Emily and Eric followed her. However, they were not too close as Aela did what she had to do. They kept their distance. They were both showing obvious respect. They both frowned in worry and concern. They also both hoped that it would be over soon. Eric did not want her to get hurt. Emily felt the same way.

Emily was unsure what to say. Eric sighed. He was silent.

Aela continued to let her emotions take over until the last cinders of her emotions left her exhausted. She fell to her knees and the scorch marks on the rock surrounded her. She caught her breath as the tears of frustration began to fall. They were cold as they slid down her cheeks. She remained there for several more minutes before eventually returning to Emily’s and Eric’s location.

Eric was the first to run up to her. He blinked. He saw that she had been crying. He quickly pulled her into his arms. He held her like that for some time.
-"...Are you ok?"

Emily watched, worried and concerned. She frowned. She carefully walked up to them. She glanced between her brother and Aela. She waited, looking as worried and concerned as she felt.

Aela let Eric hold her but she held him to she extended an open arm to Emily to join them. “Eric..Em I know you both feel powerless in what’s happened to you. And I can’t do much, but I will do all I can to help you both. I swear it to you chosen ones. Whatever is ahead, we can overcome together.”

Emily blinked. She hesitated. She joined in the group hug for a time. However, Eric gave her a look. She almost smirked as she backed away a bit. She looked at Aela and nodded.
"We're friends. We should be helping YOU as well."

Eric sighed and nodded.
-"I want to be able to help you as well. I do not like feeling helpless. I feel bad when you have to do things on your own like that."

Aela smiled at Emily's comment. "I'm okay, you have other things to worry about." While they were in a group hug they felt the reminiscence of warmth from summoning her flames and the scent of smoke that seemed to stick to her. She noticed Emily stepping away and thought to herself how odd that was.

"I kinda have to be alone when I expend mana. I don't believe either of you are fire proof yet." Aela teased and sighed "Let's begin looking for the cave in the next step of the book deals something with fire. Let's see what I need to do."

Emily sighed.
"Yes, and I do not need anything else to worry about."
That was her reply to that.

Eric sighed.
-"I have been worrying about you quite often since we began traveling."

Emily blinked. Eric rolled his eyes at the teasing. Both of them shook their heads a bit. Then, when Aela said to go looking for the cave and such, they both nodded.
"Yes."
-"Of course."

They would walk with her and begin to search for the cave in question.

Aela smiled and laughed a bit. “Alright, I understand. I will try not to worry you too much. Sorry Em.”
Aela glanced to Eric as she stepped out of his arms a bit to get a good look at him. “Worried about me? Why?”

Aela took a sharp inhale as she summoned two flames one remaining by the twins and one by her as sheled the way into the caverns of the cave. It seemed like a full labyrinth with caves. The spiders jittering could cause all sorts of echoes in the cave.

Emily sighed. She nodded once.

Eric sighed.
-"I love you. I am always going to worry about you. I care about you too much."
He started to ramble a bit.

They would soon both look where Aela was looking and then both of them would frown.

Aela in response to Eric held his hand for a few moments kissing his cheek and moved into the cave with her two flames. She began leading them deeper into the tunnels of the cave that twisted and turned sharply. One flame floated with Emily and Eric while the one next to Aela split into two and grew back to a regular size.

After a while in the darkness she stopped. And Eric and Emily could see her orange flames she summoned change color. From orange to a deep purple to a light lavender color.

"Guys? This isn't my magic. My flames have never been this color before."

Eric faintly blushed a little when she kissed him on the cheek like that. Anyway, he and Emily would follow her along those tunnels and such. They were careful in the darkness. They were quiet for a time as well. Emily and Eric both glanced around, but they could barely see anything. The flames helped them see just a little bit.

They both blinked when Aela stopped in her tracks like that. They ended up stopping in their tracks as well. Emily frowned. Eric whispered to Aela.
-"What is it?"
Eric frowned when he heard what aela said, and so did Emily since she heard it too. They both were just as confused as she was.

"What could this mean?"

Eric glanced between his sister and Aela.
-"I am.....not sure."
He took a breath, thinking.

The lavender flames floated together and merged causing a bright flash. The flames turned into a rose red and split into several pieces as freagents of the flames flew to stone torches. Aela approached a torch carefully feeling it's stone surface.

"There's mana in this torch... this isn't ordinary maybe this is supposed to happen? Maybe we follow the lit torches?"

Emily blinked. She gave a confused frown.
"...…."

Eric glanced around. He frowned. He nodded once.
-"Perhaps."
He looked at Aela.
-"What do you think? You have a say in this as well after all."

Aela thought for a moment, and spoke calmly.

"The book says that fire would lead the way, and it is the same shade as glow from the roses. They must be connected that way for a good reason. I think this is our best bet. What do you two think? "

Emily and Eric looked at each other for a moment. Then, they looked at Aela again. The two of them both shrugged. Emily spoke first.
"I suppose. It would not hurt to investigate at least."

Eric nodded.
"I agree."
He faintly smiled a bit at Aela for a moment. He stood right next to the woman he loved as he said that.

Aela nodded to Emily’s suggestion and blushed slightly as Eric gave his response and stood beside her. Their hands were brushing each other’s and she lanced her fingers in his. “Okay we can check it out and if there is a slightest hint of danger we come back here.”

Instead of taking the lead she let Emily or Eric go ahead to lead. As a wave of exhaustion began to settle over her and her pain retreated into a dull afterthought.

Eric blinked. He looked at their hands.

Emily nodded. She blinked when she was suddenly allowed to take the lead. She sighed and started walking.

Eric kept glancing at Aela as they walked, following the flames. The tunnel would seem to go on and on. It was quite a while before it showed any sign of ending.

Aela began to slow down before eventually collapsing to her knees once at the entrance. Eric noticed while she held his hand she gradually got colder. Until his hand was warmer than hers. Aela huffed a few times a bit confused as to what was going on..but her pain had completely stopped the feeling was...fantastic.

@Emera LoreEric noticed the feeling in her hand. He glanced down. He gasped, eyes wide.

-"Aela?!"

Emily soon saw for herself. She gasped as well, her own eyes wide. She ran up to Aela.

Eric pulled her into his arms.
-"What's wrong?!"
He frowned with extreme worry and concern. The feeling was showing in his eyes.

Aela was able to regain her breath after a bit and glanced to them both with a smile. "Sorry to worry you both. I haven't used my powers this much this often... it seems that I have run out of mana for the time being. And... for the first time I am not in pain. " Aela began to cry with happiness from the pain being gone, she was able to feel alive and free for the first time despite how exhausted she was.
