Both of you have better English than some primary speakers I know. If it helps though, one thing I do is to read my own writing after finishing a post and ask myself if I'm satisfied with what I've got. If the answer is no then I edit until the answer becomes yes. Most of the time, these edits are just small things that no one else but myself will notice, but that's okay because I feel like it helps me improve as a writer so I can do better by the next post. I assume that's just what everyone does though, so ignore me if you do this already.

I'm assuming we're going to reconvene, with the initial first strike of the Empire gone. Perhaps get some more details on the kingdom and court, unless you planned on making this purely a battle centered rpg.

I can wait until your characters finish talking to each other. Basically the idea is that we're at the end of the 'first chapter' of the story, so to speak, so I want to tie things up neatly before moving onto the next.

I'll leave Eilis for now, since I am planning on slowly bringing in her backstory.
Eilis's memory fragments will be put in from time to time, this will just happen in little snippets or when the situation calls for it.
Also since Eilis clearly went beyond her breaking point she'll be blind for a short while and her magic will be shortcircuiting or not working for the time being.

I'm sorry for all the confusion I caused, guys. This only happened because I failed to communicate clearly and I think it's because I was trying to avoid spoiling future events or give disappointing answers, but in doing so I've only ended up causing some misunderstandings.

@Omni5876, as I mentioned to you already in our pm, while I did say that the battle is coming to an end, I should have made it clear from the start that it wasn't over quite yet due to the 3rd frigate still being in the fight. More than that however, when you did move things to the hospital scene (before editing it out), I should have just run with it instead of acting on impulse to, as I saw it, correct a mistake. I think that if a gm did that to me, I'd be more hesitant about what I write in future posts and I hate that kind of atmosphere. Worse still if I'm that gm, so what I want to say is that you did nothing wrong and I apologize if I made you feel like you did.

Furthermore, when you mentioned continuing to post interactions with @deia876lat after my break, truthfully I wanted to say no, but I didn't want it come off as a flat out rejection so I gave a half assed answer instead while assuming that these interactions would be occurring within the frame of the current scene. I assumed incorrectly which has resulted in this entire mess. To make up for it in some small way, you two are free to continue posting in my absence if you wish.

As for @deia876lat, I should have mentioned what was going on far sooner than I did. I'm guessing you were already writing your post when I pmed you and now with all that's happened, you might need to rewrite the whole thing. Then again however, that's just me assuming things again so all I can say is that I'm sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused.

To anyone else reading this, I know this whole thing seems like it should be in a pm, but I want everyone who's willing to participate in the roleplay to know what they're getting themselves into. I can't say that I'm the most competent gm, but I want to do the right thing and learn from my mistakes, and more importantly improve as a result. So please, let me know if I'm doing something wrong and I promise to do better.

I seriously cannot see who you did. I have no issue with editing the post. I actually thought that either way, Arn would probably be no more than dead weight in his condition so even if you wanted to close out the battle scene he would probably be a non contender. Hence my idea of moving to the hospital and in that manner be able to interact with @deia876lat with no true effect on the story other than our own personal growth. However, I am don't see like this has affected my feelings towards the RP. If anything, I feel I am not contributing much to world building because I do feel hesitant as to what would be acceptable.

However, to any body reading this too, I feel like our OOC discussion and how we adapt that to the IC is actually very valuable and applicable. That being said, I am truthfully happy with this RP and cant wait for more.

Darlings, sorry for the absence had to work extra, but just to be clear on this:

So Omni and I will be able to continue posting (after flying off,) in your temporary absence (sticking mostly to our own characters and writing the 'House of Healing/Hospital' scene; where the characters would go to be patched up again).

Or are we to end our posts, with Omni getting unconscious for example and me flying off with him; que fade to black.
But from that point on we have to wait for your return so we can continue?

I don't mind you if you say no, what I want above all else is to avoid further confusion and frustration.

I wouldn't call this dropping the ball, you have the best intentions (as do we) and I think our posts show this enjoyment off.
Don't be too harsh on yourself, with good world building being a complex matter in general you can't get everything right straight away. Speaking for myself I enjoy this RP immensely and eagerly await your posts to see how the characters get out of certain situations.

I don't know what to say, guys, but thanks. I guess I was being needlessly dramatic after all. I just thought that I was acting like a stereotypically bad gm whose plans got derailed, so I was afraid that I pretty much ruined the fun for everyone. Still, I'll try to be more mindful of my behavior in the future and remember that the roleplay is as much for your enjoyment as it is mine. Anyways, moving on.

@Omni5876, you've contributed a lot, don't sell yourself short. The rankings, the way magic works for mages (which I think you describe a lot better than I do), what the airships are like, none of those things were really thought out that much until you brought up the question. If you'd like to contribute more though, I think you could do what @deia876lat does and just tie your ideas directly into your posts or just talk about them, either here or in a pm. As long as they don't contradict the established lore, any additions are more than welcome. For example, I'd be interested to know more about the Shooting Stars and its individual members, or maybe even see them in action. Flesh them out a bit more, you know? That'll be something for sure.

@deia876lat, you and Omni are free to continue posting after I take my break. As a matter of fact, I'll be looking forward to it, considering what's going to happen next after I post tomorrow (or the day after). It's probably going to be a long one, I'll mention a bit about Ellis getting dropped off in a way that explains how she ends up at the same place as Arn if that's okay.
