Belle Reve - Supervillain Prison Break

Hi, Thanks for clicking.

My base idea is as follows:
3-4 players, each incarcerated for various crimes, are hanging out in solitary confinement. As 5pm strikes on the clock, they find that in addition to their "luxurious" evening meal is a note with a location and time written on it.
Now, any self respecting villain knows this means one thing. BREAKOUT.

I'm undecided as of yet whether to use Belle Reve Penitentiary from the DC universe, or a location of my own design. If it's the former, feel free to choose existing characters or OC but the latter means strictly original characters.
Feel free to voice your opinion!

If possible, I would like to have at least one of each archetype playing. i.e. An Assassin, A Genius and a Big Guy. But outside of that go wild, just keep in mind that these prison walls were deemed suitable to hold you. So no God Incarnates, please.

A prison break rp? I haven't done a prison themed type rp in some time, but I'm certainly interested.

Are we limited to DC? If so...then I lack enough DC comics knowledge to be of much aid, despite being a Superman and Batman fan growing up, I'm more a Marvel now. Though I love Joker and Scarecrow...
If not, I can roll with Dr. Eggman, or Neo Metal Sonic(IDW incarnation, as he's more usable, and works akin to Eggman in some ways). Otherwise, I can look through my list of favorite bad guys, and see who I could use.

DC characters only, I'm afraid. I'm trying to keep it somewhat Gotham City linked. You are however welcome to design your own character but please do try to keep to the theme.

Joker is likely out of the question as he's 100% in Arkham but Scarecrow is a possibility.

Gotcha, gotcha, I'm down for doing Scarecrow, I'll have to do some vague research. That or I could do a Moriarty type villain, genius criminal mastermind who either got too big for their head and slipped up, or slipped up on purpose. Or, like that one movie guy, whose job is breaking out of prisons, to test their security systems. I'm open to about anything.

@DocRock Alright, while in that RP I'm being the doctor. (Moslty to hold the plot together,) you're welcome to try to be Metal Sonic. (Although Metal would have to work with Ophelia, as would Infinite. )

Bad wording on my part, by Gotham Related I was trying to imply lower end of the power level spectrum. Think of iterations of the Suicide Squad. They don't often have a Doomsday or a Black Adam in their ranks.

Where your character is from initially or where they are based does not matter too much as long as it is somewhere in America.

I see, so I could try to be Giganta or Killer Frost? (At which point, I would need to know which versions of these two I could be. XD If not these two characters, I can be others. Heck, I could be Grodd or Luthor if you needed me to be. I've been into DC since a kid when JLA and JLU were on TV.)

I'm only just getting into DC myself, having been a mostly Marvel fan, there are a lot of characters I still know little about. I have however watched a lot of the Arrow and Flash CW shows. And I am slowly collecting the Eaglemoss DC collection of books among others.

Ah, I kind of got that. So maybe the ladies above would work? (I could be one of them.) If not, I can try to be someone else, but these two women are my favorite characters for the villains.

I see, well Giganta is a Wonder Woman rogue who joined the Legion of Doom, her power is becoming a giant and getting punched in the face by Wonder Woman. Killer Frost is a female who freezes people. She is a villain to Firestorm, but I can play her nevertheless. Depending on what era, I can be Giganta with one of her personalities, (note: I'm best when she's not a full idiot brute, hence why my favorite is in JLU where she's girly and loyal to Grodd. Then again, I can adapt.)

Otherwise, I can list more characters.

I know those two characters enough to work with them. This is taking part in Modern Age comics, but aside from that you can take inspiration from pre and post New 52, Rebirth or any of the film/game universes (maybe not Injustice). If you want to use Giganta from the Bronze or Silver age of comics, it doesn't impeach on my plans. The same goes for Killer Frost.
Dark and Gritty characters like Batman and Joker exist alongside more happy characters like Plastic Man or Shazam.

Killer Croc is another character who could work. Scarecrow, as you mentioned earlier, could be cool.
Honestly, just look up some characters on dc.wiki and find someone you like the sound of. There's very very few that I will say no to, even if you find someone incredibly obscure dude with powers that are stupid as hell.
For example, a few days ago I was reading a collection of Bronze Age Batman Team-up books and it had a villain called "The Moulder" who was just a guy in a hazmat helmet with spiderman web shooters but with hot plastic instead.

Sounds good, ngl, after hearing you mention The Moulder, I kinda wanna try him now. I can't do Deathstroke, not enough skill in his style. I knew a super good Deathstroke back in the day though, his Shadow the Hedgehog was a friend to my old main. He and I talk sometimes, if I find his Discord, I could see about inviting him to this site.

Alright, no rush then. I think I can play off both ladies, (as they had the same voice actor in the cartoons.) Maybe make them pseudo-partners, Killer Frost is the psychotic tomboyish one and Giganta is the dainty, yet prone to moments of rage type. So basically work on their paradoxes.
