Hey everyone! Like the title says, I'm somebody who used to frequent this site a long time ago and finally decided to get back into a hobby I've really, really been missing. Lately I've been feeling a strong pull to roleplay, to write, and of course to collaboratively storytell. I remembered how much I genuinely enjoyed this place in my teenage years and figured, what the hell? I'm 28 now, and when I went looking for my old account I learned about the Guildfall and everything that came with it. Unfortunately I can't for the life of me remember what my old account was even called, so I figured this was the perfect chance at a fresh start.
You can call me Byte, and I am extremely excited to get back into things over here!
I tend to have a decent amount of free time during my workday to write, and I'd love to jump into the roleplays happening around here. This place was such a source of joy, fun, and creative inspiration back in the day. I enjoy pretty much every genre: fantasy, mystery, sci-fi, horror, you name it. That said, I lean toward settings with power systems, since the mechanics themselves can tell really fun and interesting stories about the characters. What I'm craving most is something with narrative freedom built on a few firm rules, structured enough to keep things balanced, but loose enough that players can find real creative freedom inside those restrictions. If that sounds like something you're running, point me at your interest checks! I usually write a few solid paragraphs per post, so Casual to Advanced is my home.
