Eric tried to help her carry her bag and such. He blinked and looked at their hands. Anyway, he followed her, staying close as they held hands like that. He loved her so much. He wanted to protect her....always. However, he frowned when he saw his sister, and the look that she had on her face.

Emily blinked. She looked at Aela. She quickly shook her head.
"It's....nothing."
She sighed and looked away.

Aela looked concerned for Emily, but dropped it when she looked away. “let’s keep walking and gain some distance between us and the spiders. Then I can make you both breakfast. Then we can discuss how we should proceed. Is that okay with both of you?”

Eric nodded.
-"I just don't want you to risk the danger with those spiders."

Emily sighed. She nodded once.
"Alright."

Eric frowned and looked at Emily for a moment.
-"Let us head out then."
He still held Aelas' hand. He would walk alongside her while Emily walked behind them.

Aela held Eric’s hand as emotions swirled within her. Twice Eric had saved her on this journey. She wanted to protect him too. Normally, she’d be a bit more harsh due to her emotions. But, with almost losing Eric last night..she couldn’t bear for him to leave her side. Her hand gripped Eric’s slightly.

Once they gained enough distance, Aela made a jam to go on toasted pieces of bread. However her mind wandered a bit.

Eric watched as she prepared the toast and such. However, he saw the look on her face. He frowned.
-"Are you alright, my love?"
He asked that sincerely.

Emily blinked. She glanced up at Aela. She frowned in concern. She hoped Aela was ok.

Aela glanced over to Eric “It’s about last night. That was very brave and very sweet of you. But extremely reckless. You scared me and Emily, for a bit...I thought I lost you...and it would have been my fault. If Emily didn’t go off and bring back our serpent friend...I don’t think my powers would have been enough to save you. Thank you Em.”

Emily blinked. She shook her head.
"I only did what I thought was the right thing to do."

Eric blinked. He frowned. He sighed and looked down at the ground.
-"I....I was only trying to protect you. To save you. I....I am sorry."

Aela smiled to Emily's humble answer. "It was thanks to your quick thinking we all survived last night." Aela turned to Eric and held both his hands this time "I really appreciate what you did, but I don't think you should sacrifice your life for mine. You've protected me twice and I know I might not look it, but I can protect you too. I promise you both will see my gifts and I promise to get stronger to protect you chosen ones." Aela teased.

"Now eat up before we continue our long journey."

Emily shrugged. She glanced away.
"...if you say so."
She tried not to sigh or anything. She was a bit...distracted....at the moment, by her own thoughts. She was still thinking about that serpent and everything.

Eric sighed. He blinked when Aela was suddenly holding both of his hands like that.
-"I do not want you to try and sacrifice YOURS."
Eric said that almost firmly, yet with concern and everything in his voice.

-"I do not wish to think about what would happen if something ever happened to you. I would not know what to do."
He frowned at the thought.

Both twins hesitated to eat, almost forgetting there was food there.

Aela held Eric's hands gently and glanced over to Emily she was concerned about her. But she knew better than to pry into something she shouldn't when it came to Emily.

Aela glanced back to Eric as he began to speak to her. She paused with that demand, but nodded in consideration. "Okay, I promise that I wont be reckless and waste my life in protecting you two. We will all make it home safely. I can promise you both that. Now, go ahead and eat so you can have energy for the day."

Emily sighed.
"Why could I understand him?"
She spoke her thought out loud in a very quiet whisper.

Eric nodded. But, he frowned. He couldn't help but worry. He loved her after all. Anyway, he finally ate a bite of food when he got one of his hands free. He looked at Aela.
-"You know I love you, right?"

Emily may or not have recalled the warning the serpent gave to her.

Aela ate while writing something down she looked over to Eric with a smile. "I do, and do you know I love you with a burning passion?"

Emily thought about the serpent, and the warning he had given. She took a deep breath. There was something else too. She had a sudden feeling that she would be seeing those eyes again, and whomever they actually belonged to, in the near future. She wasn't sure why though and was very confused.

Eric faintly smiled. He nodded.
-"Of course."
He kissed her briefly. He pulled back quickly and blushed.

Aela kissed him back and stopped when he stepped back quickly. She cleared her throat and finished eating deciding to do the dishes. When Eric and Emily finishing eating.

Aela excused herself for a moment as she needed to blow off some steam, but said instead "I need to reduce my mana, I am going to step away for a bit and we can continue on our journey are you okay with that?

Eric blinked.
-"Shouldn't we stick together?"
Eric sounded worried. He frowned. He stood up. He was already finished eating. He had that concerned and worried look in his eyes again as he looked at Aela like that.

Emily blinked. She glanced up.
"um....alright.....but like my brother said."
She simply frowned after that.

Aela turned to them both, "Yes it is nice to be together. But my flames burn anything around me when I need to waste mana. I am uncertain if the swamp releases a flammable gas or not. I'd rather not risk you two exploding. Or having to take an explosion, it's never fun." She thought to herself please take the hint and leave me alone.... please take the hint.

Eric sighed. He wanted to go with her. Emily sighed. She felt the same way. Both frowned as they looked at her. They hesitated to respond. They cared about her, the both of them.

Eric was starting to look sad as well.

Aela sighed, realizing both wanted to accompany her and the6 didn’t take the hint. “Fine, you can come. But, seriously mind your distance. You have to promise me.”

Eric sighed.
-"Very well."
He nodded once. Emily sighed. She nodded once as well.

"Very well then."

They both frowned though, still. They waited.

Aela wandered close by the rocks and caves she stood on a large boulder after climbing it. She summoned her flames and let loose with all her emotions. With that her magic was stronger and more dangerous. Without meaning to, she summoned black flames. The air felt thick for Eric and Emily almost felt like the air was burning the insides of their throats as they breathed it in.

As Aela continued to release her emotions she didn’t realize she was burning her friends as she let her go.
