Finally cobbled something together. Here's my character sheet so far, if you want to take a look!

Currently, this is basically a rough draft of my character, just to show what I've got down on a mechanical level. Let me know if you have any comments/concerns or if there's something that needs to be fixed. I don't really have anything written down in terms of fluff or flavor beyond the basics at the moment, but I plan on refining some of the finer points tomorrow.

Leave it to me to make a character who's meant to be able to survive the harsh, frozen lands of Icewind Dale and still manage to forget to give him cold resistant clothing, haha... Once I fix that, unless there's something else I forgot to note down, I plan on fleshing out his backstory some. I'll let everybody know when he's good to go.

Unfortunately just about everybody I know's not really too keen on play-by-post, but I'll ask around and see if anybody might be interested.

It's not the most popular way for D&D. While I tend to prefer in person, or via discord or other service for when myself or my friends are unable to travel, play by post is helping scratch that D&D itch I've had for awhile now.

That's how i feel as well, although our current DM is on a D&D break and will not tell us why, i have a feeling he is gonna quit playing, which sucks, cause he's a damn good DM.

Should have mentioned this before but only two towns have walls, Bryn-Shander and Targos.

@The Large Dumbo is your character referring to the walls of the houses or referring to walls of the settlement? Good Mead has no perimeter walls.

Don't tell Kythor that - you'll shatter his whole worldview! You see, it's not about the physical walls that keep us in, but the, uh, metaphysical walls that surpass the material plane. The walls of... of friendship and... and cliques. Yeah, that's it.

On a serious note though, duly noted. Will edit my post accordingly! I should also mention that I'm not too familiar with the campaign setting, so feel free to call me out for any other presumptions or mistakes I might make.

I was referring to the perimeter walls earlier. I guess when I wrote the original post, I could've talked about how the walls of the houses made him feel claustrophobic, but for some reason I guess I was just really hung up on the idea of a perimeter wall getting to him, haha.
