I'm currently looking to start a 1x1 arranged marriage roleplay. Below are a few plot ideas that I think could lead to some exciting and dynamic storytelling. I'm open to tweaking any of these ideas or brainstorming new ones together!
Plot Ideas
(Small update: I forgot to include that I typically prefer to play the male role in a MxF pairing but I won't turn down a good FxF pairing, MxM is just not my jam - I have a hard time writing it, sorry!)
1. CLOSED Modern Corporate Merger: In a bid to save their struggling companies, two powerful CEOs arrange a marriage between their children. While they are both successful in their own right, their personalities couldn't be more different. Can they find common ground and make their partnership work, both in business and in their personal lives?
2. Historical Drama: Set in the 19th century, two old friends arrange a marriage between their children. One needs to marry off his high-spirited daughter, while the other desperately needs his son to produce an heir for their title. The son, initially a second son, now finds himself the heir after his older brother's unexpected death. As they navigate the pressures of their new roles and family expectations, they must also learn to understand and support each other in their unique challenges.
3. Knocked Up: High school is ending and the escape from crushing small town life grinds to a halt when one kid learns the one night stand he had at a graduation party is pregnant with his child. Will he do the "right thing" or act like he doesn't know what she's talking about? How does this impact his life and that of the girl he got pregnant? Can they make their family work? (I have other variations of unexpected pregnancy if this one doesn't suit)
4. The Runaway: Escaping the confines of her small-town life, a recent high school graduate runs to the bustling streets of New York, where she meets a charming college dropout musician who opens her eyes to the vibrant, unfiltered world around her. Their whirlwind romance ignites a passion she never knew she craved, but everything changes when she discovers she’s pregnant. As she grapples with this unexpected turn, will the musician stand by her side, or will she find herself drawn back to her childhood best friend—the one who has always loved her from afar? With two very different paths before her, she must decide who truly holds her heart and what kind of life she wants to build for herself and her child.
5. The Affair: As their marriage hangs by a thread, a woman finds herself in a whirlwind affair that leads to an unexpected pregnancy. With her husband deployed and unaware of her betrayal, the stakes rise when the man from her affair, also married, urges her to handle the situation on her own. Now, faced with the reality of bringing a child into a broken marriage, she must confront her husband with the truth. Can she ask him to stay and support her through this monumental decision, even if the child isn’t his? In a situation that should tear them apart, can they find their way back to each other?

Rules
- Writing Level: I consider myself a casual to advanced roleplayer and expect the same from my partner. Detailed and immersive posts are what I aim for, focusing on character development and story progression.
- Post Frequency: I have a life outside of roleplaying and while I may be online every day, I will likely post 2-3 times per week. I appreciate patience and will offer the same in return.
- OOC Chat: I love out-of-character chat, whether about the roleplay or just friendly conversations. Let's keep the communication open!
- Age Requirement: I will only roleplay with people who are 18+ as I am in my mid-30s. This is non-negotiable for comfort and maturity reasons.
- Commitment: If you're no longer feeling the roleplay, that's perfectly fine, but please let me know so I can look for a new partner. I will extend the same courtesy to you.
