to fire at the man, but to everyone's surprise, he dodged all of the bullets.


Rosa: No way!

???: I'll let you on in a little secret...I'm a Psychic User myself. Nothing that you do will be able to reach me as long as I can read your movements.

Rosa: Grr...Focus on the glaive soldiers, I'll get him.
Police Officer: Understood.

???: It's a waste of time...You won't win.

Rosa: If I backed down now, I wouldn't be worthy of being a member of the guild.

???: Heh...So you all are really a bunch of suicidal fools.

He keeps his fist half-closes and moves it back a bit, as if motioning for a punch. Rosa knew exactly what that motion meant and ran towards him. The man thrusted his hand fowards and she dodged to the left.


???: What? (How did she knew I was going to use my psychic aura?)

Rosa: (Thanks for telling me that you're a Psychic User.) Unleashing EXS! Mystical Buster!!!

Rosa moves her arms behind her and fires an energy blast that propels her foward while also being enveloped in a magic barrier. Her plan was to ram the man with a damaging tackle, he managed to dodge at the last second, but the attack managed to hit his arm, dislocating it from his shoulder


???: ARGH!!!

Rosa: Almost...

???: Fire the blaster shots!

Rosa: !!!

She focused her attention on the armored soldiers again. They had put their guns away and pointed their right arms at Rosa. The armor on their arms changed into what looked like a cannons, which started to fire energy projectiles, Rosa started firing back at them, but the bullets had roughly an equal power output, making them cancel each other.


Rosa: (There's too many bullets, I won't be able to shot them all down.)

She dodged back to cover, some of the shots managed to hit the front of the house.

Police Officer: Dammit, it it wasn't for that armor, or bullets would have some effect...

Rosa: (If I take my time to shot a powerful beam, that would give time for this guy to enter the house.)

???: I must praise you landing this strike. It's obvious this wasn't your first encounter with a Psychic User. Anyway. I'll invite myself in to this lovely home.

Rosa: Wait!!!

The moment she demonstrated that she was about to leave cover, the armored soldiers started firing at her again, blocking her path.


Rosa: Urgh...

???: I guess this is it for you. There won't be any failures this time...

Kenneth: I believe this is our time to shine.

Sheila: Indeed...

Soldier: What? Who's there? Reveal yourself or else we'll-

Music: Tenma no Kesshin

Before he could finish the sentence, Kenneth punched him in the jaw and sent him flying towards the other soldiers.


???: What the...

The man turned around and saw Kenneth, but Sheila was nowhere to be seen.


???: The hell? I swear I heard two people.

Sheila: Don't worry, you're not going crazy.

???: AAAH!!!

He turns around and does a backstep, seeing Sheila armed with a knife.


???: !!!

Sheila: (Such reaction time...Probably even better than Lady Crimson.)

???: Super speed huh? Well, it won't work twice on me, because I'll be hearing your steps miles away.

Sheila: I'm betting that your next line would've been something along the lines of "You should've killed me when you had the chance."

???: ...If you know this much, why didn't you do it? Are you some confident thrill seeker or something.

Sheila: I need you alive right now. I just have to make sure you won't escape after I defeat you. Your first instinct after receiving such attack from me would just make you run, afraid of taking more risks.

???: Well, you seem pretty knowledgeable about Psychic Users, but that alone won't be enough to stop me.

Sheila: You're right, in fact, I did plant a C4 at your back.

Sheila: (Yep, he's the paranoid type if he fell for this bluff.)

He checked his back to try to see the C4, however, the distraction gave the opening Sheila needed to throw a knife at his right leg. He kneeled in pain after being hit, Sheila then, ran at the man and kicked him in the head, knocking him to the ground.


???: Argh... (Wait a second...why someone so fast kicks like a normal human?)

Then, he felt his chest being stepped on by Sheila.


Sheila: You're really easy to scare...

???: Well then...after this, I'll make you fear my very face!

Rosa: (It's that motion again.) Watch out, he's going to a psychic strike!

Sheila: !!!

Sheila waited for him to do the motion, then did a backstep to avoid the invisible wave.


???: (She didn't use her super speed this time...)

Sheila: Woo...My chin felt that. Thanks for the warning. Kenneth, how are you doing?

Kenneth: I'm managing to give them some trouble. They are not your average soldiers that's for sure if they can stand up after my attacks.

The man gets up and removes the knife from his leg, using his aura to slow the bleeding.


???: If you're some sort of daredevil, then you choose the wrong place to be in.

Sheila: I'm more serious than you can ever imagine.

???: Whatever you say.

He fired another rocket, then immidietaly tossed the launcher away and pulled a automatic gun and discharged it at Sheila.


Sheila: (Right now...I wish for strenght!)

Her body brifely glowed in a purple-ish aura, then she avoided the missile and kept running to avoid being out of the man's line of fire.


???: (That's not the same speed she showed a while ago...)

She noticed a little pause on the barrage. Sheila stopped for a moment and ran in the opposite direction, guessing that he would shoot a bit ahead of her to correct his aim.


???: (She's no slouch in combat either...)

Sheila: Haaa!

Another knife was thrown, he ducked under it and tossed his gun back at her. She dodged it and avoided the following punch.


Sheila: (The strenght buff is almost over...Better make this count.)

She dealt a kick that sent him to the air, another one to bounce him off and another one to send him higher into the air. Then she did a high jump and kicked him back to the ground.

Police Officer: Got it.

Sheila: You're totally right.

???: (But wait, the pressure of her attacks felt different from the Guild Member. While Psychic Users can't feel other types of energy, their sense of touch can register the kind of damage they receive...)

???: That was just an example. I didn't actually mean to say that you're an In-Birth.

Sheila: Feels more like an accidental guess if you ask me.

Meanwhile Kenneth tricked two soldiers to blast each other.

Meanwhile Kail was having trouble passing through the tight defenses of the armored soldiers. They've managed to hold him in place, giving Veria time to head towards the residence.


Kail: Dammit!!! Get out of my way you pieces of scrap metal!

He started overpowering them, but Veria was very close to enter the house. The Police attacked her with batons, but she easily dodged them and knocked them to the ground.


Veria: Sorry there friends, but I'm invading this castle...

When she looked foward however, someone else was charging at her with a hammer.

Veria: Wha-

Victor: Too slow.

The hammer strike was succesful, sending her away. Then, Victor pulled out a pair of twin blades and slashed her with them. After that, he picked a pair of pistols that he had throwed in the air before he attacked with hammer, and then, he fired a barrage of energy bullets towards Veria. Then, Kail pushed the armored soldiers away.


Kail: Whoa, what? (Who's this guy?)

Veria: Urgh...YOU!!!

She seemed to know who he is. The man who had left Unitia's military force and hasn't been seen since. His name was...




Veria: Ghost of the Kresnik Family...what are you doing here? I thought you left with your tail between your legs.

Victor: I just moved to a place where I can fight for what I believe in...that's all.

Veria: ...hmmm

Victor: You over there, take care of these armored soldiers. Even if they can withstand your attacks, they can still faint if you hit them hard enough in the head.

Kail: O-Okay...I knew that.

Veria: You know...guess I'll forget about Lilina for now. You're a much valuable target to capture right now.

Sayaka got out, being held hostage by a young blue haired man. The police officer had his hands and feet frozen.


???: Enough of this. I got the girl.

Sayaka: P-Please!! Help me!!

???: If any of you move, she's dead meat.

However, the hostage soon saw herself being free. A black shadow jumped right into the field, attacking the young man who held her and pulling him away. When the form became visible, Sayaka knew who it was.


Sayaka: Xaizor!

Xaizor: Are you alright now?

Sayaka: Y-Yes...! T-Thanks to you and to everyone, I'm safe!

Xaizor: Good, but it's not over yet. Head back inside. We'll take care of them.

Sayaka: O-OK. Please be careful, the four of you.

Sayaka ran back inside her house. The newcomers in the battlefield faced each other.


???: Who the hell are you?

Xaizor: What does it matter to you?! What matters here is that I'm your enemy! Nothing else!

???: Sayaka called you as Xaizor... I suppose that's your name.

Xaizor: You're right. I don't need your name, so I'm going to call you as... practice doll.

Xaizor: Especially because you bastards are harming my friend for a second time! You're not getting away with this!!

???: Tch...!! It's just one thing after the other!

The young man raised an ice spike with a motion in order to attack Xaizor. He evades it with a backstep and rushes in to close the distance.

???: The hell?!

Xaizor: Eat dirt!!

He tries to hit Xaizor with a punch, but the attack is evaded. Taking the window of opportunity, Xaizor slashed him several times before sending him in the air. He charged his energy and sent the man away with a dark fire blast.


???: Urgh...!! How the hell can a teenager be this strong?!

Xaizor: I'm not called the Dragon Black Knight just for show. Anyway, you two should just give up. You're not gonna win this, that's for sure.

???: Shut the hell up, you cocky little weasel! I'll freeze you and break you in pieces afterwards!

The blade of his nightfowl unfolds and Haken starts attacking Renani with it. The demon dodges attack after attack and blocks the last swing, holding the blade.


Haken: Urgh...

Renani: I guess this is it for you.

He punches Haken and sends him flying. He fires one last beam from his Long Tomb gun before he hits the ground and Renani just tanks the hit.


Renani: Now then...where's the other one.

Renani notices that Fear had dropped her shields on the ground. He looks around but she's nowhere to be seen.


Renani: Oh c'mon, she gotta be around here somewhere. I'm aware of your guys tricks by now.

Fear: (Then look up imbecile...)

All of a sudden, Renani feels a sharp pain in his back. It was Fear, now holding a black katana. She keeps slashing at him until he was launched away by the last swing of the blade.


Fear: That's one rough skin...

Renani: Urgh...Argh...

Bell: Did we do it?

Renani: You...stupid...deplorable...worms...

Haken: He can still keep going even after that?

Music: Absolute Fear


Renani: You worms are lucky...that I had a fierce fight...or else, I wouldn't be this weak...but don't think...DON'T THINK YOU'VE WON YET SCUM!!! HAAAAAAAA!!!!

Renani's sudden surge of energy creates a powerful gust of wind. Without the weight from the shields, Fear was blown away.


Fear: Crap!

Bell: So he was holding back all along?

Renani: GOLDEN ERASURE!!!

Then, he creates a massive sphere of mana energy colored in a golden light. Meanwhile, Fear managed to find a traffic sign to hold herself.


Fear: Ah, I've spotted the gold mates.

Haken: Too bad it will turn us into gold...Truly a Midas touch.

Bell: ...I have to...fire as much as possible until he's down.

Fear: (I have to reach my shields...but...)

She felt her grip loosening. Fear's poor stamina had reached its limit. Their only hope now was Sister Bell, who kept firing shot after shot at Renani's vitals, but he still didn't fall.


Renani: DIEEEEEEE!!!!

Then, he throws the sphere at them. The strong gust of wind was gone, but now, the energy was sucking them in instead.


Bell: Gyaa!!! No...

Haken: This is gonna hurt.

Fear: Another trip to the hospital I guess...

Renani: IT'S THE END! FINALLY! AHAHAHAHAHA! AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! THIS IS HOW DEATH LOOKS LIKE TO SCUM LIKE YOU!!!

Hyde: Raging...

Renani: Huh?

Hyde: ROAR!!!

Music: Raise the anchor

Hyde slashed his sword in a foward arc, unleashing a massive wave of energy that collided with the Golden Erasure sphere. Renani stared in confusion at what was happening. Then, Raging Roar won the dispute and headed toward Renani, who had to dodge the attack.


Hyde: HUFF...HUFF...HUFF...

Bell: Is that...Mr.Hyde?

Haken: So the kid had some tricks up his sleeve huh?

Fear: That tough guy attitude wasn't just all talk...Alright, I'll give him that.

Hyde: A "thank you" would be really appreciated right now guys.

Bell: Sorry...And thanks for saving us.

Renani: Did the universe suddenly decided to hate me or something? Why won't you worms die?

Fear: Nanoma-

Bell: Not it's not that. Be quiet Sister Fear.

Fear: Don't ruin my fun.

Asagi: Yep...My hunch was right...You're a demon, aren't you? What are you doing here?

Renani: You're asking me? All I know is that my army is probably gone, and I'm going to use these worms as replacement.

Asagi: Yeah...I'm going to have to stop you here.

Renani: I JUST WANT TO SEE YOU TRY!!!

Asagi: Alright everyone, stay back, I'll handle him.

Hyde: I'll help...

Asagi: You just used all of your strenght to stop a death ball...right now, you need to take the others to safety.

Fear: (But first...)

Fear picked up her shields again, then headed towards the others for safety, now it was only Asagi vs Renani.


Asagi: By the way, Do you think that I look familiar?

Renani: Why would I ever think that? You look just like the others.

Asagi: For real though?

Renani: Don't make me repeat myself...

Asagi: Alright, just asking... (So he isn't here for me...That's a relief.)

Renani: Now that you stopped being weird...let's get this over with.

Asagi: Are you sure you can do it by yourself? It seems they did quite a number on you.

Renani: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!!

Asagi: Forget I asked anything...

They both run at each other, ready to begin the last round.

Meanwhile, Hiagor and Nana were evenly matched. She always managed to avoid Hiagor's powerful strikes, but in exchange, any time she found a possible opening in his offense, he would block the incoming strike and attempt to counter her attacks.


Nana: Tch...

Hiagor: Hyaaa!!!

She backstepped in order to avoid his counterattack. He used his speed to get behind Nana, but she attacked with a backhand punch, forcing him to duck and dodge the incoming kick. Then, he started to dodge a barrage of energy projectiles, closing in on her and punching the ground near her, causing pieces of debris to fly towards her. She started to swat those away and dodge incoming punches from Hiagor.


Hiagor: Almost...

Nana: Take this!

Nana attacked with a fast flurry of punches, which Hiagor had to block, punshing him way with the last strike of the combo.


Nana: (Now I know how troublesome these Chi Masters can get...He can react to my movements just as fast as me...)

Hiagor: You're a slippery one...But I'm starting to get a grasp on your reaction time.

Nana: (I noticed that he was trying to get a hold of me...If that happens, then it's good-bye mission...I have to find a way to get to his blind spot faster than he can discover how fast I react.)

Hiagor: Here I come!

Hiagor dashed foward at high speeds. He started cirling around Nana in order to find an opening, however, she once again read his movements and fired an energy shot that forced him to dodge, however, what she didn't expect is that it wouldn't slow him down.


Nana: (No way, did he already...)

Hiagor: Alright!

Nana: It's no use as long as I can see you.

Predicting that he would attack from a blind stop, she turned around the moment she felt his approach, but then, he went back into circling her and repeat the same routine. Someone watching this from outside would notice many after-images getting near Nana and dissapearing soon after.


Nana: Will you attack already?

Hiagor: Well...they do say that the first one to attack has the advantage...Alright then.

Nana: (Here he comes.)

Nana turns around, but notices Hiagor closer than she anticipated. The next barrage of punches that he threw at her felt like many close-calls to Nana.


Nana: (He's almost reaching me...But, this might be my chance...I just have to adjust my timing for a moment to get behind him.)

Nana ducks under one punch and moves behind him in an instant.


Nana: (He's mine!!!)

However, Hiagor turns around and manages to get a hold of her fist. She applies more energy into the strike, but Hiagor didn't release his grip.


Nana: Impossible.

Hiagor: Finally...I've got you. You were a formidable opponent, but this ends here...

Hiagor delives a barrage of slow, but powerful punches, focusing on incapacitating Nana. He launched her to the air and fired a beam of chi energy, then finished the combo with a flying kick.


Hiagor: Shinha Rougeki Reppa!

Nana: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!

She fell on the ground, Hiagor wiped out the sweat on his forehead, glad that he managed to best his enemy.


Hiagor: Alright Miss Nana...This is the end for you.

Nana: NOT...A CHANCE!!!

Hiagor: !!!

Nana got up from the ground despite her injuries. Hiagor was perplexed by the wings that appeared on her back.


Nana: This is...not over yet.

Hiagor: Impressive...I would say that not many people could get up after that attack...but you're honestly the first person I ever used this attack on...

Nana: I'm surprised with myself as well. (Though, I don't think my body can take another one...)

Hiagor: Now then...Time to finish what I've started.

Music: Baroque and Beats

Hiagor went for the attack again, but all of a sudden, a new Armored Knight appeared and blocked Hiagor's strike.


Armored Soldier: Urgh...

Hiagor: C'mon...we were getting to the good part.

Armored Soldier: Agent Nana, fall back at once. I'll hold him here.

Nana: (An Elite Flying Type? So those are completed as well...Good to know.) Understood...We'll finish this another day Hiagor Marlek. Just like how you can learn how I move, I can learn how you move as well. The next battle won't be like this one.

She runs away, Hiagor attempts to go after her but, the Armored Soldier stands in his way.


Armored Soldier: I won't let you pass.

Hiagor: (And this guy is fast too...)

Armored Soldier: I know I can't win...but holding you here is my objective now.

Hiagor: So it seems...

Meanwhile, Jerry was using the Armored Soldiers as stepping stones in order to reach the one that was holding Kaori's Mother. However, the soldier flew higher in order to avoid him.


Jerry: (Psychic Aura, I'm counting on you.) HA!!!

He launched his psychic aura towards the soldier that dodged him, grabbing him by the leg. The other soldiers went to attack Jerry, but he controlled the aura to pull him towards the soldier that was holding Kaori's mother, avoiding the attacks.


Armored Soldier: He's a Psychic User?

Jerry: (Access - Warp Weapon System: Mech Spear!)

Suddenly, he summoned a spear and attacked the armored soldier's head, making him lose his grip on Kaori's Mother. Jerry released the aura on the soldiers feet and used it to grab her mid-air.


Jerry: (Now time to brace myself for the fall...but first...Access - Warp Weapon System: Twin Autos!)

He summoned two machine guns and shot at the soldiers who went for the attack. They recoiled a bit, slowing their advance. Then, Jerry landed on the floor, making sure that his aura would slow the fall of Kaori's Mother.


Armored Soldier: Changing target priority to newly discovered Psychic User.

Jerry: Knew that would happen sooner or later...not lamenting though, I would be more than glad to wipe you guys out.

He picked up Kaori's mother and rushed back towards the resisdence, dodging their attacks despite the extra weight he was carrying. With a leap, he managed to enter the house again, then, he set Kaori's mother in the floor and left the house and summoned another spear.


Jerry: Time to properly fight you guys. Come at me!

Spring Zone - Sayaka's House

Rosa: More help! Excellent. (I wonder if the others are having the same luck.)

Sheila: I was worried for a moment there.

???: (You fool...Even if that guy didn't show up, you shouldn't have taken her hostage, we need her alive dammit...What if they actually decided to attack and capture you?)

Sheila: Now then, time to turn the odds even more in our favor.

???: We'll see about that.

Sheila: Okay then. But just so you know...You'll lose no matter what you try. (I need to hold out until I can access those powers again.)

They started trading blows. Sheila was mostly on the defensive, taking some hits while watching how the man moved.


???: Not so smug now that I can hit you.

Sheila: Urgh... (This is nothing compared to what Lady Crimson made me go through.)

Meanwhile, Kenneth was still fighting the armored soldiers.


Kenneth: (This is taking too long...I feel like these soldiers were handpicked for the mere fact that they don't fall so easily.)

Armored Soldier: FIRE!

Kenneth dodged another barrage of shots and with his strenght, he sent one of the soldiers flying.


Kenneth: (I don't want to use my full strenght against these numbers...or else Sheila is going to have some extra work to do.)

Rosa: INCOMING HELP!

Kenneth: (So she was charging something big.)

Kenneth and two soldiers managed to move away from her line of fire. The other two weren't so lucky and got hit by Rosa's energy storm.

Armored Soldiers: AAAAAARGH!!!

Rosa: I'll take care of those two.

Kenneth: Thanks...That's some weight of my back.

Rosa: I should be thanking you for your help.

Kenneth: You should be thanking someone else. That person is responsable for this revolution. I'm just one of its supports. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to reveal that person's name.

Then, they continued their fight against the soldiers. Thanks to Rosa's storm, the armor of the soldiers that were hit by it was heavily damaged.

Kail was doing his best to defeat the Defense-Type Armored Soldiers. No matter how much strenght he put into his strikes, they still got back up.


Kail: Argh...The hell are these things made of?

Armored Soldier: Target is showing signs of fatigue...Continue the assault.

Kail: I'll show you fatigue.

Meanwhile, Veria flew around the battlefied, firing what it looked like blast of darkness made of psychic energy. Victor kept dodging her attacks and firing back with his pistols, but she shielded herself using her psychic aura.


Victor: ...

Veria: I was blessed into being a Septima-Type Psychiccer! If you don't know what means, it means that I'm strong!

Victor: Really now?

Veria: That's right! You'll be amazed at what I can do for sure! Starting with these!!!

Suddenly, two walls that looked like mirrors were summoned near Victor. He jumped over to avoid being crushed, then shot back at Veria, who shielded once more.


Veria: It's impossible! You can't overcome my barrier with just that. I guess this was probably why they assigned Defense-Types to me.

Victor: (But I wonder...how long can she keep that barrier up. It seems that she can't attack while it's up either.)

Veria: Now then, what are you going to do, Ghost of the Kresnik Family?

Victor: Something that is going to surprise you for sure.

Veria: Oh~! That I want to see.

Victor kept firing at Veria, who decided to dodge instead of shielding, firing back dark projectiles at him. The street soon turned into a cross-fire of bullets and energy shots.

Mia: I see. In that case, I'll accompany to wherever you're headed. And for now, I won't indulge into questions.

Mia: There won't be a next time, though. As a knight of the Holy Order, I need to know what's going on.

BGM: Tenmu Meteor ~ Royal Monster still playing

The fight continued with Xaizor having the upper hand. He continued to throw ice spikes, but none of them worked.


???: (No matter what I throw at him, he manages to get through. Who or what is this guy?)

Xaizor: Ready to throw in the white flag or no?

???: Don't mock me...

Xaizor: I'm saying that because it's very clear that you're on your knees. The next hit will surely defeat you, so I'm giving you the chance to run away.

???: Tch... son of a bitch...

Xaizor: Well, it's fine for me either way. No one escapes from me once they're my foe.

Another ice spike rose, but Xaizor managed to evade and close distance once again. They fought for some seconds but the young swordsman gained the upper hand once again.


???: What the hell?!

Xaizor: Take this! Sin Devourer!!

Soon, a dragon mouth rose from the sword and went directly on the foe, biting him. He had lost no sorts of parts from his body, but Xaizor quickly glowed green.

Xaizor: Now you're done for. You should've took the chance when you had one.

He slashed him with his gained speed, managing to not give him a second to counter. After the quick slashes, Xaizor attacked with his elbow on the gut and backed off to end the fight.


Xaizor: I'll send you to the ground! Fulminating Darkness!!

Xaizor created a single dark sphere in his hand and soon splitted it in two parts. He unleased the energy directly into the blue haired assailant as it exploded fiercely. The blue haired young man was sent away by the explosion, falling into the ground near other soldiers and unable to get up.


???: This... can't be... Name... *falls unconscious*

Xaizor: Told ya I would win. Gotta say, for the first fight in this expedition, this was really nice!

Xaizor: With that said, who's next?! I'm far from being done with you scumbags!

A shot could be heard. The bullet went at the neck of one soldier, but he didn't die. Instead, he wasn't able to move his body at all, like if he was shocked or something of the sort. Sitting on the roof, Azrel calmly smiled while holding a rifle.


Azrel: Sorry for intruding, but it seemed like you were in a pinch with those guys. They're kinda sturdy for that axe of yours, right? At least, that seemed to be the case.

Azrel: We can do introductions later. For now, let's just sweep the ground with the black mops. And if I were you, I'd back off and wait for a moment.

He took a grenade out of his pocket and instantly tossed at the middle of the soldiers Kail was fighting. It soon exploded, releasing a blinding light all around them. Azrel's idea was for them to get blind and leave them open for Kail to attack. After all, even machines can have their accuracy reduced. And if they don't get blind, the light could be a good obstacle and opening.

It could be a lovely family reunion, but it wasn't. It was a conference between leaders of distant world. One ruled a distant and separate world, one ruled the congregation of all Netherworlds, one ruled the world of Summon related spirits, one ruled a somewhat peaceful world...

Lumino: This is the only way. With them away, only Xaizor and Marina were left. And it fits with my plan.

Lumino: Those two need to discover the truth about themselves. Their destiny is directly linked with Unitia.

???: The memories you might've stolen?

Lumino: I know he is. I wouldn't steal or seal their memories and give them some sort of falsehood on purpose. Rather, themselves are the responsible for their own memory loss.

???: No living person sets its foot here. This world is a nightmare for the most low of the low throughout all worlds.

???: I can definitely imagine. They're those people who are in black and white, with the eyes glowing...

???: Try not to distract yourself with sightseeing. We don't have much time. If Lumino's prediction is correct, then we're in danger.

They went ahead, through the dark streets. Amidst of it, the walking souls of the condemned ran away as a giant black spider chased them.


???: Those things won't attack us, will they?

???: We're living beings. They won't attack us. They chase and torture those souls, bound to return after every single death, without a chance to resurrect or reincarnate.

???: At least that won't let them repeat their same deeds when they were alive.

???: All I need is a distraction...and then, she'll be within my grasp in two minutes.

Asagi was dodging projectiles and shooting back at Renani, who had to actually dodge this time since he wasted a huge amount of mana energy on his Golden Erasure. The others were watching the fight from a safe distance.


Bell: He seems more focused this time around.

Fear: Calling it right now: He's probably one of those tough guys that freaks out when they know they are about to lose. I bet a 100 bucks that he'll plead for mercy once the Gunslinger Girl wins.

Bell: You that will happen?

Haken: I'm sure about that as well. If he wasn't that desperate to defeat us, he wouldn't have summoned his gold.

Hyde: Still...What the hell is he? And what's with the point ears? Is he some kind of elf?

Fear: I overhead that girl saying he's a demon...

Hyde: Demon? As in those creatures from hell?

Bell: That shouldn't be that unplausible at this point.

Asagi: Cameo Star!!!

Asagi pulls out a wrecking ball out of nowhere and starts spinning it over her head at great speeds, creating some sort of hurricane that caught Renani and threw him upwards, then, she switched back to her guns and started shotting him. He fired his mana spheres once more in order to destroy the bullets.


Asagi: (I could just tire him out, but it's dangerous to stay here for too long...those monsters might appear again.)

Renani: I'LL CRUSH YOU!!!

She jumped away before he landed on her position with a powerful punch, scattering pieces of the asphalt everywhere. Asagi pulled a bazooka and fired upon the debris that flew in her direction, reducing it to dust.


Renani: What's wrong? I thought you said you were going to stop me? Seems like that bravado is gone after you saw what I'm capable of.

Asagi: ...

Renani: C'mon! Say something you worthless worm! You're already lower that dirt! There's no way a complete nobody is going to defeat the likes of me.

Asagi: Complete nobody huh? Well, that might as well be true.

Renani: Huh?

Asagi: Alright then, I've thought of a nice way to finish you off.

Renani: Why you...

Asagi: Ha!!!

Asagi jumped high on the air, then suddenly stopped, as if she were flying. Then, she quickly supercharged her guns with mana and shot two bullets at Renani, who couldn't react in time due to their blinding speeds. Renani was engulfed in an explosion of energy.


Renani: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Hyde: Great! She finally got a hit in.

Haken: And with a quite a bang at that.

Renani: Uuuuurgh...

Hyde: He can still stand? No wonder you guys were having trouble. Maybe I'll...

Fear: Hold your horses kid...It's time for the moment of truth.

Asagi: Alright then...do you still insist of enslaving this planet or...

Haken: The so called Tyrant has a boss huh?

Renani: I've lied about the whole Tyrant thing...I'm just a demon lord known for coloring his black hole with yellow.

Asagi: That's still fairly strong.

Fear: (Gunslinger Girl seems to know a lot about demons...Is she really from here?)

Haken: (Guess the whole thing about being tired wasn't a lie since he said that he had a fierce fight before coming here.)

Asagi: In that case, It will be safer if I just keep the coin.

Bell: You're right. With that settled...Then let's leave this place...We're not really in a condition to fight any more of these monsters for today.

"That voice...I'm sure it's the same one from one year ago. Why am I hearing it again all of a sudden after so long? Why I couldn't talk to her before? I wanted to express my gratitude for saving my life...Thanking her for giving me this extraordinary power. Please, if you can hear me through my thoughts...then I want you to know that I'm eternally grateful for your help...and that I'll keep using your great gift in order to get back at those bastards that ruined by life..."

Sheila: (Starting with this guy! I wish for time to obey my will!)

Then, the world suddenly slowed down around Sheila, the momentum of the punch made her hit a wall instead of being crushed in it by the aura punch. Then, she pulled out another knife and ran at the man, slashing his limbs in order to incapacitate him. Then, time went back to normal and all of a sudden, the man fell on the ground in pain.

A familiar sensation

All of a sudden, the time sisters and their master noticed something strange had ocurred for a few seconds.


Zeena: Whoa! Okay what? The heck? What was that?

Amilia: This sensation...don't tell me...

Isana: Was time...manipulated? But it can't be...It didn't seem like Zeena or Amilia were the ones that did it...Who did this?

Amandra: This is interesting...That same sensation from an year ago. And just like before, I still can't tell who's the one doing it...Whoever you are...You won't get away from using the power that belongs to my forces.

???: AAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

Sheila: I told you that you would lose no matter what you've tried.

???: Urgh...W-What was that?

Sheila: Now you better stay put...

???: Like hell I will!!!

Music: close call

Suddenly, Sheila got blown away by the sudden expansion of his psychic aura. His body started to rise on the air.


Rosa: Eh? What is he doing?

Kenneth: Well now...

Sheila: Ow...Okay, now it's my turn to ask what happened?

The concentrated amount of psychic aura was visible even to normals now. It took a shape of a bigger human body, with the man floating inside of it, acting like its heart. Sheila tried attacking it, but the knife wasn't able to pierce the aura. As a result, she got hit by a slap and flung away.


Sheila: Argh!!! (Well, I knew he would use something that would let him move...but I wasn't expecting this.)

???: To think I had to use this...You're not half bad for a street rabbit...Too bad I'll bleed out if I fight with these wounds, so we'll have to retreat for now.

Armored Soldier: Understood! Abandoning Mission!

The Psychic Aura Giant jumped towards the van with a single leap and waited the soldiers to follow suit. Then, they entered the vans and started fleeing the scene. Suddenly, a different voice started speaking in Sheila's communicator.


???: Quick, throw the ring I gave you.

Sheila: Okay! Hey Kenneth, catch this and throw at one of their vans.

Kenneth: Alright!

She pulled out some sort of metallic ring the size of her hand and tossed it at Kenneth, who then threw it towards one of the vans as they were leaving, sticking to the vehicle like a magnet.

**Music stops**


Rosa: Whew...they're finally gone. They really did bring a strong arsenal this time around. I guess the reason why they hired a weak gang for the initial attacks was so that their psychic user saw how I moved and planned around that.

Kenneth: But then...some unexpected help arrived and turned the tables on them.

Rosa: Yeah! Thank you very much. I'm Rosa Mikazuki.

Kenneth: My name is Kenneth Bryan. Pleased to meet you.

Sheila: I'm Sheila Runn. You know, that girl that plays the guitar everyday at Summer Park.

Rosa: Oh, I think I've seen you before during a patrol.

Sheila: Really? Did you enjoy the show?

Rosa: It wasn't that special, but I guess it's good enough for other people.

Sheila: You're right.

Rosa: (Whoa, I was about ready to apologize for being so blunt, but she didn't seem to mind my opinion...)

Kenneth: (That's right, I didn't listen to her music yet.)

Sheila: Well, we wouldn't be able to do this without our third mysterious helper. (I wonder if Lady Crimson sent him here.)

Spring Zone - Lilina's House

Kail: Huh?

Due to Azrel's sudden appearance, Kail's view was directed towards the roof, making sure that the light grenade wouldn't blind him when it exploded.


Armored Soldier: A flashbang huh? You should've paid attention to what we are wearing right now. We are equipped with advanced weaponry that can surpass the current military grade technology.

Kail: Also...we just met...how the hell am I'm supposed know what kind of grenades you're going to use? That could've blinded me too man. We needed to plan this beforehand...But anyway, another helper won't hurt I guess...

Armored Soldier: Resistance is futile...Give up right now before you succumb to your own fatigue.

Kail: Sorry...But I don't try to act tough...I AM tough, and I'll make sure of know that!

Kail then, turned his attention to the Armored Soldier that was paralyzed. That gave Kail an idea.


Kail: I see...so you guys do have a weakness. These so called Defense-Types came here because they saw how I fought earlier...Which means you knew I wouldn't be able to hurt you guys even with my strenght...

Then, he hit the paralyzed soldier with great strenght, sending him flying towards the electricity cables. While the Armor did possess a good degree of electric resistance, his life was still at risk. He turned off the armor in order to free himself from the current, falling on the ground as result.

Soldier: Urgh...

Kail: Alright, I'll be taking this.

Kail snatched the Compact Glaive Device from the soldier's hands without much effort.


Armored Soldier: Enemy had figured a way to bypass our armor...It's too dangerous to stay any longer. Requesting orders to retreat.

Veria's Battle

**The Man in the Dark still plays again**


Veria: Hahahaha! It's futile, nothing that you will reach me!

Victor: You seem very confident in your powers.

Veria: Not wanting to brag but...

Victor: Let's how you react when the unexpected happens. Squall Shot!

Victor fired one bullet to the air, then, it suddenly descended as a rain of bullets that Veria had to raise a shield to block. Then, he continued firing at her.


Veria: Urgh...

Victor: I see...so regardless of the damage, you can't keep that shield up for long.

Veria: (Uh oh...)

Victor: It's over!

Once the rain of bullets was over, Veria disabled the shield and focused on just dodging the attacks. Victor then, fired small hurricanes in order to reduce the space in which she could move.


Veria: Even if you've figured out a way to defeat my shield...it's still useless!

Victor: Requiem!

Victor jumped in the air and fired bullets that caused small shockwaves when they hit the ground, Veria didn't expect such effect on his bullets and ended up being hit.


Veria: hehehehe...this ain't good...

Victor: Finally got you.

He took this opportunity to use another Ritual of Destruction, this time, damaging Veria enough to incapacitate her for the time being. She mentally apologized to her superiors as her conciousness faded.

When the soldiers noticed, Veria had already been defeated by Victor.


Victor: ...

Armored Soldier: Commander down! Retreat! Retreat!!!

Location: Spring Zone - Sayaka's House

Seeing how the fight ended, Xaizor put his sword back in the scabbard. As he smiled at the results, Sayaka went outside once again to see how the four of them were.


Sayaka: Are you all OK?

Xaizor: Sayaka! And nevermind us, what about you?!

Sayaka: I can say that I'm safe once again. This time for sure.

Xaizor: *sigh* That's what I want to hear.

Sayaka: I'm sorry... this is all because of me...

Xaizor: We're not blaming you. Besides, what matters is that we managed to win and keep you safe.

Sayaka: ...

Sayaka fell in silence for a while as she considered all possibilites. She started to worry about why she was being targeted. At the same time she wanted to know, she didn't want to. Seeing as how she may need some time by herself, Xaizor decided to head back.


Xaizor: Well, I guess that's that. Better if I head back home.

Sayaka: You're going already? Can't you stay for tea?

Xaizor: I don't think I should...

Sayaka: Please, I insist. The four of you, come in. I'll prepare coffee and tea for you.

Xaizor: I-If you insist that much, I'll stay a little more.

Sayaka: OK! I'll head to the kitchen!

Throwing away her worries for the moment, Sayaka went back inside. Xaizor gave his head a little shake and walked to the others and decided to introduce himself.


Xaizor: Sorry if I came a little late. Had some troubles back at home before I could get here.

Xaizor: The name's Xaizor Arcadia. I'm Sayaka's friend from school.

Location: Spring Zone - Lilina's House


Azrel: Well, that was fast. At least, I know now what I shouldn't use to hit them in the next time. Anyhow, sorry for the almost blinding you scenario. Wasn't on purpose, that much I assure you.

Azrel: But to think they're resistant to a magic-augmented weapon. That's news for me. Usually technology isn't able to do that stuff, right?

Before he could jump into introductions, Azrel spoke about Lilina. He wasn't minding if he somewhat sounded suspicious. Dangers lie this are things that excite him whenever dealing with people.


Azrel: If we're done here, shouldn't you go check the girl? I mean, it's not any of my business, but maybe it'd be nice.

Location: Spring Zone - Streets


Mia: (An attack here on the Spring Zone... this bodes ill. Once I deliver them, I shall head back to the base and inform Sir Krantz of the whole story.)

Mia quickly followed Kaori and Andorina from the behind. She had to be ready for anything that could happen.

Pairah: Urgh...Where is this damn monster? We've been walking this hellhole for a while now...

Miolina: Hmmm...

Pairah: Damn...I'm reaching my limit...

Miolina: Don't die on me now Pairah, we're so close.

Pairah: What part of this is close to you?

Miolina: I think I've finally managed to lure one with my scent. Voids really love the smell EXS you see.

Suddenly, Miolina produces a black sphere and gives it to Pairah.


Pairah: What am I doing with this?

Miolina: Just hold that for me, I'll go hide over there.

Pairah: Hide? Hey, are you planning to leave me here?

Miolina: Pah!

Miolina claps her hands, making the sphere disperse into a mist that blinded Pairah.


Pairah: Wait! Don't run!

Pairah forced herself to stand, the mist expanding further an further, making it look like the light as being taken over by the darkness. The girl looked at every direction, feeling like she was in a completely different place. The buildings weren't visible anymore, the sky was slowly getting darker.


Pairah: W-What the hell did you do?

Miolina: Me? Nothing much...It's just that the Voids are attracted to EXS...and they can only manifest themselves when there's a large amount of it around.

Pairah: And...what happens after that?

Miolina: Hehehehehe...

Pairah: T-This isn't funny...say something already?

Miolina: And there he is! Have fun with your new friend!

Suddenly, a creature materialized in front of Pairah. A bipedal Void monster that was taller than Pairah. Her emotions were a mix of anger and worry. She didn't knew what to do and Miolina just let out some ocasional laughs at the creature approached.


Miolina: (Now then...will you perish and turn into a Void? Or will you survive and turn into an In-Birth?)

Pairah: D-Don't come...I'm warning you damn freak of nature.

Void: ...

Pairah: GET AWAY!!!

Even if her body screamed in protest, Pairah put all of her strenght in a punch that didn't seem like it fazed the void much. Then, it violently picked her up and slammed her in the ground.


Pairah: AAAHHH!!!

Void: SHAAAAAAA!!!

The creatured opened its mouth and bit her torso. Not only she was in intense pain, but her vision went into a complete blurr and her sense of proprioception was gone. Pairah felt that if it wanted, the monster would've just had split her body apart. What it wanted was the EXS inside of her. She did feel something escaping her body within each seconds. However, she was also feeling something inside of her changing. But none of that mattered to Pairah. All that was on her mind right now was anger towards Miolina.


Pairah: (That...wench...She kept babling something about power...but all I'm getting was a monster making me his meal...I won't accept this...I can't accept this...once I'm out of this situation...I'll...)

Music: The Lord of a Flame


Pairah: I'LL FREAKING KILL THAT PIG FOR MAKING A FOOL OUT OF ME!!!

Miolina: Oh?

Suddenly, the monster backed away in recoil. One could see smoke coming out of its mouth, as if something burned it. Pairah slowly got up, once again, ignoring the pain in her body. She could feel an extreme heat from inside of her, but didn't seem bothered by it, as if said heat was one with her entire being, a part of her existence.


Pairah: I see...So this is it...The power she talked about.

Miolina: Such intense heat. Those flames could just instantly incinerate anyone she glared at.

Void: SHAAAAAAA!!!

Pairah: You want some of this? Then EAT IT YOU FREAK!!!

Since she still didn't knew how to properly control her powers, Pairah punched the air, hoping something would come out of her hand. The Void did flinch a bit after she did so, but it kept running at her.


Pairah: Tch...

Miolina: Alright, time for some coaching.

Miolina got between Pairah and the Void, kicking the monster away with a EXS charged strike.


Miolina: Now you an I are the same.

Pairah: Why didn't you tell me this would've happened if the damn thing almost ate me?

Miolina: It's more exciting this way...Besides, it was your anger towards me that generated enough willpower to resist being turned into a void.

Pairah: Huh?

Miolina: I'll promise that I'll tell you everything in detail later...even if you don't exactly get all of it. Now then...for that coaching.

The monster got up again, heading straight towards Miolina and Pairah.


Miolina: Just imagine a fireball and direct those thoughts towards the space you want it to appear. You know the rest.

Pairah: Really? It's just that?

Miolina: This is a really simplified method for faster results. Mastering EXS isn't exactly "just that". Now then...the stage is all yours.

Pairah: Alright...

Miolina walked behind Pairah, wanting to see the newborn In-Birth up close. Pairah glared at the creature, imagining the fireball in her hand. I almost an instant, she could see if forming in her hand, albeit a little unstable, but she was okay with it for now.


Pairah: This time...you're going down.

Once it jumped towards her, she launched a fireball towards the creature. It was a clean hit, the creature fell into the ground, flames covering its upper body. It kept struggling to get up.


Pairah: HUFF...HUFF...

Miolina: Great! You were fantastic! That was a certainly great display of spirit. I think I'm going to tear up with such magnificense...

Pairah: Shut up...

Miolina: Well now...it's time to end the show. It doesn't look like you'll be able to conjure another one of those, it would be too much unstable to even travel a single meter.

Music: Memories of the Abyss

Miolina dispelled the mist. Pairah saw the Void Monster fade away. The afternoon sunlight bathed the place they were once more. Suddenly, Pairah felt her body numb, falling on the ground, this time, her conscience slowly fading away.


Pairah: Gah...

Miolina: Don't worry, that's normal. Usually, you were supposed only to faint after you got bitten by a void, but I trusted that you would get the job done.

Pairah: ...

Miolina: Well now...She didn't actually tell me where her home was...oh well, I'll take her to mine for today.

She easily picked up the sleeping Pairah off the ground and jumped from building to building, heading towards the exit.


Miolina: Let's see...You possess the wrath of a ferocious beast after its prey...Maybe we should call your ability "EXS of the Rogue Feral Inferno". Yeah, I guess that's a good name for your power. The girl who wanted to reach the top...denied of her glory by a single failure, now being in possession of the power that will make her desires true.

Pairah: (Now...no one...can stop me...not my former boss...Not the Holy Hammer...NO ONE!!! I can hardly wait to crush them all...)

Spring Zone - Sayaka's Home


Sheila: Hi Xaizor! You were really a hero back there.

Rosa: Hehe...that he was.

Kenneth: A splendid performance indeed.

Sheila: Rosa, can we leave the rest to you?

Rosa: Sure, but why are you asking me this?

Sheila: I would love to stay longer but...

Rosa: Hm? What's with this smell?

Sheila: (Took a while for someone to notice my stench.) We have to go. Maybe another time. You can give Sayaka Kenneth's phone number if she want to call us again...right Kenneth?

Kenneth: Phone?

Kenneth: Oh Sure, she can have it. (Almost forgot what this phone was...Still not used to the luxuries of this world.)

Sheila leaves first, Kenneth shares the number with Rosa, then leaves soon after, but not after bowing to Rosa and Xaizor.

Spring Zone - Lilina's House


Kail: You're right...she's probably scared shitless with what has been happening. Let's go inside.

Victor: Then I'll leave it to you.

Kail: Wait.

Victor: Hm?

Kail: Thanks for helping Kresnik. That's your name right? I overheard that girl saying your name.

Victor: Just call me Victor. I don't want to be associated with them anymore.

Kail: Hm?

Victor: (He doesn't seem to know what I'm talking about...we'll, I guess his friends will tell him.) Until another day.

Victor walks away. Kail nods and then, enters Lilina's house, but not before telling the officers to tie Veria up.

Spring Zone - In a rooftop somewhere in the city

Daniella was carrying two cups, one of coffee, and another one of tea. She also had a book under her arm, a different one than what she was reading earlier. She handed the cup of coffee to the other person who was in the rooftop. Said person was looking at a laptop.


Daniella: Alright Miss Orston...Here's your coffee...Did I miss something while I was out?

Vinny: Just call me Vinny already...No need to be so formal...And yes, She used her "Time Slow". Twice in fact.

Daniella: That means I missed the entire fight...

Vinny: No matter how many times I look at it. It really doesn't seem like an ability of this world. At least, not right now...what with all of these new powers showing up?

Daniella: You're right. Humanity is ever evolving. Makes me wonder what will become of this world after you and I are long gone.

Vinny: Who knows? Anyway, Kaori is outside her home...that might be a problem.

Daniella: Want me to go there? I could raise some hell if you want.

Vinny: I don't think that's my decision...It's up to you to.

Daniella: Okay, I'll just keep on reading then.

Vinny: Still not feeling like it's your time yet?

Then, Vinny saw some kind of camera mounted on metallic spider legs displayed in the computer.


Vinny: Ooookay...What is that and can I take it home with me? I want to examine it further.

Daniella: Keep your inner mad inventor in check Miss Orston...

Vinny: IT'S VINNY!!!

Daniella: Right...Now as I was saying, keep your urges in check and tell me what do you think of that camera.

Vinny: Okay...It seems like it's monitoring them...Maybe that's how they assigned different psychic users to different places. They were certainly prepared for the moment that one of their targets decided to leave their homes.

Daniella: That's certainly a problem...

Vinny: NO NEED TO WORRY THOUGH! Mia won't let us down.

Suddenly, more people armed with home-made weapons appeared, showing their intent to get in the way of the three.

Leader-like Thug: THERE THEY ARE!!!

Andorina: Uh oh...Incoming...

Kaori: G-Get behind me Andorina...I...I won't let them get any closer.

Andorina hid behind Kaori, who pointed the gun at the group at the front. There was also a group attacking from the rear as well.


Kaori: (I just need to aim at their feet...)

At first, her hands were shaking due to being afraid of pulling the trigger. However, she quickly got used to her intuition guiding her aim and soon enough, she fired a shot, hitting one of the legs of the thugs.


Andorina: You did it!

Kaori: Oh? Really?

Andorina: Yeah! It was a nice shot.

Kaori: R-Right... (I'm not sure how to react to this...)

Andorina: Apologize to them later, just keep firing.

Kaori: (You say "just" but I'm still really nervours...I'm holding a weapon that can kill someone if I'm not careful...)

Xaizor: Hmm? Guess they left someone behind.

As he pointed at the ground, the young man he defeated was left behind.


Xaizor: I dunno what to do with him, so I'm leaving that to you. I'll head inside to see how's Sayaka doing.

Location: Spring Zone - Lilina's House

The three came out of the basement so they could check out how things were for a moment.


Drake: Seems like it's over here. We can come out now.

Lilina: Thank goodness. I wonder if everyone's OK.

Masaru: I hear footsteps. Is it a soldier?

As they went upstairs, Kail came on their sight of vision. Lilina finally looked relieved.


Lilina: Kail! You're alright! I was worried!

Drake: Told you it'd be fine.

Lilina: Yes... even so, it's a relief to see that he's safe.

Masaru: Yeah. I guess we should talk about it now and see what we can do.

Drake: You guys want me to leave?

Masaru: I don't think there's a problem, as long as it doesn't get out of here.

Lilina also gave her approval for Drake to know about the situation. From the outside, Azrel saw her and remembered about the first "meddling" Fortuno asked.


Azrel: (So that's Lilina... alright, I just need to wait for the right moment.)

Location: Spring Zone - Streets

Thug: You're mine, pinkie!

BGM: Condemnation Wings


Mia: Activate Aegis!!

In the moment the thug tried to attack Mia, she defended it with a blue disc attached to her pulse. The disc soon grew into an oversized shield, even larger than its user. The growth surprised the assailant.


Mia: Back off and retreat! This is my last warning, as a knight of the Holy Order!
Thug: W-Whatcha talkin' about?!
Mia: I've warned you...!

She threw the thug off balance with a swing and barged him with her Aegis. He flew away and was sent into a pole.


Mia: No harm shall come to civilians! That is my duty as knight of the Holy Order! Now, retreat at once!!
