Alrighty then. By the way, would going south of Red Shard simply go along the coastline or would Talogan need to sail out to sea to go in that direction?

It’ll go along the coast. That being said, there isn’t a road leading south, so you’ll be trekking through some rough terrain.

Would stealing smaller boats be considered a minor criminal offence?

A minor criminal offense would be simply trespassing on a boat, upright stealing one is a felony worth at least equal to the price of the stolen object and up to 10 years of imprisonments. A rowboat costs 50 GP, and comes with two oars. It can support up to 500 pounds and fit three medium sized creatures.

Out of curiosity, what are the Kraken's stats? You've mentioned her speed and carrying capacity already, but what about her hit points and armor class and the like. I also once read somewhere that things like ships have something called a damage threshold, but I can't really recall many details about that, so I could be wrong.

HP: 300
AC 15 (Natural Armor)
Immunity: Psychic, Poison
Resistance: Blunt, Pierce, Slash from nonmagical weapons
Damage Threshold: 15 (30 under ship)

Damage Threshhold basically means the damage is subtracted by the given amount (ex: 15) or else its reduced to 0. So a guy with an axe doing 12 damage to the ship will fail to affect it since its DR subtracts 15 from the 12 damage, effectively doing 0 damage. And that is assuming the weapon was magica, otherwise resistances will reduce the damage to 6. Adamantine weapon’s ignore both resistances and the damage threshold. Weapons like cannons are not affected by DT either. Spells are though.

Adamantine weapons ignore both resistances and damage threshold? I didn't know they could do that. I thought all they did was deal auto crits to objects.

Talogan's definitely getting some adamantine in his arsenal at some point.

They won’t be easy to get, and harder to find someone who knows how to work it, but depending on RNG you may find something worth using.

What sort of building have the orcs broken into? A big one? A small one? Is its purpose easy to deduce? Does the door look like the main door or is it just a side door?

It looks like a small store house. The door looks like the type which is normally barred from the other side (no handles) but the Orcs being orcs we’re able to break the bar once they had some leverage (prybar). Aka they broke into a door that normally only opens outwards. Aside from that it’s not entirely certain what function this building operates, as there is no windows or other immediately visible openings.

I doubt Talogan would find anything notable with an 8 in his perception check.

Yeah not much of real importance here. Ingots might be valuable if you sell them elsewhere but it'll take two men to carry one box, the pitch is always useful for ship repairs and such.

How many people would it take to carry the pitch?

Is this the only room in the building?

Also, is Talogan only allowed one attempt at the perception check or could he attempt it again if he wanted to and had the time to do so?
