Kali was shooked and taken back by his mother. She wanted to pull her hand away. she was nervous and she looked to James for help. then looked back at his mother and nodded.

The woman blinked and pulled her hand away with a gasp.

he gave her a smile and took her hand and kissed it. he walked with her back to the staircase. His eyes found his sister infront a strange women. he looked at Elizabeth and walked down to them. He looked at James.

Kali nodded and took a step back. she felt that her brother was behind her. she took a deep breath "pleasure to meet you" her voice wasnt as steady as she would have liked. she gave a small bow of respect.

James blinked when his mother quickly shook her head.

Brandon put a hand on his sisters shoulder and steps forward. "Hello good lady" he says to her "Im Brandon and Kali's brother/escort" he says "who may you be?" he asked

Emma nodded at brandon and Elizabeth but was looking toward where james had left with a frown.

"well my sister is a kind soul, one of the best, but has seen none of the world" he says "she is fond of James and will work it out with him" he told Emma. He gave Elizabeth a smile and took her hand and kissed it. "would you both like something to drink, wine, water?" he asked he walks Elizabeth towards a table big enough to fit them all.

Kali walked outside and took a few deep breaths to calm herself and cool off. she paced the stone balcony.

Elizabeth followed along with the woman.

James found kali and he walked up to her.

Kali stopped pacing and looked at him. "thats not even why im upset" she says to him "i asked you for help James to understand your world and your mother and i screwed up" she says as tears were in her eyes and she shook her head "and if you think that i want to end things, then you dont know me" she says feeling hurt. He said he wouldnt give up on her. "i cant beleive you would give me up so easily" she said and sat down on the stone wall. she brought her hands up and cried into them.

He sat down next to her. He pulled her into his arms.
"and you didn't screw up. my mother is not as strict, or harsh, as you make her out to be. She just worried about me never marrying, or having children of my own. THAT is her biggest concern...not having grandchildren."
He kept her in his embrace as a tear ran down his cheek and landed on her dress.

Elizabeth sighed.
Emma shook her head and grabbed a glass of the strongest blood-wine.

Brandon went and got water for Elizabeth and brought it back to her.

Kali looked at him "then why didnt you help me when i asked you questions" she asked him. "i told you all i know is books, i didnt grow up with 2 loving parents" she says "i asked for help from you and felt like i got none" she sighed.
