[IC] The Academy

Lauren sat on the steps of the Academy, waiting for the students that would come on the trucks. Her brown hair blew in the light wind, and her green eyes peered out to the gates. She knew there would be new students coming, the Administration had told her they would be. They would receive a letter to come to the Academy as a prep school for people like themselves. They would come on the trucks, and enter, not knowing what lay behind the old oaken doors of the Academy

Caleb walked up the steps, noticing Lauren. "Hi there," he said, grinning slightly.

Lauren saw the boy approaching and with dread she knew that the Administration had started sending people to the Academy, "Hello, I'm Lauren." she said, "The Academy is not what you think it is, actually far from it." she started out, "You won't be allowed out...ever." she said, and waited for his reaction.

Caleb blinked, running his hand through his hair. "What...? Why not, Laurie?" he asked, smiling at his nickname for her.

Nacine carefully approaches, looking around. There's a faint mischievous glint in her eyes.

Caleb would notice, give her a wave and a smile, then turn back to Lauren.

Lauren sighed and explained the whole story, "You each have to join a faction." she finished. She waited for the shock to register on their faces.

Aloria, or Lori for short, had finally left her life as a abandoned church child and was now going into her new school. She nervously got out of the trucks and headed towards the entrance of the academy.

Lauren saw all the new arrivals and straightened up, she stood and waited for all of them to get here and explain everything. She hoped there wouldn't be a riot or anything and that the factions would form smoothly. She stood on the top step in a white blouse and black jeans waiting for them all to assemble

Roxy climbed out of the truck glad to be able to stretch her legs. She rolled her eyes at the building she had been taken to. She didn't know how her dad could think this would be a good place to finish her education. But if this is what it took to be out in line to take over the gang then she would do it. There were several students gathered in front. Roxy figured she might as find out what the deal was.

Lori followed the rest of the new students and gathered around this girl who seemed like she had been there already.

Lauren saw the few students that had arrived and took a deep breath, "So, you were probably all sent here and didn't want to come. You probably all think this is some stupid prep school. You probably all think there are boring teachers and boring schedules waiting for you beyond that door," she said and gestured behind her with her thumb. "Well, you're wrong. Here at the Academy there are no teachers just us and the Administration. The Administration founded the school and makes the rules. There are three factions for you to choose from, the Halcyon, the Sedition, and the Savant. They all come with their own jobs and responsibilities." She looked at their faces then kept talking, "I'm the leader of the Halcyon, and we need two people to head the Savant and Sedition." With that Lauren explained what each faction did ((see in OCC)).

"I know this sounds bad, but you can't get out. If anyone tries to escape they are sent to Detention immediately, and..." she paused, "well, after detention you won't attend the Academy anymore. But, don't worry there are still fun things to do, there's paintball and capture the flag every week." she sighed, she hated breaking the news to the new kids. With a deep breath she said with a feeble smile, "Welcome to the Academy."

Vincent had arrived in good time to hear a speech of someone who he didn't much care about, he stared with crossed arms as she spoke about the three factions he couldn't wait to see which one suited him best. After all Vince wasn't a nice guy and even through there were not there by choice Vincent wasn't going to make the others life easy ether, after all he was much more happier when he was torturing others. He looked around the group of new students none in practically jumped out for him, 'how disappointing' he thought along with bullying he did love to play with others minds and he was looking for his next 'target' he has a shit life why should he make anyone else's better?

Amy yawned and stretched as she lent on one of the walls to the Academy she was already bored of what was being said and she hadn't even been entered the building yet. What she hated practically was the fact of 'no escape' 'we shall see' she thought with a smirk. "So what know" She shouted up to the girl seeing as she finished talking.

Lauren looked down, "Well, you either join me in Halcyon, or join the Sedition or Savant. The ones who form the Sedition and Savant should appoint a leader, I'll give them a map showing you where your rooming is, then you'll settle in. My name's Lauren, by the way." she said and smiled tiredly, "Savant to the right, Sedition to the left, please"

Rolling her eyes Roxy headed to the left. The sedition sound like it would be the one that fit her personality and goals. She wondered who would appoint themselves leader of the group. She thought about it. She might. It would show her dad that she did have the leadership skills to lead his gang.

Lauren noted the first girl to join the Sedition. She had guessed so, her dark, gothic clothing had made her a predictable candidate for it. She waited to see where the others would go.

Zane stepped away from one of the trucks that arrived in front of the Academy. Then proceeded to step smoothly, up to a gathering around a girl who seemed to be the leader.

He managed to catch a good bit of what she was saying, and it sounded as if there where different sections of this school. He waited until she was finished talking, "Thank you very much for the information. I'm sure it will prove useful." Then proceeded to took a good look at what everyone looked like and kept it as a mental note. Without another word he headed to the right towards 'The Savant' H.Q..

Lori couldn't believe what she had heard, she got scared easily so this put her over the roof. Shaking a bit she followed the Lauren girl and stuck to the nice people. Maybe she could make friends and not be targeted.

Lauren saw another boy step over to the Savant area and noted his polite speech, "You're welcome, here are the Savant papers, if more join you should all appoint a leader over yourselves." She handed papers to the other girl who had walked to Sedition, "Here are the Sedition papers, appoint a leader over yourselves if more arrive." she went back up to the steps and waited for more students to come, to direct them to where they needed to go.

Lori sighed nervously before stepping up to Lauren. She was looking at Lauren's shoes and basically whispered what she was saying. "U-Umm may I please get the Halcyon papers?".
