The Great Gus

Gus smirked in amusement as he followed the redhead to the fire. ”Well, it did not sound like a refusal of my offer.” He laid the back of his hand on his forehead as he tried his hardest to be dramatic. ”And what a terrible curse, to fall for a beautiful lady. How cruel the world could be.”

He found a quiet spot near the fire, staring into the flickering flames with a pensive expression. Is this really going to help me find them? Perhaps he did not want to believe it but their task might be a lot bigger than his own little search.

Gus sighed as he ran his fingers through his disheveled hair as he whispered softly to himself. ”What are you up to, old man? Getting involved with the Emperor, Dragonian tombs, and a secret club... you never did things the simple way, did you? With all the things you do, you make me look like an amateur.” His gaze remained fixated on the flames, the dancing shadows soothing his mind.

”Just know that I am not going to be a part of your party.” He shrugged. ”I work the best solo, and the main reason I’ll tag along is just because it helps me out as well for the time being.” He tried not to show any of his actual emotions on the matter. ”Well that, and the company of a beautiful lady is never a bad thing either.”
