Jen and Aura checked on the Ponyta before going to btrakfast. The Ponyta open the gate and follows Jen to breakfast. The Ponyta plays with Jen’s Pokémon as Jen joins her friends at a table as she drinks some juice.

Shiranui was looking at navigation information about Route 6 over a breakfast of tea and crumpets. He found it was mostly cliffs under an intense sun; but jumping out at him were rumours of a scientist named Cara Liss that combined two fossils together to form one of a quartet of mismatched fossil Pokémon.

Liam had been reading an article about Cara as well, but it mentioned a partner named "Bray Zenn". Liam had upon reading about what those two did imagine Lilieep's neck and head on the body of an Aerodactyl.

"Do those two remind you of a mad scientist in an old movie that reanimated a corpse?" Shiranui asked Liam.

Jen was listening and nods as it seem a bit crazy to her.

"Yeah," Liam replied. "But, of course, the real 'monster' in that movie was the scientist, not his creation."

"I believe it," Shiranui agreed.

“I agree too, poor pokemon.” Jen said as she felt sorry for that pokemon.

"I honestly don't know how I feel about that," Liam replied.

"Me neither," added Shiranui. He knew a lot of trainers had Pokémon who had been resurrected including himself and his friends and was puzzling over the ethical implications.

"Well, We can't really do much about it unless we encounter those two," Liam said. "We need to get going anyway."

Jen agreed and recalled her pokemon. The Galaian Ponytail look at the door than back Jen annd Aura, he ask if he could come with her. Jen heard him in her her head and throws it at the Ponytail. Thre Ponytail enters the Great and pings shut, Jen change out a Pokémon to fit Ponyta into her party.

Just outside the Pokémon Center, Liam's phone pinged as he had a challenge for the world coronation. A girl named Suzie was the challenger. Liam accepted the request and within a couple of minutes, a Rotom Drone flew down to watch the battle, stating that each trainer would use a single Pokémon. Beckham was Liam's chosen Pokémon, while Suzie sent out a Magnemite.
"Ladies first," Liam offered.
"Thundershock!" Suzie called after thanking Liam. Maganmeite unleashed a bolt of electricity on the fire rabbit.
"Beckham, Ember!" Liam called. Beckham kicked around a pebble with his feet for a moment before kicking it so hard that it became engulfed in flames, scoring a critical hit.
"Thunderbolt!" Suzie ordered.
"Kick the ground as hard as you can right in front of you!" Liam ordered. Beckham did so, forcing a chunk of ground to become airborne and block the electricity.
"Now, Lock on!" Suzie ordered. a reticle appeared on Beckham's forehead, indicating that the next move would be a guaranteed hit, providing that Beckham was still on the field next turn.
"Beckham, Flame Charge!" Beckham charged forward while engulfed in flames and tackled Maganemite, KO'ing it.
"Magnemite is unable to continue, Beckham wins. The victory goes to Liam Coleman! As of now, an update to rankings is now in effect." The Rotom Drone then flew off as Liam saw he now jumped up to 545.

Shiranui had also been challenged to a PWCS battle. His opponent had an Arctovish and Shiranui got to see an example of the conversation he had with Liam earlier. He sent out his Drizzile, Sogekishu, and the battle was on. Sogekishu had set up the dual screen combo consisting of Reflect and Light Screen all the while dodging several Freeze-Dry attacks from Arctovish and dealing back some damage through Bounce and Mud Shot. One Freeze-Dry did nail Sogekishu for a hit and the Drizzile was almost knocked out. Sogekishu got up and with fire in his eyes let off a bright glow, signifying an evolution was taking place. The Drizzile grew to twice his old height and gained a sail and membranes on his back. The glow subsided to reveal an Inteleon that Shiranui scanned with his phone. "Inteleon, the Secret Agent Pokémon. A Water type and the evolved form of Drizzile. Its nictitating membranes let it pick out foes' weak points so it can precisely blast them with water that shoots from its fingertips at Mach 3." As Arctovish readied another Freeze-Dry, the newly-evolved Sogekishu showed off a Sucker Punch that knocked Arctovish out. "Arctovish is unable to battle. The winner is Shiranui Tsukiko of Ecruteak City!" the Rotom Drone arbitrated, "Trainer Shiranui Tsukiko, your rank is now high enough to earn you a promotion to the Great Ball Class."

"Congrats on making it to Great Class, and congrats on your evolution, Sogekishu." Liam said with a thumbs up.

Jen and Aura watch their friends battle, “congrats to both to you.”

"Thanks," Liam said.

"Thank you," Shiranui added, recalling the newly-evolved Sogekishu. He had noticed on reading the Inteleon's Pokédex entry that Sogekishu stood a few inches shorter than his ace Pokémon.

"Well, I guess it's time for us to go to the next gym," Liam said.

Jen nods as she blush Aura is wondering if Jen have a love intrest in Liam or Shiranui.
