Kali fixed her makeup and dried her tears. "hopefully she wont hate me for walking out like i did" she says and looks at him "im ready to go back in" she told him.

Emma sighed.

James nodded. He held her hand and led her back inside and to that table.

"dont give that look" he says to her smiling. "try holding you breath and count to tem=n in your head" he says

Kali took his arm and leaned against him as they walked back into the mansion. He walked her over to the table her brother was sitting at. "sorry for running out like that" she told his mother.

Kali gave her a small hug back before letting go and sitting down. "you look a lot like your mother James"she says. she wasnt sure what to say she was really nervous but trying to hide it.

Brandon smiled at his sister and the looked at liz "breath" he says "before you pass out on me" he said "on second thought, if you pass out i can give you mouth to mouth" he winked at her.

James wrapped an arm around kali. He blinked and went wide eyed.

Emma chuckled.
"Thank you, but I always thought otherwise."

James frowned at his mother.

Elizabeth rolled her eyes and punched his arm. She soon stopped hiccupping on her own.

Kali moved her chair closer to James as he put his arm around her she leaned herself on his. "thank you for coming, i was hoping to meet you at some point, just didnt know it would be so soon" she says

"Well, it's not every day my son finally finds a bride."

James went wide eyed.

she blushed at that comment "no it isn't" she says to her. "but im not his bride yet, he hasn't asked me to marry him only to court me" she says to her.

Brandon winked at Elizabeth. "i love you liz" he says to her

"Well? What is taking you so long? cold feet?"

Brandon was amused with this "he has yet to meet my father" he says "he will be here in a day or two, he was attending to other business" he told her

Kali giggles. she thinks she will like her a lot. She thought she was a kind women.

"and he is one of those 'testing' to 'make him prove himself' types, I bet. My father was the same way, different attitude but still. I have a feeling he is just wanting to size James up, make sure he's got something to make him worthy of his daughter. i'm guessing: bravery, money and nobility, and strong will, for starters?"

James blinked. That was what he had pretty much explained earlier.

Elizabeth blinked and frowned.

Brandon sighed "my father can care about her well being" he says "or the worthiness of the suitor" he says "he would sell her like an animal if he was in the mood" he says "letting her do this is a game for him" he told her and looked at Kali. He looked over at Elizabeth "whats the frown for?" he asked her.

Kali agreed with her brother "he has never treated me well, but for whats it worth, i have had the best memories here and i found love" she says

"You two carry a familiar scent. Why do I get the feeling that I have met him before? hmmm...."

"oh, no no. It's a slow week and the holidays are right around the corner. Most of the many shops will be closed. I'll be free for the next few days."

"true enough. two years ago his head chef of the main one quit and he's been running ragged ever since, since he could not find a replacement yet."

James sighed a bit.
