Jen made some change some things for the climbs ahead of them.

The heroes soon after started climbing the cliffs of the area. Dreepy was shyly floating behind Liam as he walked.

Shiranui spotted a shiny Axew striking a berry tree with its tusks to get a berry, only to get two. Axew spotted him and showed off its strength by crushing a Persim Berry with its tusks. "You must be strong to crush a Persim Berry," he commented. Axew beamed with pride, pointed to the other Persim Berry it procured and gave Shiranui a challenging look. Deducing what Axew was trying to communicate, Shiranui sent Ikari out. "Ikari, show Axew here your own strength," he called, "Give that Persim Berry a Body Slam!" The shiny Shelgon jumped into the air and used her spherical body to crush the Persim Berry in question, leaving a splattered mess both where it was and on Ikari's underside. Not taking being one-upped lying down, Axew charged at Ikari and gave the Shelgon a First Impression. "Ikari, give Axew a Dragon Pulse!" Ikari retaliated by conjuring an iridescent ball of energy and firing a dragon-shaped beam of energy, blasting Axew into exhaustion. "Great Ball, go!" Shiranui threw a Great Ball and the shiny Axew was drawn in. He waited with bated breath for the ball to stop shaking and after ten seconds, the Great Ball pinged a successful capture.

He named his new friend Ono and found out the shiny Axew was female and had the Mold Breaker ability. He puzzled over why every Pokémon he caught in Galar except for his Thievul was female; not counting Sogekishu as he was given to him as a starter.

Before too long, the heroes had climbed the cliffs. Liam heard what sounded like digging sounds ahead and figured it was that pair of researchers: Cara Liss and Bray Zenn he had heard about that created the mix-matched Pokemon he had heard about. However, what he found was Billie and Kidd in Archeologist uniforms emblazoned with a capital red "R". They had: a pair of Rhyperior, a Kantonian Sandslash, and an Excadrill, ransacking the area by digging many holes.
"What are you doing!?" Liam called out to them. "That many holes, you're make the ground unstable."
"It's the Dragon runt and his posse." Billie growled annoyed. "Rhyperior, Rock Blast!"
"Beckham, Double Kick! Duraladon, Dragon Pulse!" Liam sent out the two Pokemon, who deflected the attacks back at them. Kidd smirked as he pushed a button on a remote he had. a Pink energy shield spawned in front of the Rockets.
Billie sneered as she explained this was an experiental shield crafted by Dr. Nannab. He isolated the gene in Fairy-Types that granted them immunity to Dragon-Types and was able to create a shield with similar properties.
A Rotomphone that was a deep purple in color began to chirp. It floated up next to Billie and picked up the call. While the phone wasn't on speaker, the other line was so loud that they might as well have been. "IT'S 'NAMBA'!" The caller hung up right after shouting that sentence.

The Rockets only missed a beat from the random angry call. Billie remembered what she was about to say before the call and jumped back too it. She chuckled pointing at Liam's Z Power Ring. "Your precious Devestating Drake won't work this time." She then pulled down on her right eye as she stuck her tounge out at Liam. The Rocket duo was so busy cackling that they didn't notice Liam eject the Dragnium Z and slot in a different Z Crystal.
"Let's go Duraladon!" Liam said as he started striking poses. It wasn't until Liam was striking the final pose that Billie noticed Liam wasn't doing the poses the expected.
"Use Corkscrew Crash!" Durladon charged forward, slicing through the Fairy-like barrier and sent the Rockets with their Pokemon flying. As the flew off, they dropped a complete set of the Galar fossil pieces, which Between Liam and his two Pokemon who just fought off the Rockets, all four of the fossils were saved from being smashed on the ground.

"How is that Namba guy able to call someone right on cue?" Shiranui pondered out loud.

“They were expecting that call or it was part of the plan,” Jen said as she examines the fossils.

"Maybe he has some Psychic-types that keep tabs on Rockets he's given his stuff too," Liam suggested shrugging. "I'm more concerned with the fact that he's been using Pokemon as experiements in building tech." Liam decided to carefully wrap up the fossils for their protection. "These need to be taken somewhere safe. Maybe the Pewter City Meuseum, or possibly send them to Roxanne or Stephen in Hoenn. I bet any of them would appreciate these. Unless you guys want those mix-matched Pokemon from Cara Liss and Bray Zenn that is."

"I'm kind of interested in the bird and dinosaur fossils," Shiranui replied.

I’m interest in bird Pokémon,” Jen said but to her it be cool to find another aura user pokemon.

Liam handed over the fossils to his friends.

"Thanks," Shiranui said, pocketing the fossils and wondering what sort of mismatched Pokémon would be restored from those fossils.

“Thanks,” Jen said as she puts the fossil in her bag. Aura is wondering what kind of bird pokemon will be restore.

"Well, I guess we should find those two then," Liam replied.

"They're probably at the top of these cliffs," Shiranui speculated.

“I sense a odd energy on the top of the cliffs mayn’t a reserchs base is up there.” Jen said as she feels the ground move.

"Well, we have to go up there to get to the next gym anyway," Liam replied.
