The Justice League has seen better days. With Green Lantern off world, Aquaman tending to Atlantis, and the Flash busy with his Rogues in Central City... the League is down to almost half of it's membership. And this is not the first time something like this has happened. Batman begins assembling a team of young metahumans and vigilantes not already associated with one of the big guns of the Justice League to train with the League to become the next line of defense. Robin, Kid Flash, and Superboy were all left out for a reason. As Batman assembles the team, Superman loses control of his mind to an unknown threat making the most powerful hero in the universe our first enemy. In an original take on the young heroes of the DCU, we will build heroes from the ground up and over the course of the RPG evolve their powers and abilities to become members of the Justice League in the near future. Basically it's something like building a character in the world of DCUOnline, only instead of joining a players' online team we'll actually have League membership within our grasps.

Other teen heroes usually associated with cannon DC Comics material either haven't existed yet or are waiting to be reimagined by players. Originals are also welcome or you can simply base a hero on something in cannon. For example my plant manipulator will be a former lab assistant of Pamela Isley [Poison Ivy] and have ties to Gotham.

Right now I've got at least 2 or 3 interested players already working on some Character Sheets/stats. I'll keep up with everyone's stats with my stat cards and edit them when players level up and post them in the eventual OOC if we can get a few more people in on this. I chose Superman to fight as a boss character in the beginning to show how a character with multiple powers and abilities would translate into the RPG. The stats aren't there to show who's necessarily the strongest or fastest physically, honestly we probably won't fight each other unless somebody wants to do a quick battle for 'training.' Everyone will begin with Level 1 stats, and the only other info I need for the cards is the name, alias, age, and powers/abilities. Try to simplify any long winded power descriptions and simply work them out in your attacks and defense moves lists over the course of the game. If anyone needs help doing the stats just let me know. I'll post something for Superman's soon as an example.

So... who's ready to kick Superman's ass?

Here's an example of a stat card. Superman, although he should be a Level 15 or 20, is a Level 10 enemy with only a few of his powers and abilities shown in his attacks and defenses lists. This should show that even if you have a ton of powers, unless you place the stat points in attack or defense, you can only use the attacks and defenses listed while in battle. Superman is in the second strength class and in the second or third speed class. Had he been a Level 15 or 20 he'd have had the freeze breath and other classic attacks.
