He takes off, and flies in the vague direction of her home. "Which castle was it again?"

Cesidia points to a tall grand castle, white with dark blue trimmings.

He turns slightly, readjusting his flight path.

Cesidia holds on to him tighter as they near her home, scanning for personnel.

He watches for archers, his glowing red.

Almost every guard is on break due to the end of the war.

He still does his best to avoid any humans, and softly lands in her yard.

A young man walking with a crippled older woman. He stops and draws his sword when he sees Dharichar. "Who are you? Aren't you the demon from before? The same one that-" his face pales and he stops talking when Cesidia lets go of the demon and steps back from him, turning towards the man. "Hello, brother. It's been so long." The man clenches his fists. "What is this? Your no sister of mine." Cesidia glances at the older woman. "Splintered ACL, potentially necrotizing fasciitis, mmm... rupture in the uterus from a birthing complication," she shrugs, and the man grins faintly. "Years out of practice and already better than I could dream to be." The man dips his head to the demon. "I do pray my sister isn't mistaken in associating with you, demon. Jonathan Savona." Cesidia's eyes flash. "His name is Dharichar."

He laughs, a deep, horrifying sound. "I have no intention of harming your sister. Dharichar Darkheart, at your service." He bows.

Jonathan escorts the woman out then he turns back to Dharichar and Cesidia. "Oh, my little sister. You know your not supposed to be here." Cesidia rolls her eyes. "You know I don't care about that kind of thing. I don't care that I'm not a lady anymore." "Then where have you been?" Cesidia grins and turns to Dharichar. "Would you like to tell him?"

He grins. "Why, she's been walking though Hell with me. Obviously."

When Jonathan tenses, Cesidia chuckles and rolls her eyes. "Who do you think checkmated the king in this kingdom's favor?" She grins and winks. Jonathan gasps softly and then laughs lightly and ruffles her hair. "That's my sister all right." He sends for a servant. "Go get my brother. We will have a feast. Cesidia, why do you make company with him?" Cesidia holds Dharichar's hand. "Because I love him. And he loves me." She looks up at him, and Jonathan raises an eyebrow as if to ask for confirmation.

He nods. "What she says is true. I know my kind are feared and mistrusted. And you have good reason to fear me. But don't let my race cloud your judgement."

Jonathan huffs. "I don't mistrust you because of something as trivial as your race. I don't trust you because you've given me no reason to, and to top it off you stole my sister's heart."

"I doubt that's all he stole, by the way they look at each other," another man chimes in as he approaches. "I knew your future husband would be odd but this takes the cake, Cessie."

Cesidia grins. "Hello to you too, Arthur."

He laughs. "You're a good judge of character. But you've never seen a demonkin before."

“Aren’t you a ‘demonkin’? We both saw you before,” the brothers say simultaneously.

Cesidia rolls her eyes. “Here we go,” she mutters.

“When you first stole her!” Jonathan frowns faintly as he gives Dharichar the evil eye.

“You cad,” Arthur smirks.

Cesidia blushes and placed herself between them. “Cut it out! Both of you! Please, just give him a chance to prove himself.”

He smiles, showing his fangs. "I didn't 'steal' anyone. She came willingly." He chuckles, and meets Jonathan with a literal evil eye, his pupils glowing from the sea of fire that make up his eyes. "How am I a "Cad", if she came to me?" His tail whips around behind him, and he spreads his wings, stretching them. "But please, tell me how I can 'prove myself'."

Arthur’s eyes flash. “Cessie, promise me this bastard didn’t do anything you didn’t truly want.”

Cesidia’s face reddens. “We didn’t do anything!”

Jonathan watches Dharichar. “You didn’t have to accept her deal. I need to know you truly love her.”

“And that you won’t take advantage of her. I mean I know she’s stunning, but a real man exercises control.”

Cesidia blushes then she raises her eyebrows. “Hey, Dhar. Has hell frozen over?”

He nods. "I care about her more then I've ever cared for anything, even souls." He looks at Jonathan. "And how would I prove that? Embracing her? Intimacy?" He lifts his hand, a bloody fire blossoming for a moment, and he grins at Cesidia. "Nope. Still burning."

Cesidia smiles, chuckling a little.

Jonathan narrows his eyes then his eyes widen in surprise. “Cesidia, come here.” Shocked, Cesidia approaches him and Jonathan hugs her. He looks up at Dhar over her shoulder with the makings of a soft smile. “She’s still alive. Thank you.”

Arthur frowns. “Am I missing something?”

“The demon’s deal,” Jonathan says by way of explanation.

“Oh,” Arthur nods slowly then shakes his head. “Nope still don’t get it.” He turns to Dhar. “Surely you do.”
