DAYZ Entertainment Headquarter

The office was buzzing with excitement. Lauren Chen, the current CEO of DAYZ Entertainment, brought in donuts and other baked treats to celebrate the good news. The other employees were laughing and chatting freely, and there were even some whispers about potential bonuses. This was a brief celebration, a well-deserved break before the chaos that was going to follow the success.

EVE had gone viral. While they weren’t unpopular before, this was different. Everyone all around the globe was listening to their latest single. Even their older songs were gaining traction because people now knew who EVE were. Their rise wasn’t dissimilar to that of BTS; it took a couple years but now that they finally caught that spark, and the flame was spreading faster than they could have even imagined.

This was also DAYZ’s first girl group that has reached this level of recognition. So appropriate actions had to be taken to capitalize on their current hype and to secure their status as global superstars. To ensure this, the CEO had called for a meeting with the members of EVE and their manager to go over next steps and to, of course, congratulate the girls on their success.

The members of EVE were already seated patiently, when the CEO came in. She was an attractive woman, in her late-forties but she could easily pass for a thirty year old. Her long black hair was tied in a neat bun with not a single strand out of place. Her make up was simple and professional. She was wearing an expensive looking white blouse and black dress pants.

“Congratulations, EVE! You girls have exceeded our expectations,” Lauren said with an award-winning grin that didn’t quite reach her eyes. The CEO had a habit of keeping her true feelings concealed behind a warm facade. “That being said, this is only the start and we still have a lot of work to do to ensure your future here with DAYZ. I did want to let you girls know that we are going to work on an exciting announcement.”

Lauren glanced at each of the girls individually in a dramatic pause before making her big announcement. “EVE is going on a world tour! We’re going to have our first show here in New York. From there, we will go to Europe and Asia before coming back to the Americas!”

Without even waiting for the girls’ reactions, Lauren continued, “Anyway, we will have press conferences to announce this to the rest of the world tomorrow. For today, celebrate and rest up. Don’t go too crazy though. I’ll let your manager fill you in on the rest of the details tomorrow morning before the conference.” With a wave of a hand, the girls were dismissed and shuffled out of the meeting room.

Their manager stepped out for a second to answer a phone call, leaving the girls alone to process the news and potentially debrief.

Charlotte didn’t move right away. The words repeated in her mind. A world tour. She was actually doing it. She was going to be an idol.

She exhaled slowly through her nose, then stood. Her chair slid in neatly behind her in one controlled motion. She smoothed her skirt, more out of habit than necessity, and glanced toward the door where the CEO had exited.

A world tour meant more than stages. It meant press. Which meant more interviews, more cameras, and more questions. More chances for something to go wrong.

She adjusted a strand of hair near her temple, ensuring it fell exactly where it was supposed to. “New York first…” she murmured. “Press conferences tomorrow.” That was sooner than she would have preferred. “They’ll want reactions,” she said after a moment. “Excitement, mostly. Probably a lot of questions about what comes next.”

Her gaze dipped briefly to her reflection in the polished table. Still perfect. “…Congratulations,” she added gently, as if the thought had only just occurred to her.

Amélie sat at the boardroom table, her left leg bouncing up and down. Amélie wasn't the biggest fan of offices and conferences rooms, they felt suffocating and made her feel as if she was waiting to be told off for some reason or another although the girl wasn't sure why. Admittedly the last thing she expected to be involved in being a performer was the amount of corporate meetings she'd be stuck in. She looked around at all of her fellow idols around the table, she swore they all seemed somewhat more composed than her, or at least were better at pretending. Her long, multi-coloured hair was thrown back into a half bun half ponytail, her fingers played at the ends. It felt like forever before the CEO, who Amélie internally dubbed The Stiff strided into the room.

EVE's rise to fame wasn't exactly news. As much as she wouldn't admit it, as she was sure it seemed tacky, Amélie had been watching their progress closely. Well, at least what was publically available. Chart rankings both in the US and internationally, spotify and apple music listens, public idol forums. She found herself glancing at all of them more often than she'd admit. C'était rapide [That was quick] she thinks to herself as The Stiff rattled off EVE's near future plans. As much as she wished there was some discussion or lead up to the world tour it was the logical next step. Being paid to travel and perform was always a dream of hers, it was insane that this was already her life.

"Tomorrow..." she repeated to herself at the mention of the upcoming oress conference, that felt like not enough time to prepare. Although Lumi was a facade she could use to not overthink so much and just say the first things that come to mind, albeit maybe dumbed down a little, that didn't mean she enjoyed going into these things blind. Charlotte, who Amélie internally nicknamed Chichi (Amélie had unspoken nicknames for all her idolmates too), seemed to also be lost in the rapid progression of things.

Before there was any more time to process the group were quickly ushered out of the conference room as DAYZ CEO's full attention went elsewhere as if EVE weren't quickly becoming their most promising clients. Amélie sighed, maybe this was why the place felt suffocating- everything was professional, clinical, devoid of emotion when it came to meetings with the Stiff.

Amélie glanced around her idolmates, how were they feeling about this? What emotions and reactions could she pick up on to emulate? She tried to push those thoughts out. After all the time she's been in EVE she would've thought she wouldn't be so scared of having differing opinions, yet here she was unsure what to say. She decided to take the easy road and forgo talking about her thoughts on it all altogether. "So... how do we want to celebrate?"

Zee hummed softly to herself, her foot tapping out a steady rhythm beneath the table as her fingers idly adjusted her straw. She took slow, measured sips, watching Lauren with a half-attentive smirk that suggested she was only half-listening—though in truth, she missed very little. Lauren was a riveting woman. She had climbed high in the music industry, and fast, all while keeping her cards tucked neatly to her chest. That alone made her just as interesting as the other women surrounding Zee. They had written songs, performed on stages, built something real together and yet, each of them revealed only fragments. Small tells. Fleeting expressions. Zee found that… entertaining. It was always a game. But the moment the words world tour left Lauren’s mouth, everything stopped. Zee’s foot stilled mid-tap. Her eyes widened just slightly.

”Да! Наконец-то! Мы это сделали!”

The words slipped out before she could stop them, her smile breaking wide with genuine, unfiltered excitement. For a brief moment, she forgot herself forgot the mask, the control, the constant awareness. Then she caught it. A soft cough followed as she straightened, her composure slipping back into place with practiced ease. The smile softened, refined into something more measured. More controlled. This was it. Beyond exciting. They were going to be idols. This was the final wall she needed to build security, visibility, protection. A place where no one could touch her, where she could finally rest behind the safety of fame, wealth, and everything she had worked toward.

…Wasn’t it? Her expression faltered, just for a moment. Her fingers drifted absentmindedly toward her forearm, a quiet sigh slipping past her lips.

No.

That wasn’t entirely true. She wanted them in it. This wasn’t just her escape—it was their dream too. Her jaw tightened slightly as she forced the thought down, burying it where it couldn’t surface. Where it wouldn’t complicate things. Just whispers in the corners of her mind. Zee rose smoothly to her feet, posture straight and composed once more, a playful smirk returning as she stepped closer to the table. Her hands folded neatly behind her back as she leaned in just slightly, reclaiming her presence.

“That,” she hummed, voice light but confident, “is the best question anyone could have asked.” Instead of taking a chair, she perched casually on the edge of the table, brushing her hazelnut hair over her shoulder as her gaze flicked between the girls. “We could celebrate. Something small just us, back at the house.” She gave a small shrug. “We’ve worked hard enough to earn at least that much.” A faint grin tugged at her lips.

“Invite a few close friends, maybe go out after… a club, somewhere loud.” She tilted her head slightly. “Just know, I’m calling dibs on most of the alcohol.” Her tone carried a teasing edge, light and effortless. Her gaze shifted toward Charlotte, giving a small nod. “Char’s right. We’ve got interviews coming up… and I am not about to become a meme this early in my career.” A quiet chuckle escaped her as she slipped off the table, smoothing her outfit absentmindedly. “So,” she added, arching a brow as she glanced between them, “maybe we keep it a little contained?” A beat. “Just in case we get carried away.”

She was only half paying attention to anything else that had been said up until the point where Lauren mentioned them going on a world tour. Snapping up to see if she had actually heard that, because everything was moving so fast now in her eyes. Sure, they had been working on trying to hit it big for a while now, and suddenly here they were, actually going on tour. It was insane and something she was trying to wrap her head around.

"Wow," was the only thing she really managed to say as she started going through the possibilities of things through her mind, how things would go from that point forward.

The next day was going to truly start with all of the chaos. They didn't even have a full day to figure out what was going to happen with this or anything. If the announcement was going to happen so soon, she would have thought that maybe they'd give them a little more time to figure things out. Raine wasn't entirely sure she was ready for this at all, and a small part of her was sort of panicking a bit at the thought, before she shook herself out of that thought process. That was not how her mindset was going to go, not right now, there wasn't any time to really panic or freak out about it.

No, despite her initial panic over it, the more she thought about it, the more excited she became at the thought of it all.

With Lumi and Zee talking about celebrating, she gave them a bit of a smile, "I'm all for finding a way to celebrate, we do have to think this through though, since no matter what we do we're going to be in the spotlight soon, so maybe trying not to completely go wild is the right call," she said, unable to hold back her own giggles over the meme comment. "But let's go! We're actually going on tour, this will definitely be an adventure I say."

FØXY

Even before Lauren had walked into the room, Foxy already had a feeling what this meeting was going to be about. Everyone, and she meant everyone was talking about EVE lately, so it was only natural that DAYZ would want to take advantage of their rise. But like the rest of her peers, she instantly perked up at the mention of a world tour. A world tour so soon was way beyond Foxy's imagination. She had expected a domestic tour and maybe a few collabs with some big companies, but a world tour? She had to give Lauren her props for being such an opportunistic capitalist. At least it benefitted them.

Foxy gave Charlotte a gentle smile after she had so softly congratulated them all for their recent success. Foxy could tell that the Pink Princess already had her hamster wheel spinning, trying to calculate the best way to act in front of the media. Meanwhile the other girls were already making plans on celebrating, causing Foxy to squeal alongside them with excitement.

"Well duh, Zee. You and Lottie are the only ones legally allowed to drink. The rest of us will have to settle for apple cider," Foxy couldn't help but joke. She had to admit that she was amused by the idea of sneaking out and being bad before their big announcement even if it would probably give their manager an aneurysm. "Imagine we get cancelled for sneaking into a club because most of us are underaged."

And of course on that note, their manager came back and gave Foxy his usual disapproving look to which she flashed back an innocent grin. "Ahem... you girls are free to do what you want, but I do want to remind you all that tomorrow will be a very big day. So please, I beg of you, refrain yourselves," he said with another glance at Foxy.

"You are dismissed for today. I will be sending the car to your house at 8 am sharp tomorrow. We will do hair, costume, and make up at the studios so just be awake and hopefully not hungover. We are still working out all the finer details of the tour, so I'll give you all more information tomorrow while we are setting up."

With that, the manager left to handle more preparation for their press conference, leaving the girls to their own devices for the rest of the day.

"So.... how about something simple? Like our favorite takeout, ice cream, and a movie?"

Amélie shot Mademoiselle Fougueux (Foxy) a small thankful smile at her movie suggestion, even if it was purely to satisfy the disapproving glance from The Stick (stick up the butt seemed too wordy for their manager). Amélie wasn't all that keen on going out and partying tonight, she wasn't a big party person currently. Maybe it was the massive amount of parties the group attended already (single releases, album celebrations, premieres- the lists were getting endless) or that drinking seemed a massive enticer to these parties but the young woman was nowhere near old enough to drink and celebrity events where eyes and cameras were fixed on the girls was the best place to break that law. Especially when trying to uphold the picture of innocence when the Lumi mask was on. Or maybe all the corporate talk was just draining to her.

Then again maybe Lumi liked partying even while staying sober. Amélie was still figuring that out. She didn't know if knowing her real self or her alter ego was harder let alone where one ended and the other began. "Sounds like we have a lot of big si-" Amélie is quickly reminded of the English penchant to use words with th and how that was a sound she was still yet to successfully use. She quickly switches words- "-times to come. And lots of parties in countries we can all drink. A quiet celebration sounds very good,".

She tucked some long strands of hair that had come loose behind her ear, doing the motion 3 times to make sure they stayed in place. "So... home?" she offers, trying to encourage her team to move. She was ready to get out of this place. Preferably then into her bed but the couch would have to do.

Charlotte looked at Foxy, and a small smile formed on her lips. “That sounds ideal,” she said softly. She smoothed her skirt once more. Takeout, ice cream, and a movie. Something small and private between them. No Papparazzi. No stans analyzing their every move. They could just exist for a moment.

“No cameras. No tabloids. No one accidentally becoming tomorrow morning’s headline,” she added lightly. She looked towards the others. “Just us sounds nice. I think we’ve earned something simple.” She made the heart gesture with her hands. It was usually something reserved for the stage, but it felt appropriate now.

Talk about the celebration continued, but of course their manager just had to say something. That was rude, at least in her eyes, having to be a bit of a spoil sport over it. Shouldn't they be allowed to have some fun? Then again, she hated to admit it but the point about them losing it all over something so soon after they just really got started? She just hated the thought. With talks about staying in instead of heading out, it made her think that they might not have too many chances to do something quiet for a while.

"Simple is fine, and considering how much noise and all is going to be buzzing around us after tomorrow, might be a little bit before we can do that sort of thing again," she said, deciding to say what was going through her own head out loud. She still wasn't entirely sure she was mentally prepared for what was to come starting the next day, but at least there was a little bit of time yet. "Let's head back then. What movie do you guys want to watch?"

FØXY

"Home," Foxy said, looping her arms with Lumi as she noticed the young girl trying to get them on the move. While it would have been fun to go out, all Foxy needed was right there. Foxy will always be grateful for EVE for bringing them together. Where else would a group of girls so different with such diverse backgrounds get together? Even if she joked about partying, the rest of the girls would know that Foxy would never do anything that would risk any negative attention on the group because she loved them all too much. Even if it meant, hiding parts of herself from them and the rest of the world.

As they walked to the elevator and eventually reach their car, Foxy was brainstorming potential movie ideas aloud."Hm... I'm always down for Step it Up or Legally Blonde. Or, or, or maybe the original Scream movie would be fun! Nothing that'll make me cry though. I do not want to have puffy red eyes for the press conference."

Their ride was an unassuming but large three-row SUV. There were plenty of space for all five of the girls to fit. Fortunately, their driver was already there waiting for them so they were able to climb in and be on their way. The traffic was horrible, as it always was in the city, but the girls were able to distract themselves with idle chatter about their movie night and their world tour announcements.

Speaking of world tour, the first person Foxy wanted to let know was her best friend, Lily, from her Dance Academy days. They weren't going to have time to discuss the news in person, so she texted Lily to let her know that she had big news and to call her later that night before bed.

After about 45 minutes or so, the girls were back at their home. "I'll doordash the food and snack if you guys want to set everything else up!" Foxy said as they walked through the front door.

Amélie felt herself stiffen slightly as Foxy linked an arm in hers. Amélie wasnt used to friends or any sort of physical affection from anyone really and although she'd been in EVE for a couple of years she still was getting used to how affectionate some of the girls could be. She attempted relax her body, assuming she knew that her reaction might make the others think of her oddly or scare them away from showing her any form of care.

"No scary movies tonight or I won't sleep well enough for tomorrow!" she half jokes in response to Foxy's offers. "But a- what do you call film pour nanas. Girls movie?-" she pauses for a moment as she tries to find the slang term she had heard a few times but is unable to grasp it. She shrugs it off and hopes the girls caught her drift. "Whatever you call it, they sound like a good idea,"

As soon as they good to the house Amélie beelined for her room to get into something comfier- as was custom for her. Even though she hadn't dressed up the way she would going out as Lumi, her jeans had nothing in terms of comfort when compared to her pyjamas. She also desperately needed to swap her contacts for her thick rimmed glasses. After getting changed she had a debate with herself about starting her meticulous skincare routine now but ultimately ruled it'd be better to do after the movie. Instead she pulled some extra blankets and pillows out of the linen cupboard and returned back to the rest of the group as they flicked through movies. She set the extra supplied in a neat stack on the side of one of the couches and sat herself on the floor.

"Have we chosen what to watch yet?" she asks.
