Midoriya placed down his spoon on the empty bowl in front of him. He had finished his bowl of ice cream, taking spoonfuls every timing he could. He stared at the now empty bowl, and up at Nensu. What started out as an awkward date, so far, has turned out into a talk about their quirks, how they could develop, and pretty much anything but romantic talk. But it wasn't so bad for the boy himself. He finally got to talk with her while stuttering less. And they got to actually talk for so long out of school, in a relaxing mood. No Bakugou to be angry to the bones at Midoriya, no strict Aizawa. Just for the two of them.
"So.... it's been really nice so far."
He said.
"Maybe.. we could go for some more walk after we're finished?"

They sat there in complete silence for a little while, until both of them have finished their bowels. Nensu continued to look out the window, not realizing that Midoriya was looking at her and thinking. She did have to admit that he was cute, but only told that to herself, mentally. She moved a piece of hair out of her face, shortly before she heard his suggestion. It made Nensu think for a moment, before turning back to him. “I heard that there’s a street fair this afternoon, somewhere in the city; in honor of the Pros. I think it only happens once a year”, she smiled.

That was when Midoriya's eyes sparkled. A street fair for the professional heroes in the city? This was one of the things he could not afford to miss. If they were lucky enough they could get a glimpse of a high ranked hero in person, probably for the promotion of the street fair or themselves. After Nensu made the suggestion the boy could hardly mask his excitement as it oozed out of every part of him. He wanted to meet more pro heroes. He already analyzed countless, but he wanted more. Perhaps a habit he gained from near paranoid level information gathering-but he liked to memo new related facts to notebooks if he discovered them.
"We should totally check it out!"
He said, almost recoiling out of his seat. He stopped himself from doing so with his both hands flat on the table.

Nensu watched the boy's reaction to her suggestion. It made her wonder whether if the mention of the Pros have made Midoriya either more alert, or more excited. Maybe he was one of those admirers who've looked up to the Pros? One of their fans? There are always possibilities. The red-and-white haired girl giggled in amusement at his excitement, although his attempt to fall out the chair didn't go unnoticed. In hopes of stopping his fall, she quickly laid her hands on top of his own, rather unintentionally, and nearly forgetting that too much contact would be beyond Midoriya's comfort, evident from earlier. With that thought, she quickly retracted her hands away from him.

"Sorry", Nensu said softly, slightly blushing, before standing up from her seat, and taking out some cash to leave for the clerk.
"Well, what are we waiting for?", she asked him with a smile.

Midoriya held himself from blushing all over again and falling to the floor like an idiot. He managed to hold it down and balance himself. Whoever was to appear at the fair, it was going to be an awesome time. Pulling out some cash himself, he gave her one excited nod.
“Yes!”
———
Soon they were back in the steets, following the slowly gathering crowd who were watching as the fair was slowly being prepared to begin. Mobile shops were being set across the street, and there were posters of various pro heroes being displayed. Midoriya was busy looking at all the things being set up instead of concentrating on Nensu. There were hardly chances to see this much hero-related goods gathered. And, most importantly, he saw a handful of heroes gathered up in an opening where a stage was being gathered, talking to who seemed like one of the staff for the fair. ‘I can’t believe I’m here right now.’ He thought.

As soon as they got to the streets, Midoriya wouldn’t be the only one looking around. Booths, balloons, posters, and everything else that screamed ‘Hero’ seemed to be covering both sides of the street. Nensu spotted the stage up ahead, and a couple of Pros standing in front of it. Mount Lady and a few other familiar faces that were greatly popular today. These were the people who saved them from villainous invasions, and had done quite enough to keep their city, safe and sound.

“This is amazing!”, Nensu was at awe of the sighting and sceneries. Taking out her phone out of her pocket, the girl took a photo of a poster that showed All-Might, before pausing after having to spot another that showed Endeavor.

Midoriya soon followed Nensu's sight, looking at the All Might poster and moving on to the Endeavor one. Apparently it was just a display of the high rank heroes-which wasn't the best sight for her in this case. Midoriya turned his gaze to Nensu. He slowly reached for her shoulder and turned her away.
"...come on, let's go check out something else."
He told her. He didn't want her to stay down in all this joyful event.

Nensu was staring at the poster that showed Endeavor, and memories began to show up in her mind; flashbacks of her and Shoto’s past abuse, even up to the point where her father accidentally burned her left eye. The flashing stopped as soon as she felt contact on her shoulder, having to notice Midoriya nearby, who attempted to steer her away from the viewing point of the poser. Nodding at his suggestion, the red-and-white haired girl found herself staring into space, as they walked away. ‘Guess some psychological scars aren’t meant to disappear forever.

His heart heacvy about what happened a few moments ago, Midoriya was concentratin on dragging Nensu away from the poster. He unconsciously lead her with his hand on her wrist, passing a few shops until he came to a halt. The boy took a deep breath and turned around to face the girl.
"So, what do you w-"
Midoriya was cut short by a stranger bumping into him by the shoulder. A rather long object wrapped in newspaper fell from his pocket. The man stopped a few steps after, and slowly turned to peek at the boy over his shoulder with his bloodshot eyes. He blinked a few times while keeping eye contact and turned away, completely unaware he dropped one of his possessions.

Nensu felt herself phasing now back into reality, once she felt her wrist being taken by a hand. Her vision coming back into focus, she saw a blurry figure before her. It felt as if she was waking up from a dream, and yet, it still lingered within her conscience. However, his voice seemed to be clearing up, and she managed to see the familiar green-haired teenager, who seemed to have dragged her a little farther from the poster, away from her line of sight.

“Huh?”, Nensu asked, a little confused, but managed to understand his intention of doing such a thing. Spotting something to fall, and a glimpse of someone with red eyes, the girl leaned down to pick up the item.

When Nensu picked the object up, a large portion of the newspaper wrapping it fell off, like a wrapper. Or rather a sheathe. As the part of the paper was separated, a sharp blade of a dagger was revealed. Whatever was the purpose of the man, it apparently involved blades, and possibly casualties. And he did not like his plan being busted. He lunged towards Nensu, his hand stretched out for her face.
"WATCH OUT!"
Midoriya yelled, crashing into Nensu to push her out of the way.

Nensu’s eyes widened, as soon as the newspaper fell, and a dagger seemed to have been revealed. She didn’t know who would use such a trinket, but the fact that it was in the middle of a public area, it didn’t sit well for her. Before she could do anything, Midoriya suddenly shouted and pushed her out of the way of something that seemed to have been coming in their direction. It wasn’t a harsh push, as if to cause harm, but a rather reassuring and determined one that held the intention of getting her out of harm’s way.

With a gasp, and a bit of time to recover from what happened, Nensu looked up to find the same individual with red eyes from earlier. Who is he? What did he want?

"Ah, you nasty pricks."
The man said. His hand missed, only touching Midoriya slightly by his hair. He retreated his hand and stared at the dagger and then at Nensu. He sniffed and cracked his neck, his eyes still glaring at her.
"You might want to drop that and walk away. You've caused enough mess."
He said.

"H...how can we be sure?"
Midoriya said. The man let out an annoyed sigh and turned to the green haired boy, who flinched at eye contact. The eyes were far from normal- it felt like something similar to the one he saw in the man with hands attached back at USJ. Something like a villain's.
"You're in the middle of a fair for pro heroes, you know."
"Yeah. I know."

Nensu stood next to Midoriya, as they went face to face with someone who appeared to be far from chivalrous. There was a negative vibe coming from this individual and, by the sound of the newcomer, he would not hesitate to act out on his word, whether bad or good. Her guts were telling her that they were bad. On instinct, the red-and-white haired girl gave her friend the dagger, and stood in front of him, ready to take action, if the villain before he attempts to anything to threaten the lives of those present, meaning everybody around them.
“You’ll have to go through me first”, she bravely said to the mystery before them. Cold breath escaped her lips, as the temperature on her right arm began to decrease.

Midoriya almost fumbled and dropped the dagger when Nensu handed it to him. He never got close enough to something so dangerously sharp so far. Clutching the weapon away from the villain, Midoriya reached for his phone with his other hand. If he called the police things would be done a lot faster- if the villain had a much more physically threatening quirk he would've shown it already. Most did.
"Playing smart, huh?"
The man pulled out a utility knife and placed his fingertip on the blade, standing still on the spot.

Nensu stood in front of Midoriya, ready to go toe-to-toe with the presumeed-villain before he might do anything that could jeopardize the lives of many. Whatever this individual’s intentions were, she honestly didn’t want to find out, but rather tell him to leave, or stall for the Pros to sort out the situation. Maybe just long enough before he could ever use his quirk, if he had one. The only option she could think of, would be to stall.
She stopped charging her right side, before any frost could form upon her being. The object he just revealed didn’t go unnoticed. “Who are you?”, Nensu spoke to the mystery character. His eyes were the first thing that made her remember...the villain back at the USJ who used a rather painful quirk upon her! She didn’t want to ask who he was again.

"Me? Oh, me."
The man tilted his head and turned around, looking at any bystanders that were watching the situation. There was a handful of witnesses, only hesitating to call the police as they knew he'd go for them if they tried to do at any timing. Midoriya slowly dialed the police, looking for the timing to press call, and talk about the situation... as long as nobody would be hurt by this madman in the process. He was hesitant. He remembered how he jumped for Bakugou back before he entered UA, but that was a whole different story. There was no All Might to save them, as far as he knew. There were pro heroes nearby, but he doubted anyone could call them silently. Just when the boy was about to hit call, he saw a red, glowing blade flying towards Nensu.
"None of your business."
The man said, his eyes centimeters away from the girl.

The freezing temperature on her right side has been charged properly, while she continued her stare down with the individual. Nensu stayed calm, although her guard was up, if something were, either to interrupt it, or if male attempted to use combat. Under the city's authority, they weren't allowed to kill a villain without a license (if that's even right; I wasn't sure), but to defend themselves, if needed; that was her intention, anyway, in this scenario. She just couldn't strike first, since it was best to play safe, due to the civilians around them, as well as avoid reckless action. Both herself and Midoriya didn't even know what cards he was capable of playing, so caution was needed. Slightly turning her head to see the green-haired boy behind her, with a cell phone in his hand, Nensu figured that he was trying to call for help. Good. Perhaps she could give him some time, and keep the villain's eyes on her, until help comes.

However, just as she turned her head to face the man again, an object went flying past her face, creating a graze upon her left cheek, and slicing a lock of her red hair; the piece falling to the ground. She gasped at the sudden action, just as she found herself face-to-face with her assailant, who was only centimeters away from her face, causing her to tremble. Not out of fear, but from...something else.
'No, not now. Not again', she thought to herself. 'He hurt you, little lamb. Like how every one of them does. Like how he does', she meant the Endeavor, which only awakened even more memories. They came in through flashes, to the point of an ache in her head, leading her to whimper.

The villain played with Nensu’s hair with the knife that cut her chin, its blade cooling down to its normal metal hue from a short moment of bright orange glow. A sinister scowl surfaced on his face as he heard her whimper, totally unaware of her condition. He pulled back, slicing another small lock of her hair in the way.
“You can’t even use your quirk. You can’t until the last moment because you’re such a good citizen. Me, I’m different.”
He drew the knife closer to Nensu’s neck as he spotted Midoriya trying to move, and gave him a good glare. For now it seemed like the villain had the upper hand- he had a hostage up close with a weapon near her neck. He didn’t yet show his purpose, but it was a hard situation the two were stuck in.

Nensu shuddered at the unwanted attention that this individual was giving her. He was cutting pieces of her hair off, and it was only infuriating her “other half”, on the inside. Looking at Midoriya behind her, the girl wondered whether if she should bend her promise, and just give in, or restrain herself from creating further damage. Her head was starting to pulse, and it was really starting to become painful, causing a tear to fall down her face. “I...I...”, she whispered; not to anyone in particular, but it was really starting to hurt from the inside.

I won’t let you!!”, she snarled, as her left side started to heat up, and fire began to crackle. One couldn’t tell of how she was talking to, whether to “Loma” or the villain.
