@Zero HexSo I have been brainstorming about this. If you decide to go this route, just call the race a Namekian so that the Namekian rules apply. He won't be a mutant or anything like that. I will be curious about his origin story though.

Naw mate I meant these guys, y'know like Tambourine, technically the first Namekian of a sort to show up on screen and all. I was just asking because they might be interesting to have around. They'd still be Namekians but they'd add more variety to the race if players want it, and besides throwbacks to the original Dragon Ball are pretty cool and it potentially gives you something extra for the setting given their particular origin.

As for me I'll probably make a human martial artist and focus on a more down to earth portrayal of his fighting skills, rather more based on real life practices and styles compared to the usual DBZ fare.

@Zero HexThe only issue is they were birthed by King Piccolo and this isn't going according to canon. I'm not going to be allowing players to have PC Villains. However, there will be instances where they will make NPC villains for themselves in PVE events. We'll see where the story goes though. While I will be GM-guiding it, character stories may influence the direction the game goes at times. Say, if a player character needs to find "x" or they have unfinished business with "y" and need to go journey to confront them. A good interaction between writers will be moving this story overall, and it'll all start with this tournament.

I'm hoping for this game to move like that. One of my favorite DB RPs moved like that. Where we all just moved the story together and kept everything in-game. The "go with the flow" type of stories I feel are the best.

@CommanderCoolNo different. Magic users are bound to the same mechanic as every other race mentioned in this game.

@clanjosYou can reference the approved CSes that are in this interest check. So far all the ones submitted are approved. One of them is a dino beastman.

@CommanderCoolYou can write a section called "extra." The CS is just a general template of what you need to have mandatory in there. You are free to add extra information and design it how you like.

@Weird TalesI always use this when I can't make a decision. It makes the decision for you. decidermachine.com/?Choices[]=1&Choic… I use it in my other games too to decide who will be the leader of a mission lol.

It's casting spells. No technology is involved. Basically it is like d&d's use of lovecraft's mythology

Basically these elderitch entities would be more inter-dimensional demons than aliens like in lovecraft's work

Well that's not really Lovecraftian at all then! Crazy super science "wizard" could be pretty fun too.

@Holy Soldier
Alright, let me know what you think.

Actually it is. Cthulhu entities are beyond what humans can comprehend, which means they aren't just aliens, they're more than that. You could call them gods, demons, aberrations or aliens or inter-dimensional entities.

They're aliens with incredibly advanced tech, the later stories make that clear.
