Trish shook her head and said “come on…I don’t have scary dreams in here…I’m so tired…” she rolled over and didn’t seem like she wAnted to move an inch. Which was odd since she was a morning person

John stopped dead and went pale. “Wait…she’s still asleep? Serena looked at him and nodded. John cursed and closed his eyes. “Chas…was there a glow in my room when she went to bed?”

Josh rose an eyebrow at her relucatance to get up. Sure she could have days where she was an utter pain in his ass for getting up, but on the whole she was relatively easy to get out of bed. He pulled the blankets fully off of her and grabbed her gently, pulling her into him. "You can sleep in Chas' car when you go to his place with him, but you gotta get up kiddo" he told her, trying to ignore the aura in the room.

Chas and Kay looked between John and Serena at the initial question before Chas looked at JOhn solely and shrugging his shoulders. "I didn't particularly notice to be honest with you, I came down before Serena did and just paid no mind to the other rooms." he explained, now feeling a little bad that he didn't pay any attention to the others rooms. "Did you see any glow Serena?" he asked her.

Serena thought for a minute then said “last night when we went to bed I saw a blue glow under the door in the room. I figured it was a night light or something”

John cursed and booted for the stairs. “No? That was one of my charms to fight off nightmares. A side affect is it makes you want to keep sleeping till it shuts off. Josh! Get out of the room!”

Seeing John make a bolt for the staircase, Kay wondered what was happening to cause such an urgent reaction out of him. Hearing him shout up to Josh told Kay it was more urgent than they could have imagined, especially after he explained what it was. Josh heard John shout up and looked up, he didn't want to leave Trish but he also learned pretty quickly that if this group told him to do something, he should actually do it. Getting up onto his feet he reluctantly left the room and stood outside. "What's going on?" he asked when he saw John come into view.

John moved past Josh and picked Trish up. He held his hand up and chanted sharply. His hand glowed and the room seemed to pop and the aura was gone. John carried Trish out and said “she will be fine. Just needs to wake up now. It’s a charm that almost forces sleep at a certain time in the night. But I normally shut it off.”

John handed Trish to Josh and said “sorry, I forgot last night”

Josh waited for John to do what he needed to and when he brought Trish out in his arms, Josh audibly sighed with relief to see that although she was asleep, she was breathing and okay. He took his sister into his arms and nodded, "It's alright, I'm just glad that she's okay" he replied.

Downstairs, there was a knock on the door to which Kay went to the door and opened it cautiously just incase it was a threat but luckily for her it was the car hire driver. "We got the car you hired" he explained, handing her the keys and got her to sign all the contracts and waivers before leaving in his other vechile, letting Kay close the door behind her. "hire car is here!" she called out to everyone in the house.

John walked back down and Serena asked “is everything alright?” John nodded and said “ya, just a lower god charm not being handled right by me. Sorry for the trouble. Shall we get moving?” Serena frowned and then looked at Josh to check if Trish really was okay.

As John came back downstairs, Kay walked back into the main room to make sure she picked up what she felt she needed as well as putting her empty mug and bowl in the sink, washing it up quickly so it didn't stay on the side dirty for however long they'd be in Seattle. "pretty much yeah" she replied to him.

Josh gave John a nod of reassurance, "she's fine" he said back, to him, "you guys better get a head start, I'm sure me and Chas can deal with anything else" he

Serena sighed and nodded, not really wanting to leave them or josh himself now that they had started something. John headed for the door and said “let’s go girls, the forces of darkness and gods await us” Serena looked back at josh, a odd look in her eyes.

Kay put a reassuring hand on Serena's shoulder, before making her way to the front door. She could tell Serena was hesitant to leave Josh and Trish but she had faith they would be absolutely fine, especially as Chas will be looking after Trish at his home.

Josh looked at her, wondering what the look was for, "we'll be fine, go. Trish will be with Chas whilst I'm at work then I'll be bsck with her when I finish my shift" he reassured Serena. "he's right Serena, I'll get one of my cabby mates to bring him to my house if I can't go pick him up myself and Trish will always have at least one adult with her whilst she's at my place with Geraldine and Renee" Chas added.

Serena nodded and said “I know…sorry it’s just my protective side acting up. Having a wolf spirit inside makes me very protective of my pack…” she sighed then grabbed the bag they packed and headed to door.

Trish opened her eyes and muttered “kiss her goodbye you dork…”

Josh nodded in understanding at Serena's words and let her initially walk away to the front door when Trish woke up and muttered what she did. He rolled his eyes fondly at his sister and sat her on the worktop, going after Serena, "Serena wait up a second" he called after her, reaching her and placing his hand on her arm turning her to face him. "good luck out there" he said, sweeping her hair behind her left ear and then leaned in softly to kiss her softly and briefly before pulling away. "let me know when you're there so I know you're safe?" he asked.

Kay couldn't help but look behind her when Josh called after Serena and when she saw him kiss her, she smiled. Turning back to the front door where John still was, she waited next to him. "seems we're not the only ones hooking up" she whispered to John with a light chuckle.

John leaned on the car watching the couple and said “about time he made a move…”

Serena turned when he called her and when he kissed her she kissed him back till he pulled away. She nodded and said “I will…if anything seems off around you, just call Chas. If your in trouble, call Bane and touch a shadow…he will be able to find you”

Josh nodded at her advice, "I will I promise" he told her, "Now go before those two leave without you" he smirked, not thinking for an instant that John and Kay would actually go wihtout Serena, but it seemed the appropriate joke to make.

Kay smirked at John's words, "you saw how smitten he seemed to instantly be too huh?" she commented, twilring the car keys round on her fingers.

Serena smiled and kissed him again. She said softly “please be safe…” she then turned and headed down to the car, praying this wasn’t a bad idea to go.

John smirked snd said “since he saw her fight that monster at the morgue…like a puppy smitten”

Josh stayed behind but stood by the front door to watch them leave. He was more worried about the three of them being in Seattle, than he was about any of them who were staying behind.

Kay chuckled, "That he was" she agreed seeing Serena walk over to the car. "ready to go?" she asked Serena as she unlocked the car so they could chuck their lugguage in the trunk. "lets get our stuff in and head out" she added, pushing herself off the car side and walking to the back of the car, popping the trunk and putting her bag in it.

Serena put the bags in the car and jumped into the car. “Let’s get going” she waved at josh as they pulled away.

Trish stood next to Josh and said “your worried about her. What does your gut say about this mission?”

With everyone and everything in the car, Kay started the engine and set up her satnav on her phone, pulling out and away from John's place and began the long drive to Seattle.

Josh watched them leave and when Trish stood beside him, he put his arm round her, "to be honest I really don't know. I'm just hoping it will all go well for them" he replied to her.

Serena was in the back and looking out the window. “So what’s the plan?” John looked at her and said “we head to Seattle and find Kay’s sister then you snd I look into that god problem while Kay talks to her sister”

As the two of them discussed the plan that they had so far, Kay focused on the driving out of town and following the satnav. She felt a small pang of guilt making both John and Serena go to look into the god vessel problem on their own, but she knew she had to check in on Sam alone and make sure she was safe, whilst hoping that the demons and downworld creatures that were hunting her, wouldn't find her in Seattle and follow her.

"I'll meet up with you two as soon as I can, I just need to know Sam is safe first" she finally spoke up.
