"I'm sure if you exposed yourselves properly and with hesitation, the way my kind did, you could be as free as us. Though I'm not too sure about the fact you'd need to change during the moons?" she spoke in response to what he said, but she wasn't sure how he would continue with her final comment. Aerendyl began to transform then, after asking if he could stretch, which Neveah nodded to. She watched his already massive body become even larger and this was the first time she would see such a thing in person. He seemed extremely calm after his change, and so she turned to continue to lead the way. He spoke to her again then.

"Of course I can hear you, I'm not deaf?" Neveah said softly. She realized though that she hadn't actually heard him. Her eyes narrowed and she turned back to him, her eyes locking onto his intently. Had he shared his thought with her? Was he able to do that before? She couldn't quite remember, but she was sure he hadn't.

Aerendyl was taken aback by what was transpiring. He was speechless. Neveah had turned around and locked eyes with him intensely. He started to walk closer to her with curiosity. Neveah, has anything happened to you since we've met? Like feeling wise? Aerendyl spoke knowing now she could hear what he was thinking. Or at least what he wanted her to hear. Things just got interesting. Aerendyl had a choice to make pretty quickly here depending on what Neveah answered. He could either tell her what was happening or blow it off as if every werewolf was able to do this.

As he approached her, Aerendyl could see how intense Neveah's eyes really were. There was a lot that he wanted to find out right now. Was he able to hear her thoughts too? Could she hear everything he was thinking or just somethings? To many questions, but he knew he couldn't just say 'Hey I love you and we just met. I've done some magical werewolf love shit when we first met and now you're the only person I want to be with and around.' With that thought though, he wondered if she even knew about imprinting and how it worked. Guess things were about to get very awkward soon.

"No. I feel perfectly normal. Why? Should I somehow feel some random other way? What are you talking about?" she felt unsure and annoyed, and moved away from him a couple of small steps. Her body was framed by gorgeous flowers and fauna, and it made her pale skin stand out.

He seemed to be deep in thought, or at least that's what his expression looked like and she waited for his response. Her stomach tightened as anxiety rose inside of her. She didn't feel this way often, so she knew that something was going on, but she didn't know what it was or why.

Aerendyl watched as Neveah stepped back from him slightly. He sighed to himself then turned back into his normal form. I've never been able to communicate with anyone like that before while in that form. It took me by surprise that something like that could actually happen. I'm sorry to startle you. He hung his head slightly. Who knew not telling someone that you basically worship the ground they walk on could be hard. It pained him to not say anything, but now was not the time. Even though the setting would have been perfect. The moon lit up Neveah's pale skin and the flowers around her. She was beautiful. This place was beautiful. Everything inside him said to embrace her, but he knew he couldn't. He felt a little ridged and it took everything he could muster to look away from her. We should get going. Otherwise I might not want to leave. He forced a laugh, but deep down he felt sad and disappointed.

"Why wouldn't you want to leave?" she said again, watching his face curiously. She felt confused and even though he didn't say anything really in answer to her original question, she knew there was something he wanted to say, but didn't. She had been in positions like that before though, so she tried to let it go. She was curious though why he would want to stay in a garden. It was pretty, but not very appropriate for someone to live in. His new home wasn't too far outside of the gardens edges. She could even see the roof from where she stood if she looked past Aerendyl and not at him.

This place just makes me think of home before I... before i destroyed it. This brought a different kind of pain to Aerendyl's chest. The thought of home wasn't something he liked to even consider talking about. Before being able to show any pain, Aerendyl sighed then turned back to Neveah. Okay so where are we going? You said that it wasn't that far from here? He watched as Neveah was looking past him. He followed her gaze to the roof of some house that didn't actually seem all that far away. Maybe she would let him come and visit this courtyard every so often. That would take his mind off everything happening if he could have a little piece of home nearby. Is that it? He pointed to the house off in the distance.

Neveah nodded when he asked if the house in the near distance was going to be his. "Yes that's it. It's a small one bedroom place, but it really is beautiful. I think you'll like it. And it's close enough that you can come here often. There's a trail similar to the one we used to enter the gardens, leading close to here so you can come whenever if you feel the need. I do understand you probably find peace here, so I wouldn't mind. My quarters are just there," she pointed upwards to the castle at a tall towered area.

What Aerendyl didn't know what this new home of his, was hers also. She owned a few different homes all over the world, for escape but also for when she needed to travel. "I hope you like it. I know it's not your house, though."

I appreciate that a lot. You'll probably see me in here a quite often then. Thank you. Aerendyl smiled at Neveah gently before turning away and walking to the new house. As they made their way, she showed him the path to the courtyard so he would have an easy time making his way. Once they reached the new house, he could see that it was quite modern and small. A brick house with a porch. It sure wasn't anything like his house, but it would do. It wasn't like he had a choice of where he could live though, but it was nice of Neveah to house him somewhere safe even though she hardly knew him. So complaining was out of the question, not that he was going to anyways. This place looks lovely. I'm sure I'll feel right at home here. He smiled at her as they walked into the house. There was one bedroom with a bathroom right next to it. The kitchen and living room were joined together to form one large room. As much as he liked to have everything in a separate room, this was just fine. It's not like he was going to entertain anyone anyways.

As Aerendyl walked through each room, he started to feel a little lonely even though Neveah was in the house with him. He sat down on the bed for a few minutes before laying down on it. The room was small, but at the same time it was enough room for him and one other person to sleep comfortably. He closed his eyes for a bit then opened them when he could smell Neveah in the doorway. Sitting up slightly in the bed, Aerendyl smilled at Neveah. This place is nice. Thank you for letting me stay here. The two of them made eye contact for a few seconds before they looked away from each other. Are you gonna come visit me? Aerendyl got out of the bed then walked over to Neveah gently. He figured it would be okay if he winked at her when he said that so he did. She'd probably take it as a joke anyways.

"I'll be checking in with you, yes." Her answer was immediate but didn't really leave anything open to continue that branch of the conversation. When Aerendyl winked at her though, her stomach knotted. Her nostrils flared slightly in response, and she tried to shove the odd feeling aside. She smiled politely and showed her fangs as she did. She glanced at the bedroom behind him for a moment before turning away and headed back into the kitchen.

"I will have someone bring you food and whatever other things you will need for the house in a few hours. Out back there is a bit of forested area as well and also a pool if you care to use it. Someone tends to it twice a week," she paused briefly, trying to think of anything else she might need to tell him. She continued with a final sentence.

"Here is my cell number, in case you need or want to get a hold of me if something is wrong." She handed him a small piece of paper with her number on it and turned toward the front door. The house smelled off now that Aerendyl was inside, but it was a much less potent scent compared to when she first saw him.

Aerendyl could tell Neveah wasn't really into having a social moment with him now. It was pretty late though so maybe she just wanted to go home. They did just spend the last few hours together so buy now she was probably done with his "sent." He was already used to hers. At this point he couldn't even tell the difference. He took the paper from her with the number on it and placed it on the counter. Well here's mine if you ever need me or just want to talk. I'm sure with your position you might not have many people to talk to about what's frustrating you. Or maybe you do I don't know. Just text or call whenever you want. Aerendyl wrote out his number for her then gave it to her before she left. He thanked her again before she left then watched as the door closed behind him. She must have walked away pretty quickly because that empty feeling started to come back. It wasn't as bad as before In Ravenshire, but it was still there.

Once gone, Aerendyl roamed around the house. The bathroom has a nice bathtub and shower. One on one side and the other on the other. This bathroom was much nicer then the bloody mess at his place. As he thought of Ravenshire, Aerendyl's stomach started to rumble a bit. it was getting that time to get some food. Neveah did say that someone would be by to drop off food in a few hours, but that food wouldn't fill him up. He was going to need to go hunting tonight to be tide over for a while. I wonder what's around here. I should go a bit of a ways out though if I'm going to hunt. I don't want to freak out the other vampires here. Neveah may be nice, but I don't know how the others would react to me. It only took a few minutes for him to grab what was needed for this hunt. A deer should probably suffice for now.

As he opened the door to leave, someone was already out there waiting. They looked ready to knock on the door. Oh that was much faster then I thought. I figured you would be a few hours? The man standing there didn't really show any expression and just shrugged. The queen said that there was a guest that was in need of food and anything else that was needed. So here's your food and I brought you some clothes and sheets as well. If it's not to your liking then I can take it back. Aerendyl just shook his head and took the bags. there's no need for that. I'm sure everything's just fine. Thank you and let Neveah know I said thank you as well. She's been very kind to me. The man gave him a slight glance when he said Neveah's name, then just nodded his head and left.

Once the man was gone and Aerendyl was finished putting the food way, he made his way outside again to hunt. Strapped with his swords just in case, he started to run out into the forest. A few minutes into the run, he transformed into a wolf and started to sniff around for something good. There was moose, deer, elk, and even a few foxes nearby that he could smell. The moose was closest, but that was going to be a pretty bloody fight if he decided to go for that. Though that would fill him up for much longer then the deer would. As he quickly made the decision to take down the moose, it started to rain. Not just a light rain either, but more like a thunderstorm. It felt nice to feel the rain pour down off his fir. This would make cleaning up much easier.

The moose was now in sight, and Aerendyl instantly attacked, not giving the moose a second to react. The fight last for a few minutes and he ripped off the legs before going for the throat. The moose wailed in pain and stabbed Aerendyl with it's antlers before dying. Aerendyl let out a howl as he got stabbed, but then fell over top of the moose. He's been stabbed like that before but each time still hurt as much as the last. he started to rip apart the moose and eat as much as he could before getting to full. It was delicious as usual. Moose was probably his favorite meal to have.

Once done, he laid next to the dead beast and started to think as his stomach was processing the meat. He got to thinking about Neveah again and how the imprinting worked. How was she affected by it and how could he go one from here if she didn't end up feeling the same way. Neveah I wish I could tell you everything. I know it's weird ad we just met, not to mention that you're a vampire and I'm a werewolf, but if I could just tell you what's going on I think things would be better. I could be wrong and that could be wishful thinking. I don't know you and you don't know me. I'd like to get to know you though. I think that we would be good together, but that's just the imprinting speaking there. Anyways I know I'm just talking to myself, but I wish I could tell you this. Aerendyl closed his eyes for a minute and visualized Neveah in his head. While doing that he started to wonder if she could still hear him from this distance or if their connection was limitless. That thought brushed aside quickly as the thunder started to clap louder. Guess it's time to go home. He started to run as quickly as he could back to the house while the rain cleaned him off.

The vampire that stood outside of Aerendyl's new house held bags with sheets and clothing and a hell of a lot of groceries. Many of the bags were filled with steaks and roasts and other things of high protein that he could eat raw when he wasn't hunting. There were also snacks and other things like milk, eggs, bread, and cheese. Neveah wasn't sure what types of things he liked, so she hoped she covered most of the basics. The clothing in the bags were more modern, clean and comfy. The bedding and towels matched the insides of each room, and were mostly neutral in color.

As Neveah neared her home, she began to feel tired. It had been many hours since she had gone to get Aerendyl, and the sun would come up soon. She yawned as if on cue with her thoughts, and headed up the outer set of stairs to her personal balcony. When she reached the top, she unlocked the door and stepped inside. The balcony lead into her living room and she sunk down onto the huge leather couch for a while, closing her eyes after ensuring the black out curtains were closed. Her bag was set down against the leg of the sofa and her phone rested on the seat next to her. She fell asleep for a while, thirst rising into her throat while she slept.

Once Aerendyl made it back to the house, the rain had subdued and the sun started to come up. Not all of the blood had washed off of him on the run back so he was going to still need a shower. Time to see what that thing was made of. Before turning back into an elf, Aerendyl decided to shake off all the water that he could leaving the porch covered in water and splotches of blood. Oops. Hope they don't get mad about that. He thought to himself before turning back into an elf. Alright! Shower time. He exclaimed, already excited to get it.

As the shower turned on, the steam already started to fill the room. Since there wasn't much blood left, the water just washed it all away. Aerendyl scrubbed himself down to get rid of the smell then, hopped on out. He grabbed a towel and started to try off. He walked on into the main room where Neveah's number was still on the counter. Well the sun's already up, but she'll get this when she wakes up. He sent out a text to her saying "Hey it's Aerendyl. I know you're probably asleep by now so just wanted to make sure this worked and to say have a good sleep. See you when I see you." And he sent it with a smiley face emoji.

Now that he was all clean and dried off, Aerendyl went back into the bedroom where the smell of Neveah lingered a bit. He closed the curtains making it super dark then turned on the tv for some background noise. It didn't take to long for him to fall asleep after that.

A loud banging on her door woke Neveah up immediately from her sleep. Her eyes shot open and she sat up, startled. She glanced around the room for a moment to try and ground herself, and to determine what time it was. She figured it was around noon. She had only been asleep for five hours or so, and because she had fallen asleep on the sofa, her body felt slightly stiff. She stretched and grabbed her cell phone for a moment, only to see there was a text.

"Hey it's Aerendyl. I know you're probably asleep by now so just wanted to make sure this worked and to say have a good sleep. See you when I see you. :)" it read.

Neveah added his number to her cell and another few bangs on the door followed. "Okay hold on a minute!" She growled slightly, annoyed at the abrupt awakening, and swung her door open. Lucius stood opposite her and he looked furious. Neveah raised a delicate eyebrow up into an arch, and stared at him.

"Don't even start with me Lucius. I know what this is about, and it is not your choice nor your kingdom." Neveah said.

He snarled at her and stepped forward so they both were in her quarters. He slammed the door behind him and grabbed Neveah by her shoulders, shaking her roughly.

"What are you fucking thinking? Bringing a mutt into the kingdom! He's going to murder our entire population! Not only that, the poor fuck has imprinted on you. I could smell it just walking toward your quarters! Tell me you didn't..." Lucius hissed.

"What do you mean imprinted? I've barely even spoken to him..." Neveah said, her voice having gone from annoyed to shocked. "Are you sure?"

"As sure as the full moon." Lucius stated. "Deal with it, or his head will be upon the stake. Before we all are." He gave her one more look before turning away and leaving. Neveah hadn't even noticed her hands shaking until she glanced down at her cell phone, which slid out of her hand and onto the floor with a thud. For a moment she wished her meetings with Lucius could be fun and happy, instead of angry. Once she picked up her cell phone, she texted Aerendyl back.

"We need to talk. Meet me in the garden at sunset."

Aerendyl woke up a few hours later. He looked at the time which read 2:30. A good six and a half hours of sleep wasn't to bad. Must have been the new bed. He looked over at his phone and saw that Neveah had texted him. We need to talk. Meet me in the garden at sunset. It read. This puzzled Aerendyl a little. After saving the number, he quickly texted back. What's going on? Is something wrong? He sent the text back real quick then started to make a snack. Maybe she changed her mind about him staying here or maybe it was about the hunt he did last night. Could be anything at all honestly.

Aerendyl made it apparent not to worry until he either got answers or otherwise. The snack he started to make was a nice tender thick steak. Now most of the time he would just eat the whole thing raw, but today he was feeling a little fancy. He cooked both sides until they looked golden brown then threw in some steak sauce to give it flavor. After it was all done the steak looked amazing. He almost felt bad when he gobbled it all down in one gulp. As soon as he finished and washed his dishes, his phone buzzed indicating there was a text. Must be Neveah. He thought before opening it up.

"Yes. See you then." was all she responded when Aerendyl finally answered her. She had been pacing around her room for a while and she shoved the phone onto her night stand, plugging it in to charge. She wanted to ignore it for a while, and went to take a long shower. She let her mind wander to anything and everything except for Aerendyl, pushing him from her thoughts the moment he entered. It was difficult, but she managed to do it. Once her shower was over, she dried off and put on a tight knit dress. It was navy in color, and made her already pale skin stand out again. She often chose colors that contrasted with her skin because it made her stand out. Though people recognized her anywhere most of the time anyhow.

To pass some more of the time, Neveah decided to go back to sleep until sunset. A few hours later she awoke and groaned, stretching. Everything came rushing back to her and she stood up, smoothing her clothes out as well as her hair. When she felt ready, she sighed deeply and headed out onto her balcony toward the gardens. Once she was outside and the sun had set, she sat on a solid cement bench, tapping her foot on the grass beneath.

Aerendyl just looked at his phone and sighed. See? Now she has come to reason. Guess I should go pack my bags now. Oh wait I didn't bring anything. He said with a stern cold tone in his voice. Of course he'd feel a little upset even though he didn't know what it could be about. Maybe she had actually heard him last night and is now asking him to leave. Yeah good going me. Just go ahead and fuck everything up. Oh well I didn't want to stay here anyways. The more he talked and thought the more annoyed he was getting. Not at Neveah but at himself. Who would love someone like him anyways? A fallen king who has nothing but his name.

The time went by so slowly as he waited and waited. TV wasn't helping nor was the swim he decided to take. The only thing that got hiim to calm down a bit was taking another shower. As evening approached, Aerendyl started to make his way to the courtyard. He did what he could to say calm and collective, but deep down he was feeling dread. Once he had arrived, Neveah wasn't there yet. Aerendyl took this time to look around at the flowers again and smell everything. He wanted to soak it all in as this could be the last time he was able to be here. As the time went by, he had sniffed and looked at everything he could. It wasn't until a familiar sent reached his nose that he turned around to see Neveah. Still glistening in her outfit beautiful as always. But right now wasn't the time to be gushing over her. What's going on? Aerendyl said as gently yet ferm as he could.

Neveah would be the first person to admit she didn't know much about imprinting from a wolf. She knew how it worked within her own kind though. She felt a little mad, but tried to stop herself from letting that emotion control her.

"My brother woke me today with some interesting... facts, to say the least. He told me you've imprinted on me, that he could smell it. Is that true?" she said. She watched his expression closely, as well as watched for any shift in his aura or stature. Neveah wasn't the type of person to fall in love easily. Let alone allow herself to be so reckless as to bind herself to another. She had so much constantly going on that it rarely crossed her mind. She enjoyed the physical aspects of relationships far more than the emotional, despite how kind hearted she was most of the time.

She began to pace around again slightly, never once taking her eyes off of him though as she waited for his response. She felt like screaming as the anticipation grew inside of her. But what if he had? What would she do? She could tell him to leave. But she didn't know if that would hurt him, or how much it would hurt him to be so far from her. Her mind was racing.

Aerendyl's eyes narrowed as Neveah was telling him what had happened. Damn this brother of yours. He thought to himself. This wasn't a conversation I was ready to have with you yet. I wanted to get to know you before anything. Yes. As to what your brother as said to you it is all true. I have imprinted on you. Now as you may or may not know this isn't a thing I control. It just happens. That night of the full moon we fought together is when I figured it out. I never expected to see you again so I didn't bother to tell you. Besides what would I have told you? Hi we just met and I will follow you to the ends of the earth if I had to? No. He watched as Neveah tensed up and paced around. This wasn't at all how he thought this was going to go, but it was happening now and something had to get done. If he left then the pain would come back and probably be worse then before. There was one choice he could run by her. She would have to kill him though.

Look I know this is nothing that you want and even I can see that you want nothing to do with and actual relationship. I'm no one to you and seeing as we hardly know each other, this would make things weird and not for me but for you. So I can leave if you want. Or you can kill me on the spot and not have to worry about any of this ever. Forget it ever happened and move on. His voice sounded solemn as the words left his lips. 400 years old and this was his first and only time he would ever feel like this. To bad it was short lived. He waited for Neveah to stop pacing around and answer him. Either way he knew he was never going to see him again after this.

"Kill you? No. What is with everyone and immediately wanting to turn to violence?" Neveah said gently. She sounded much more calm than she felt in the moment, and her eyes scanned the garden around them. She was trying to decide what to say.

"I'm not the type of person who's good at being with someone... I'm good at... The physical stuff... and running my kingdom. Love would distract me from doing the best job I can. I don't understand how this happened... All I was doing was trying to help... Maybe I have been distracted already..." she said finally. Her eyes fell to the ground where she stood and she furrowed her brow together.

"I'm not going to make you leave or anything. Your situation is still apparent. I just need time to think."

Aerendyl just sighed. He wanted to get closer to Neveah, but knew that that was a bad idea, so he stayed still. Look I'm not asking you to be with me. I've lived with worse pain to this day. I've never loved nor have I thought I would love so in that sense we are on the same boat. As for killing me? That would just make life easier for you. Not like I want to die, but how I feel is wanting the best for you. Obviously your kingdom comes first you only just met me. He sighed gently and decided to walk closer anyways and take her hand in his. There was no telling what Neveah would do from this, but it just felt right.

Look I just want this to be easy for the both of us. Aerendyl wanted to kiss her more than anything in this moment, but he didn't know if he should. Things were a little testy right now. Fuck it. He thought to himself as he pulled Neveah's chin up and leaned in to kiss her. Their lips pressed gently together and Aerendyl could feel Neveah's lower lip against his tongue. He pulled her as close as he could, placing his hand on her lower back keeping her where she was. It didn't feel like she was trying to pull away anyways, so he kissed her for as long as possible before pulling away. Aerendyl looked down at Neveah and realized what he had done. He let go of her hand and started to walk away. I'm sorry... I'll leave..
