Personality: Iktomi doesn't feel anything towards people, with a couple rare exceptions. He views them as pawns to be used to further his own goals, and will move them as he pleases without a care for what befalls them. This ruthless nature is disguised behind a mask of emotion, one that he wears flawlessly. He abstains from being direct in his intentions, covering them in a series of elaborate lies. He weaves a web of misdirection around him at all turns, adding to it's complexity so that it becomes more and more difficult to see through it the longer he continues it.
In the presence of one of the few people he actually cares for he allows his true emotions to show. He refuses to include them in his game without their knowledge. He trusts them to be able to use their own mind to assist him, when it is needed. They are his knights, rooks, and bishops. He has nothing to hide from this people, for he knows that they are already aware of how he treats others. Even when they don't approve, they still keep him in their lives.
Bio: Iktomi was brought up in a less than desirable home. The most 'love' he got from his parents was when they were in public. As they were both professors in the College of Argos they had to maintain a certain image, which required people to believe that they gave a damn about their only son. While this had an adverse effect on his emotional development, it actually forced him to become even more intelligent than he would have been. Even though they had the money to, his parents refused to get someone to look after him when they were a way and as such he quickly learned how to live on his own.
There was only one constant in his life back than, his 'friend' Arianna. At the start though they were more rivals than anything else. She was at the top of their class, which caused Iktomi quite a bit of annoyance since she was a year younger than him. Throughout their younger years this annoyance caused him to bully her, which she returned in kind. He just could not accept the fact that she was as intelligent as he was. This continued through their elementary years. However as they reached middle school their relationship began shifting. The hostility that had permeated their younger years vanished, replaced with something just above indifference. They were polite to one another both at school and at their joined family dinners. This confused Iktomi originally, but soon he realized that it was not something he could analyze and break down. As High School reared its ugly head, the two found their relationship changing once more, evolving into full out friendship due primarily to the fact they shared many classes. However his life at home was progressing in the opposite direction. His parents no longer had to pretend in public, as they simply left him at home. They became more and more distant until it came to the point that they were never home anymore. Strangely enough Iktomi did not even care at this point.
Towards the end of 9th grade he found himself growing closer to Arianna, but he was not allowed time to give this new development much thought as his focus was forced on the fact that he would be graduating at the end of the school year. The teachers had conceded that there was nothing else they could teach him. With this news his parents informed him that he would be moving out as soon as graduation was finished. He couldn't bear to inform Arianna of this, and as such he made an arrangement with the Head Master to let him skip graduation and just give him his diploma.
Iktomi has since been living in Sovereign, growing more and more manipulative over the years.

Personality: Ishigo knows only one true ally: silence. He views the world with mysterious eyes, always in deep thought regardless of what he is doing. His peers, all belonging in the Golden mercenaries, tell him his mind is rarely on Aeros, although he is somehow able to accomplish anything with full focus. It isn't absent mindedness, no, rather, it is a very peculiar sense of passive interaction. He is the type to learn through observation and patience. Lots and lots of patience. However, under his mysterious demeanor is a very caring side, devoted solely to the well being of the innocent. Justice is his weapon, silence is his ally, and peace is his motive. Ishigo invigorates a sense of discipline and tranquility in those around him and is known to be great and understanding the intent and emotions of the subjects of his interaction.
Bio: Ishigo didn't cry at birth. Nor did he shed a tear at his mother's death. His father never spoke to him for the sheer joy of speaking to his beloved son. No, Ishigo's father knew off the bat that Ishigo was mature far beyond his age. Instead of neglecting his son, Ishigo's father's choice to remain passive during his growth was more of a respectful notion. Everyone - "friends" and teachers alike - knew he was different. Strange, almost. But Ishigo didn't mind, in fact, he loved the peace it brought him. He didn't have to worry about drama, pain, loss, or anything. He simply did his duties and made sure those around him never strayed into harm. His father, despite being judged for not interacting with his son enough, actually had a strong pride of his progeny. Ishigo knew this and respected his father the same.
If there was one friend that Ishigo ever truly had, it was Hector Esteves., whom he had known since birth. It was this friendship that led to Ishigo's decision to informally join the Golden Mercenaries, which were run by Hector's brother. Ishigo, at age 8, boarded Hector's shuttle to Sovereign, where he enlisted in the Y.D.A (Youth Disciplinary Academy). The academy was designed to nurture young boys into disciplined young men, and eventually, into mature, capable individuals of the world. Hector and Ishigo both spent their time training and advancing through ranks, until Hector eventually dropped out to officially join the Golden Mercenaries with his brother. Ishigo was neither disappointed or proud of the choice, as he had hoped to graduate together, but eventually, he too left the academy in order to peacefully wander around Sovereign, an unspoken vigilante. His friendship with Hector provided him with a shelter at the Golden Mercenary base, but he spent most of his time roaming the rooftops, observing the living, breathing city, and doing what he could to keep it safe,

Kage Name: Jin
Kage Primary Power: Shadow Binding - To prevent confusion, Jin refers to his powers as "Shadow Binding." In actuality, it's principles revolve around using tier 2 elements (those that haven't been perceived by mankind, but are not in the spiritual realm) to drastically slow down photons, which are the particles that govern visible light on the electromagnetic spectrum. As a result, the very light that would usually connect with one retina's to produce an image is held back, creating "blind spots". These blind spots are often mistaken for moving shadows, as they can take any form that Jin can (within his power) mold them to, all by pinpointing various photons to slow down by the billions. The catch, however, is Jin's ability to intertwine the tier 2 element, which he simply refers to as "Shadow" within the space between each photon. The element itself is a celestial matter that has physical properties, including selective materialization. Simply put - you can feel those "blind spots", which are just concentrations of slowed photons. The misconception is then created that the shadows come to life. Jin can use "shadows" for both offense and defense, but primarily as a temporarily cloak for Ishigo.
Kage Secondary Power: Shadow Tethering - This is a sub-ability, derived from Jin's primary power. When the photon's are slowed down, creating the "living shadow", Jin can use his spirit (a great deal, actually) to change the direction of the photons in order to send them into places where light is unavailable, or in other words, actual shadows. As a result, the "blind spots" that Jin creates can connect to other actual shadows (absences of light) and let the celestial tier 2 element manifest around the single photon found in the absence of light. Simply put, his shadows can connect with actual shadows and allow for an easy method of generating the celestial element which he refers to shadow. So basically, MORE SHADOWS!
Kage Personality/Description: Jin is rather humble and reserved. He's the type of kage that occasionally will crack a joke and surprise Ishigo, making him laugh (which he would otherwise never do). He has a distinct love for humanity, derived from his curiosity at their development. He is an older kage, something he takes pride in, and often indulges in tales of the past, including stories of what he observed in the human realm long before Ishigo existed. It is the progress and advancement that humanity made - out of the era of war and bloodshed - that drives Jin's desire to accept human's as brother entities.

Personality: Kisheto is, in general, an optimistic and overconfident individual. The very light hearted manner in which he perceives any given situation drives his tendency to take things for granted. Although his overconfidence doesn't cause any form of narcisistic or egotistical nature, it does sometimes cause him to overestimate his abilities. The reason for it is simply a subliminal desire to be acknowledged and regarded as something beyond what he is - a forgotten drifter in the slums of Sovereign. Due to a lack of direct parenting, he sometimes has strange reactions to given situations that result in negative consequences more often than not. However, despite his desire to prove to the world that one can achieve simply through determination, he values others and their ambitions. He believes the best way to progress through your struggle is to share it with those who care for you, and in turn take some of their pain upon yourself. It is this belief that creates his ultimate weakness: loneliness.
Bio: Kisheto was born to Korseth Yashime, a strong willed and handsome man who was the Head of Agriculture in Vantus. Korseth loved his homeland and was known to be the kind to fight for it if needed. In fact, Korseth had plans to enlist in the noble Gaian military, but decided not to for unknown reasons. Instead, at the age of 22, he took up farming. His parents were both politicians, but Korseth hated it. He aspired to become like Rugo - a strong, independent working man who is loved by his comrades and brethren. After years of toiling on the farmlands of Vantus, Korseth was finally recognized for his ability to protect and enhance the farms - both through force and an amazing sense of diplomacy. It was said he could have easily became mayor, but he refused to do so in fear of losing his friends. No, he remained a working man - toiling day in and day out under the same unforgiving sun as his other fellow farmers.
The farms brought upon another miracle for Korseth: Nora Lok'eeth. She was the sister of Korseth's best friend, who tragically died due to a horrible incident in Vantus involving bandits that refused to leave the town alone. Nora mourned little - instead she suppressed her emotions and taking up her deceased brother's work in honor of his memory. Her fierce attitude attracted Korseth. He saw a beautiful woman in her, tormented by her anger for the bandits. He believed this anger was used to mask the sorrow she was drowning in. Korseth never hesitated to work alongside her and assist her, and soon enough, after many deep conversations, she fell in love with him. He instantly fell in love with her, too, during a night in which every emotion seemed to let loose as the pained woman broke the seal on her suppressed feelings.
It wasn't long before the two married and, eventually, cried in joy at the birth of Kisheto. However, tragedy soon befell the couple, burying the happiness that had managed to brighten Korseth's quickly dulling life. Nora was soon declared death due to unknown complications - only mere hours after Kisheto's birth. Korseth broke on the inside, feeling nothing but weakness in his shattered soul. Kisheto's birth and existence was the very thin thread that prevented him from cutting off his ties to the living world.

Kisheto loved his father more than anything in the world. He saw his father as the very icon of integrity and honor. When ever any child would make fun of Kisheto (usually for one of the many stupid things he would say) Kisheto would always have the same response: What would dad do....? Once he became more sensible of his surroundings and society, he decided that he would aim to gain as much wisdom from his father and then set off to join the Gaian military like Korseth once aspired to. Korseth loved his son's determination and fully backed his dream with routine training and conditioning. To Kisheto, Korseth was the bridge to adulthood. However, things began to turn towards the dark for Korseth once more. As the Vantus Government was reorganized with a new Mayor, corruption quickly ensued. Korseth hated the new group of leaders that would decide the future of Vantus and things took a turn for the worse. When Kisheto turned 15, Korseth was on the verge of bankruptcy, and Kisheto decided that he would remain by his father's side to help bring in some more revenue and in turn, save him from his financial struggle. But it was to no avail, as Korseth was eventually forced to take Kisheto to the travel hub outside of Vantus. Kisheto was somewhat shaken by his father's tension and anxiety. Kisheto, who was extremely reluctant and uncooperative at the time, wanted nothing more than to give up his dream and work by his father. But his father dismissed him and sent him off to Sovereign, with money that Kisheto could not explain the existence of. The whole ordeal was disorienting to Kisheto - an abrupt departure to an unknown city. He felt his father was abandoning him, but shook his thoughts as he awaited boarding the shuttle. The last memory of his father, however, was the flashing image of Korseth's face displayed across every screen in the travel hub. The image was displayed among deep red letters spelling out the words: "Traitor." Kisheto was never able to explain why his father was accused of treason - not even to this day, in which he roams the streets of Sovereigns, not much more than a homeless teenager. Without an income, he resides in multiple shelters scattered across the beautiful city. He is constantly moving, never stopping at the same shelter as he refuses to be seen in a homeless shelter more than once. From a hard working farmer boy to a petty thief in the slums of sovereign - Kisheto treads the path of a vagabond with a forgotten ambition that itches to reignite.

Kage Name: Sol
Kage Primary Power: Aether is the enigmatic, celestial element that was used to create all life on Aeros. It is also the element that holds together Aeros and the realm of the kages. Sol can harness Aether, the natural energies of the world, and manipulate it (he can blend and wield the energies of nature). It is said that Aether is the element that is observed in the perfect harmony of all five elements fused with the essence of life and death. Sol can harness this Aether from the environment and fuse it with his spirit to give it shape in the observable world. Appearing as a golden aura, Aether can be used for a variety of things, but is mostly used by Kisheto to power up all of his offense/defense/movements. With training, Kisheto can become one with the Aether and manipulate it like Sol can, creating a weapon out of the golden element. Since Aether is found in all living things, he is also able to focus in on human spirits that aren't bonded to a kage, meaning he can understand the intent of a normal human to an extent by judging fluctuations in their spirit (kind of like Negative Emotion Sensing).
Kage Secondary Power: Aether Prime - "Aether Prime" is a very special ability that Kisheto uses once he gains a strong control of his hidden abilities. It is drawn from his Kage's ability, so it isn't much of a "secondary" ability as it is a "sub ability". Actually, Aether Prime is just a beefed up version of an ability every host has, but is unsure of how to use. A "prime" form is usually when a kage relinquishes much more of its control to the host, establishing a perfect 50/50 balance in spirit. The two entities become one. This allows for the human to accomplish things otherwise impossible and express his or her powers to a much greater degree (although it is really the kage expressing them). In "Aether Prime", Kisheto and Sol tweak the Prime form by drawing in large amounts of Aether from the energies of nature. In this form, Kisheto dons an Ethereal armor that is shown in the pictures above. He is also able to create an Aether Blade (also listed and shown above) that is Sol's signature weapon manifested in the human world.
Kage Personality/Description: Sol is a quiet and mysterious individual who seems to like progress. Both the progress of the individual and the progress of said individual's cause or society. He likes to think things through and often wanders off into deep thought, which usually confuses the hell out of Kisheto. However, he maintains a certain stern demeanor and rarely talks to Kisheto unless an emergency arises.

Personality: Victor is a very confident and bold man. He has an inclination to express his competitive edge through both physical contest and intellectual debate. From an early age, people have noted his knack for discerning the truth from another person's lies. He was known for manipulating people's conversations to lead to answers he desired. It was simply in his nature to take charge - whether on the duty or in speech. His natural tendency to assume authority is part of the reason he was given the title of Chief Mercenary in the Golden Mercs. This only served to further his ego and sense of entitlement. Rest assured, he maintains a bright attitude and shows a strong compassion for his allies.
Bio: Victor was born in Thelle, a suburban city near the South Eastern border of Gaia. His parents, Ingrid and Carleo, were on their way back to their hometown of Vantus in Valira, when Ingrid's water broke and the shuttle was forced to execute an emergency landing. Ingrid Esteves, Victor's mother, was close friends with Sergio Black, the father of the current council representative for Gaia. The two had been friends in Vantus for a long time before Sergio left for his political ambitions. His success brought forth an unbelievable fortune, which he cut out a decent portion of specifically for Ingrid and her husband. Because of this, Victor and his younger brother were blessed with an amazing childhood and were able to frequent Sovereign to learn of it's ways.
Victor's family had began in the lower class, but soon, found it's way to the top of Vantus' economy. Using his income from working the farms, Victor traveled to Sovereign at age 15, where he then enlisted in the Y.D.A (Youth Disciplinary Academy) and soared through the ranks due to his amazing physical prowess. Not only that, but he was recognized for his ability to make the optimal decisions in any simulated situation, and was quickly praised for his leadership. At age 16, Victor joined the Golden Mercenaries, graduating from the Y.D.A faster than any known individual. Even in the prestigious Golden Mercenaries, Victor functioned with ease and never ceased to impress his peers. It was in a matter of 6 years - all spent working the HQ and acing assigned contracts - before he was crowned the Chief Mercenary (leader of the entire faction). This was also due to the fact that the previous leader, Martin Byse, was killed by creatures of Arcaran forests. Regardless, Victor instilled a sense of pride and morale in his comrades that was unknown to the mercenaries. He was more than just their leader - he was their brother in arms, their comrade, their hero. He remains the leader to this very day, working alongside his Second in Command brother - Hector Esteves.

Personality: Hector is an extremely outgoing individual. He has a knack for getting people to like him and it's usually due to his genuinely positive mannerisms. Unlike his brother, he is much more tolerable and views justice as something more complex than killing the bad and saving the good. He often served as a voice of reason for his brother and is usually found in the middle of conflicts which he often resolves using logic and compassion.
Bio: Hector was born in Vantus, the Capitol farmland of Valira, where he was known to be "everybody's" friend. However, he only considered his brother, Victor, and his childhood pal, Ishigo, to be his "real" friends. He was a family oriented boy, and the only reason he left to join the Y.D.A in Sovereign was because his brother told him to. There, he was usually picked on for being a softie, regardless of the fact that he was an exceptional combatant. His sense of unarmed combat was unparalleled, and he is, to this day, the only man to have dropped Victor using nothing but his martial arts skills. Hector took on the duty if Chief's Assistant, serving as a right hand man to his brother. As a result, he was also considered to be a "vice chief" to his fellow golden mercenaries.

Personality:
Julian's friends refer to him as "the human painkiller." This is because he is known to have one of the most soothing voices ever to kiss the ears of those who hear it. He's a poet at heart, and thus, he has a knack for always picking the right words to tag team with his tone and deliver powerful, influential messages. He is also a musician, and because of this, sometimes drifts into song in the middle of conversation. He always manages to keep his calm, no matter what, especially when he becomes "one with the herb." His laid back attitude is contagious, and whenever he hangs out with friends, there seems to be a lack of drama, which people tend to prefer since they all desire to escape the dramatically busy lives they lead in Sovereign. Julian is also extremely optimistic and friendly, and it is known that he has the natural ability to turn enemies into friends within a heartbeat.
Bio: Julian loved his parents. Oh, but guess what? They're still alive. Fuckers.
Julian was born in a small village in Caliosa, one of the many tropical islands found in the I.I.N. He has little memory of what it was like, besides the fact that, unlike in Leginia, Sweetleaf wasn't banned. His father, Janus Drake, and his mother, Enya Drake, both were beyond fascinated with stories of the continent of Leginia. The two had a very interesting love story themselves, always looking for adventure and action. It was this love for adventure that eventually caused them and their 2 year old son to find themselves stowed away on a trade vessel that led them to Leginia.
There, the two parents quickly enlisted in the military and managed to attain enough finances to support themselves. At age 5, Julian was settled in at the middle class sector (Sector B) of Gaia, where he attended school like the rest of the kids.

Furthermore, many labeled him as a weirdo for having traditional tattoos that were given to Caliosan children at birth to define them (these tattoos were gradually made bigger, adding new symbols and patterns with age to symbolize the growth/path/actions that the child would take until age 21, when the arm length tattoo was completed). Kage Primary Power: Shadow Binding - To prevent confusion, Jin refers to his powers as "Shadow Binding." In actuality, it's principles revolve around using tier 2 elements (those that haven't been perceived by mankind, but are not in the spiritual realm) to drastically slow down photons, which are the particles that govern visible light on the electromagnetic spectrum. As a result, the very light that would usually connect with one retina's to produce an image is held back, creating "blind spots". These blind spots are often mistaken for moving shadows, as they can take any form that Jin can (within his power) mold them to, all by pinpointing various photons to slow down by the billions. The catch, however, is Jin's ability to intertwine the tier 2 element, which he simply refers to as "Shadow" within the space between each photon. The element itself is a celestial matter that has physical properties, including selective materialization. Simply put - you can feel those "blind spots", which are just concentrations of slowed photons. The misconception is then created that the shadows come to life. Jin can use "shadows" for both offense and defense, but primarily as a temporarily cloak for Ishigo.
Kage Secondary Power: Shadow Tethering - This is a sub-ability, derived from Jin's primary power. When the photon's are slowed down, creating the "living shadow", Jin can use his spirit (a great deal, actually) to change the direction of the photons in order to send them into places where light is unavailable, or in other words, actual shadows. As a result, the "blind spots" that Jin creates can connect to other actual shadows (absences of light) and let the celestial tier 2 element manifest around the single photon found in the absence of light. Simply put, his shadows can connect with actual shadows and allow for an easy method of generating the celestial element which he refers to shadow. So basically, MORE SHADOWS!
Kage Personality/Description: Jin is rather humble and reserved. He's the type of kage that occasionally will crack a joke and surprise Ishigo, making him laugh (which he would otherwise never do). He has a distinct love for humanity, derived from his curiosity at their development. He is an older kage, something he takes pride in, and often indulges in tales of the past, including stories of what he observed in the human realm long before Ishigo existed. It is the progress and advancement that humanity made - out of the era of war and bloodshed - that drives Jin's desire to accept human's as brother entities.

Personality: Kisheto is, in general, an optimistic and overconfident individual. The very light hearted manner in which he perceives any given situation drives his tendency to take things for granted. Although his overconfidence doesn't cause any form of narcisistic or egotistical nature, it does sometimes cause him to overestimate his abilities. The reason for it is simply a subliminal desire to be acknowledged and regarded as something beyond what he is - a forgotten drifter in the slums of Sovereign. Due to a lack of direct parenting, he sometimes has strange reactions to given situations that result in negative consequences more often than not. However, despite his desire to prove to the world that one can achieve simply through determination, he values others and their ambitions. He believes the best way to progress through your struggle is to share it with those who care for you, and in turn take some of their pain upon yourself. It is this belief that creates his ultimate weakness: loneliness.
Bio: Kisheto was born to Korseth Yashime, a strong willed and handsome man who was the Head of Agriculture in Vantus. Korseth loved his homeland and was known to be the kind to fight for it if needed. In fact, Korseth had plans to enlist in the noble Gaian military, but decided not to for unknown reasons. Instead, at the age of 22, he took up farming. His parents were both politicians, but Korseth hated it. He aspired to become like Rugo - a strong, independent working man who is loved by his comrades and brethren. After years of toiling on the farmlands of Vantus, Korseth was finally recognized for his ability to protect and enhance the farms - both through force and an amazing sense of diplomacy. It was said he could have easily became mayor, but he refused to do so in fear of losing his friends. No, he remained a working man - toiling day in and day out under the same unforgiving sun as his other fellow farmers.
The farms brought upon another miracle for Korseth: Nora Lok'eeth. She was the sister of Korseth's best friend, who tragically died due to a horrible incident in Vantus involving bandits that refused to leave the town alone. Nora mourned little - instead she suppressed her emotions and taking up her deceased brother's work in honor of his memory. Her fierce attitude attracted Korseth. He saw a beautiful woman in her, tormented by her anger for the bandits. He believed this anger was used to mask the sorrow she was drowning in. Korseth never hesitated to work alongside her and assist her, and soon enough, after many deep conversations, she fell in love with him. He instantly fell in love with her, too, during a night in which every emotion seemed to let loose as the pained woman broke the seal on her suppressed feelings.
It wasn't long before the two married and, eventually, cried in joy at the birth of Kisheto. However, tragedy soon befell the couple, burying the happiness that had managed to brighten Korseth's quickly dulling life. Nora was soon declared death due to unknown complications - only mere hours after Kisheto's birth. Korseth broke on the inside, feeling nothing but weakness in his shattered soul. Kisheto's birth and existence was the very thin thread that prevented him from cutting off his ties to the living world.

Kisheto loved his father more than anything in the world. He saw his father as the very icon of integrity and honor. When ever any child would make fun of Kisheto (usually for one of the many stupid things he would say) Kisheto would always have the same response: What would dad do....? Korseth loved his son's determination and fully backed his dream with routine training and conditioning. To Kisheto, Korseth was the bridge to adulthood. Korseth hated the new group of leaders that would decide the future of Vantus and things took a turn for the worse. When Kisheto turned 15, Korseth was on the verge of bankruptcy, and Kisheto decided that he would remain by his father's side to help bring in some more revenue and in turn, save him from his financial struggle. But it was to no avail, as Korseth was eventually forced to take Kisheto to the travel hub outside of Vantus. Kisheto was somewhat shaken by his father's tension and anxiety. Kisheto, who was extremely reluctant and uncooperative at the time, wanted nothing more than to give up his dream and work by his father. But his father dismissed him and sent him off to Sovereign, with money that Kisheto could not explain the existence of. The whole ordeal was disorienting to Kisheto - an abrupt departure to an unknown city. He felt his father was abandoning him, but shook his thoughts as he awaited boarding the shuttle. The last memory of his father, however, was the flashing image of Korseth's face displayed across every screen in the travel hub. The image was displayed among deep red letters spelling out the words: "Traitor." Kisheto was never able to explain why his father was accused of treason - not even to this day, in which he roams the streets of Sovereigns, not much more than a homeless teenager. Without an income, he resides in multiple shelters scattered across the beautiful city. He is constantly moving, never stopping at the same shelter as he refuses to be seen in a homeless shelter more than once. From a hard working farmer boy to a petty thief in the slums of sovereign - Kisheto treads the path of a vagabond with a forgotten ambition that itches to reignite.

Kage Primary Power: Aether is the enigmatic, celestial element that was used to create all life on Aeros. It is also the element that holds together Aeros and the realm of the kages. Sol can harness Aether, the natural energies of the world, and manipulate it (he can blend and wield the energies of nature). It is said that Aether is the element that is observed in the perfect harmony of all five elements fused with the essence of life and death. Sol can harness this Aether from the environment and fuse it with his spirit to give it shape in the observable world. Appearing as a golden aura, Aether can be used for a variety of things, but is mostly used by Kisheto to power up all of his offense/defense/movements. With training, Kisheto can become one with the Aether and manipulate it like Sol can, creating a weapon out of the golden element. Since Aether is found in all living things, he is also able to focus in on human spirits that aren't bonded to a kage, meaning he can understand the intent of a normal human to an extent by judging fluctuations in their spirit (kind of like Negative Emotion Sensing).
Kage Secondary Power: Aether Prime - "Aether Prime" is a very special ability that Kisheto uses once he gains a strong control of his hidden abilities. It is drawn from his Kage's ability, so it isn't much of a "secondary" ability as it is a "sub ability". Actually, Aether Prime is just a beefed up version of an ability every host has, but is unsure of how to use. A "prime" form is usually when a kage relinquishes much more of its control to the host, establishing a perfect 50/50 balance in spirit. The two entities become one. This allows for the human to accomplish things otherwise impossible and express his or her powers to a much greater degree (although it is really the kage expressing them). In "Aether Prime", Kisheto and Sol tweak the Prime form by drawing in large amounts of Aether from the energies of nature. In this form, Kisheto dons an Ethereal armor that is shown in the pictures above. He is also able to create an Aether Blade (also listed and shown above) that is Sol's signature weapon manifested in the human world.

It was simply in his nature to take charge - whether on the duty or in speech. His natural tendency to assume authority is part of the reason he was given the title of Chief Mercenary in the Golden Mercs. This only served to further his ego and sense of entitlement. Rest assured, he maintains a bright attitude and shows a strong compassion for his allies.
Bio: Victor was born in Thelle, a suburban city near the South Eastern border of Gaia. His parents, Ingrid and Carleo, were on their way back to their hometown of Vantus in Valira, when Ingrid's water broke and the shuttle was forced to execute an emergency landing. Ingrid Esteves, Victor's mother, was close friends with Sergio Black, the father of the current council representative for Gaia. The two had been friends in Vantus for a long time before Sergio left for his political ambitions. His success brought forth an unbelievable fortune, which he cut out a decent portion of specifically for Ingrid and her husband. Because of this, Victor and his younger brother were blessed with an amazing childhood and were able to frequent Sovereign to learn of it's ways.
Victor's family had began in the lower class, but soon, found it's way to the top of Vantus' economy. Using his income from working the farms, Victor traveled to Sovereign at age 15, where he then enlisted in the Y.D.A (Youth Disciplinary Academy) and soared through the ranks due to his amazing physical prowess. Not only that, but he was recognized for his ability to make the optimal decisions in any simulated situation, and was quickly praised for his leadership. At age 16, Victor joined the Golden Mercenaries, graduating from the Y.D.A faster than any known individual. Even in the prestigious Golden Mercenaries, Victor functioned with ease and never ceased to impress his peers. It was in a matter of 6 years - all spent working the HQ and acing assigned contracts - before he was crowned the Chief Mercenary (leader of the entire faction). This was also due to the fact that the previous leader, Martin Byse, was killed by creatures of Arcaran forests. Personality: Scholarly and always looking for the next piece of knowledge, Thanar's courage belies his physical stature. He is not afraid to venture into dangerous places and bad situations if he thinks there's something worthwhile at the end of it. His near-obsession with cores causes him to be something of a loner, but he is fiercely loyal to the few friends he manages to make. Although generally quiet, he isn't afraid to speak up when he has to, and is generally worth listening to.
Biography: Born to the wealthy Zey family, Thanar was expected to grow up and take over the family trade: core brokering. The Zey dynasty have become extremely rich through transporting and selling cores, despite the fact that they never had any interest in the things. Thanar proved an exception, delighting in the powers of cores from an early age and showing a natural ability with them. He would spend long hours experimenting, and quickly became skilled in their use.
His father, though not a cruel man, despaired at his son's complete disregard for the mercantile world, and began to resort to increasingly harsh punishments to get Thanar to "stop playing with those damned cores and get on with some real work." When he threatened a beating, Thanar finally snapped and ran away. Aged only thirteen, he had to live on the streets. The cores he had with him kept him safe, and he continued his research, managing to earn some money from fixing and improving the core technology of passers-by.
Six years later, when he was nineteen, his father died. The sole remaining member of the Zey family, he proved his bloodline with the family ring he had received from his dying mother and inherited everything. Selling Zey Cores to another business, he used the money to fund his ever-increasing body of research and development. Delving into the ruins of the floating city, he began to glean hints of great powers beyond what he had already found. Deep in the ruins, he discovered the secret of fusing cores, found knowledge of core harmonics (resonating and cancelling to increase or block a core's power respectively), and forged his Corestaff. Since then, he has run a small business dealing in core repairs and alterations to provide funds for his ongoing research.

Core Mastery Thanar has a natural affinity for cores. He can sense them, and has developed a technique called "pulsing" where he literally sends a pulse of spirit energy at them to see how it resonates. He can draw a little on their powers naturally. If he meditates over a core, he can sense inside it and glean knowledge and understanding of its powers and limitations, helping him to use it properly. The more he meditates and practices with a certain type of core, the more he can use of it. He is at a high level with fire, wind, water, land, lightning, kinetic, light and sound, and has some ability with most of the common types.
He can fuse cores, both of the same type and of different types, though the latter is harder. He also has knowledge of core harmonics - how the power of cores resonates. He can amplify or cancel out the power of a core with a resonance of his own, although it is difficult and tiring to do so.
Scholar Thanar is knowledgeable on many subjects, and often has just the right piece of trivia in his head. He can read ancient languages.

Equipment
Corestaff Always in his hand is Thanar's long staff. It seems to be a uniform silver, as if made of steel, but under bright light it shimmers in many colours. It's actually made of cores, worked and fused into a long pole. On close examination, there are strange patterns carved lightly into it. Its component cores are: land, wind, water, fire, lightning, kinetic, light and sound.

The five rings Thanar wears each have a different colour jewel in. Though they look ordinary, they are actually cores cut down to resemble gemstones. He has a fire core, a wind core, a water core, a lightning core and a land core.
Shield Amulet A kinetic core set in a necklace, this amulet produces a kinetic shield about twice as strong as normal thanks to the patterns that Thanar engraved into the setting and core.
Zey Ring A ring carrying the Zey family crest, this piece of jewelry was given to him by his mother when she was on her deathbed.

Kage Primary Power: Spirit Share Sulaan can intermingle her spirit with that of Thanar's to increase his strength and control. This allows him to draw more power from cores with less concentration and danger. He can also make use of stronger cores that he couldn't normally.
Kage Secondary Power: Awareness Sulaan's bond with Thanar boosts his senses. His senses of sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste are at about twice the level of an ordinary human. He can also process sensory data much faster than the average human, allowing him to read at a dizzying pace and take in the main features of an area in little more than a moment's glance.
Kage Personality/Description: Bubbly and inexperienced, Sulaan often comes across as ditzy, but is actually quite sharp. She is a young Kamikage, and enjoys seeing new things and learning new information. This allows her to get on well with Thanar, who likewise seeks knowledge and experience. Thanar often lets her take over his mouth, as he is quiet by nature.

Personality: She Is a bitter child, and hates all those who help her. She expects only betrayal from others and lives a life of solitude, hoping to one day take vengeance on those who live in the light.
Bio: Innocence is a fragile thing, often lost to harsh fangs of society and stripped from its bearers at an early age. The Provence of Warshire is an unforgiving place where the innocent are quickly encouraged to leave behind their childish ways and join the rugged society they were birthed to. This mind set however, did not hold true in the small village of Hemmingway, which, during its existence, was located at the southernmost point in Warshire territory. Innocence was believed to be a precious thing in this quirk of the Warshire province, and the children of this village were held in the highest regard. Young Ariela Melodie had the fortune of being born to this small community and life was perfect for her.
At the age of nine young Ariela had her life ripped away however, when a brave bandit party ventured into Warshire territory in the dead of night. It came without warning, fire, screams of agony, and an instinctual sense of fear. People were slaughtered left and right, her father was decapitated by a black war axe that seemed to emit fire from itself. She wailed in sorrow, refusing to let her fathers still warm corpse be left behind. Ariela's mother managed to convince the bandits to take them prisoner, and Ariela was torn from her life and forced to leave her home with 27 others, her mother included. The village was burned to ash, and the only survivors, sold into slavery.
Ariela's mother managed to miraculously keep her daughter with her as they began their slow journey to the deep forests of Arcarus. It was difficult, and her mother was forced to please the bandits in trade for her daughters life. After 4 months of traveling they finally arrived at the Bandit headquarters. A place Ariela would be forced to call home for the next two years. Two add insult to injury, Ariela's mother attracted Scurvy and passed away after a year of bad nourishment. Ariela had become a scrawny child, malnourished, and physically abused, she was forgotten by the others and lived in the background of the camp. A kind old man took her in and began giving her portions of his rations upon finding her in a near death state. Ariela came to trust the man, and looked at him as a grandfather.
When help finally did come young Ariela was 11 years old, and had lost her eyesight due too malnutrition. The old man claimed her as his granddaughter and brought her with him to Sovereign, capitol of the Continent.
Things were better, until she turned the age of 13. It was at this time that her trusted friend, who she had come to call Grampa, showed his true colors. He assaulted her and used her as his personal toy for half a year. One night she managed to fashion a shiv out of some broken glass and pierce his throat with it. She escaped and fled into the street.
She is now fifteen and survives off of the food that those who pity her toss her way from time to time. She has been abused countless times by passersby that did not appreciate her position and suffering. Her life has been one of torment, and the hatred she holds for all who she deems responsible is without end. She holds a loathing that cannot be described in words towards any that would call themselves 'good'. Her mind has been twisted by torment and she curses every hand that extends towards her in kindness.
This is her now, she has blond hair however.

Kage Name: Artemus Melancholy
Kage Primary Power: Artemus's primary ability is taking on his true form. Regularly he takes the form of a young, mute boy surrounded by two rabbits. One laughing, and one sobbing. When he takes his true form he becomes a swirling vortex of chaotic energy that destabilizes the spirit of any within it. This process usually takes about 3 human days. The Vortex is approximately a half of a square mile in size and has an egg like shape. Ariela can somewhat mimic this ability however it is significantly weaker:

Vortex of Eternal Slumber: Ariela can create a circular vortex of darkness fifteen square meters in size around herself. She is always at the Vortex's center. Ariela can sense anything within the vortex in a way similar to sight. Those caught in the vortex are blinded and can easily lose their bearings. (Individuals with high spacial awareness can maintain their bearings with more ease.)
Kage Secondary Power: Artemus can create minions known as Shadow-lings that have the ability to take the form of any being they have observed. They retain one/one-hundredth of Artemus's power. He can create 100 at a single time. He can only manifest ten at one time when in the human world.
Deception: Ariela can create a single Shadow-ling. She can posses it by having her consciousness move into its body. Her own body is fully under Artemus's control during the time she is within the Shadow-ling. Shadow-ling's do not feel pain. Her Shadow-lings have strength equal to 9/10 of whoever it is they manifest as.
Kage Personality/Description: Artemus is one of the oldest Kage in existence. He thrives in chaos, destruction follows soon after his arrival to any world. He is extremely powerful, for he has the innate ability to tap into the voids power and use it as a source. When in the human world he cannot do this, so his strength is significantly lesser. He is still very powerful however, for he has consumed many Kage in his lifetime. Artemus has found himself growing bored in the recent years. The familiar chaos of the void is becoming dull and he seeks a new world to fuel is unending need for destruction. The human world serves as just the thing he needs and Ariela's destructive personality has atracted him to the young girl. Together they are a whirlwind of madness and destruction. A unnatural disaster.
Other: Because of Artemus's age and connection to the void some unique side effects inflict Ariela as she falls further under his influence. Firstly she will steadily age the more corrupted she becomes. She will peak at about 36 and will not age a day physically after that point. Secondly a dark armor that begins as ring with a glowing red crystal on it will form around her until she is wearing a full set. She will also gain a sword created from darkness itself.

It was her world, her way of life. She lived with blindness for so long now that her memory of the splendors of sight were fading. She had lost all hope of salvation years ago. She was a husk, filled only with bitter hatred for any who approached her. Whether it was an offer of love, or the ruff leather of an abusers boot, she scorned it. Every single wrong that had ever been done to her she remembered. Every word of hate, every strike from another. She held it in her mind and let it brood, brood for the day she would finally strike back, the day she would laugh as the world burned.
A soft thump pulled her thoughts from the sea of hatred they had been adrift within. Her little hand reached out to feel what had fallen. 'Bread...' she thought to herself as she picked it up and brought it too her nose. She took a hurried bite, her teeth clamping down on something hard halfway through. Her tooth shattered and she tasted blood in her mouth. She dug through the loaf to try and determine what had caused this. After a few moments of searching her small hands produced five steel balls. She could not identify them as steel, but she knew they were not naturally occurring things in a loaf of bread.
She searched the rest of the loaf, being more careful with her next bites. Each time she chewed she winced in pain, blood ran down her chin and she heard the feint cackle of the one she now identified as the culprit. She said nothing, did nothing, no she simply sat and listened; imprinting the sound of that cackle in her mind for future reference. 'One day...' she thought to herself with a rage that chilled the air, 'one day you will feel regret in the form of a bloody knife....'
She made this promise to herself and slowly continued to eat her bread.

Personality: Vates is a very private and reserved man, but confident in everything he says and does. He has good reason to be after all. He acts friendly but is rarely sincere, always keeping things professional and formal even whilst off the job. Whilst he would never say so, he is (due to both his personality and his job) very lonely and on the nights that he cannot get to sleep it is the idea of going back home that fills his mind. In terms of morality he is very pragmatic and calculated, willing to do 'bad things' if need be although he has so far done all he can to avoid having to take another life.
Bio: Vates childhood was nothing special. He had nice family who could afford a few luxuries. He got good grades at school and never got in trouble. He was however always a bit of an outcast, only having a few friends. By the time he left school however, things changed. Whilst he was far from being a child prodigy, he was very intelligent and he had no desire to join the local industries, but nor did he desire to go onto further study. He was lost.
One day, whilst being forced by his father to take a look around some of the local factories in search of a job he might like, he came across a suspicious scene. Four men, who having poorly checked their surroundings for onlookers climbed down into the sewers. These men were not workers Vates deducted (for one: they lacked equipment), and for reasons he could not fathom he had to follow them. His eavesdropping revealed that three of the men were selling off various expensive components from military vehicles to the forth man; and following the meeting having continued to tail the three factory workers learnt that these men were far from organised criminals but rather foolish men looking for extra cash. These men would be the first in a series of blackmails that would place Vates in large sums of money. Vates was amazed by the ease in which only tiny amounts of information could yield such rewards, and how ever so more importantly could yield even more information. In only a few years Vates became more than an opportunistic blackmailer, more than a crooked private investigator or spy... he would be become an information broker, and he was damn good at it.
To his family, few friends and anyone who wasn't a client he was a systems inspector (using falsified documents), and only a few months ago got a very nice job of it in Sovereign. Now he continues his trade in the massive capital, although he has found more and more that he has to get his hands dirty in order to slither his way to the top of the food chain, still preferring to do a lot of the information gathering work himself.

He did (until the event) rely on his information and money rather a lot, being able to buy various services and products.
Unless he's on a job he prefers to dress in smart expensive attire and he always wears two specially made core augmented gauntlets. His left one uses a kinetic core and allows him to push opponents/objects, or rather more stealthily it allows him to do such things as take out sources of light quietly with a concentrated burst. His right one uses a light core, which he can use as a torch, but also to blind pursuers.

Kage Primary Power: Clairvoyance
Janus has the power to see into other alternative realities, both past, present and future. These realities are never perfectly identical but can be very very similar. This allows Janus not only to glimpse at what might have occurred or is occurring, but also allows him to see possible futures. A very powerful tool, especially in the hands of an information broker. Whilst this power presents the potential for much power, it only provides glimpses of what might be and any action that follows these visions is a gamble. Besides, you often meet your destiny on the road you take to avoid it. This ability is not turned on and off at will, but rather Janus and his host experience these visions almost at random.
Kage Secondary Power: UNKOWN - If Janus has any other abilities they are not obvious or known to him. Only since leaving the gate has the first power even existed.
Kage Personality/Description: Janus was always considered to be one of the weakest Kages, despite being one of the eldest. Though he has some wisdom to him its not been since entering his host that his potential has been shown. Personality: Introverted, and and generally unfriendly, she has a slight fear of people, and does not do well in most social situations. It does not help that she barely talks to anyone but her maid and the other staff in her mansion. Thus, she prefers being alone, and avoids people as much as possible. Being a librarian in her school helps, as she can immerse herself in books after class, with only a few people coming in to bother her there. While she was brought up to never ignore a person in need of help, she is more likely to run away and seek help than help the person herself.
Bio: Hayami Koihime was never one for being social. Her family, while rich, had only lavished their money on her, hardly ever home to lavish their love on her. During the time they do come home, their words of love and gestures of caring seemed empty, hollow. As if they were only going through the motions of it. Hayami understands what they do, and why they were travelling so much, but it was still rather to hold onto that understanding when she was alone in the house once again during her birthday, clutching the card they sent from wherever they currently were.
She was never one for being social. The other girls in the school reminded her of what she could have, what she could have been. Her own status as being the 'rich kid' puts her above the rest, and the ever silent maid following her around was a symbol of that title. Being above the rest also means you are on your own. People moved out of her way as if parted by some unknown power, people who suddenly bumped into her just apologized and ran away, people talked about her behind her back, spreading rumors of things she might and might not have done.
She hated them. Those people who spoke behind her back, those people who neglected her, those people who made her who she was. She hated them, but there was nothing she can do. Hayami herself was weak, even with all her wealth. Using her wealth to silence those people would just be flaunting her assets around, teaching nothing to them. All her wealth and influence, yet so powerless against them.

Kage Personality/Description: Raijin is vaguely shaped like a gorilla with a mane. A really buff gorilla with a mane. Its personality is more animalistic, base, going on by instincts instead of reason. It has only basic intelligence, speaking in broken fragmented fashion, but it has a high level of cunning, able to think through most situations and devise plans.
With a nod to herself, she closed the book and slid it back on the shelf. Honestly, her juniors were almost as bad as monkeys, leaving their books strewn around. However, it was kind of refreshing to see those people taking an interest in books. Most of her classmates or those from the same year as her didn't have an interest in books. Perhaps those comics, but those hardly counts as books in her opinion. Her juniors seems to be more tolerable as well, they didn't seem quite as intent on badmouthing her whenever she turned around, and they actually greeted her. Perhaps it was because they didn't really know her well.

She sighed and turned her head towards Hilda, her maid. "Pack up my things."
With a slight bow, the maid left, leaving Hayami alone once more. Taking the final book, she took a glance at the spine and shoved it in its place on one of the lower shelves. Taking a step back, she nodded to herself and left the library, meeting up with her maid at the entrance.

This... This was her spot in the park, a relatively empty area with only the occasional jogger passing through. It always made her feel a little bit better when she was here, something about the fresh air, and the sun shining down through the oak tree they were under perhaps. It made her forget about her problems, it made her feel like everything will be alright. Like all her troubles were washed away.
If only she can really wash it away.

Bio: Zachary was born into a working class family. His mother was a seamstress, creating clothing for the harsh Warshirian weather. His father was a miner, working to collect metals and cores from the earth. He has two brothers and a sister. Whilst his siblings worked towards trades, Zachary's inquisitive mind made him more interested in science. A key point he remembers in his early life was a visit with his family to the capital city, Wintra, at age 7. There he saw the marvellous and masterful technology which Wintra is famed for making. This was a pivotal point, as it gave his longing for inquiry a place to grab hold. Since then he has been deeply interested in machines.
His parents obliged in giving him an academic education. After graduating from school, Zachary moved to Arcarus where he would be able to study at the universities there. In his studies he has obtained a deep knowledge, both theoretical and practical, of the technologies prevalent in the world. At present he has achieved a Masters in Engineering and is working towards his PhD.

For Zachary, this power can be used to make otherwise very heavy metal objects very light. It can also be used for limited self-levitation (limited being he can't stay up there for long), in cases where Zachary is on a metal platform or wearing metal armour. When in metal armour, Kaa'is can also enhance Zachary's movement and strength (or forcibly manipulate it), by moving and manipulating the armour. The range follows the inverse square law, meaning he has to exert an ever-increasing amount of effort to move things as they get further away. Say, he can pick up something small that is 50 meters away, but something very heavy can only be picked up when it is directly beside him.
Kage Secondary Power: Machine Reading. Kaa'is can telepathically analyse machines on contact. 'Machine' in this case is used in a very, very broad sense. Living things can be considered biological machines, so can thus be analysed. Computer programs can be considered digital machines, and thus can also be analysed. There is a catch though. Analysis requires understanding. In order for an analysis to make any sense, either Kaa'is or Zachary must have an understanding of how the particular machine works, in much the same way a book only makes sense if the reader understands the language the book is in. As Zachary has a wide understanding of many physical things, this makes him an appealing Conduit for Kaa'is as this allows for a wider use of this power. Analysing a machine takes a few uninterrupted seconds, taking longer for more complex machines. Once an analysis is complete, it can be maintained for a real-time viewing of its operation. Kaa'is' primary ability and Zachary's knowledge can be applied to manipulate said machine, which can be used for repairing, sabotaging or repurposing it.

With Yrdonn's income they were far from poor but definitely didn't live in excess, only making ends meet enough to get by without much discomfort. Over the years they spent together, Yrdonn and Weston formed a strong bond as Yrdonn mentored his nephew in hunting, smithing, scholastics, and self-defense. Weston looked up to his uncle as a true father figure that was there to stay.However, getting later in his years, Yrdonn fell terribly ill and eventually passed away.
With no family left, Weston fell into a lost sadness in his later teen years. He lived alone, in the small house he once shared with his uncle, with no purpose. Only hearing of "honor" and "finding your own path" his entire life, Weston sought what was considered "honorable" by the people of Leginia: Joining the military.
Strangely enough, the day he left the city a package arrived at his house marked, "From Sam". Inside was a short blade, somewhat heavy for its size, with an orange-colored core imbedded within the pommel. Allowed to bring a keepsake and two pairs of clothing, Weston took the blade sent by his father.
Signing up wasn't difficult, as many companies, industries, and infrastructure was publicized by the government and employed by the military. Within two weeks, Weston was sent on a shuttle to take his exams and physicals in Gaia, then sent to basic training. Used to a spartan lifestyle, Weston didn't have as much trouble as many other recruits, but struggled in this warm strange place nonetheless. From here on, the years seemed to fly by as the army assigned him to numerous standard missions ranging from town guard for a few months to exterminator for a couple days.
Weston's performance gained him promotions over the years until he was put in charge of a four-person squad and given a very different kind of mission. A small insurrection in northeast Valira began striking riots, killing over a dozen citizens in thier wake. Weston was sent with ten other units to quell the outbreak with minimal casualties.
However successful the mission ended up being however, Weston had been forced to kill his first real people. With his father's sword, he stabbed a woman in her thirties firing a modified Water Core pressure hose--a device originally used for crops, but altered to partially freeze the water for deadly effect--at his squad. The event sent him into another confused period, doubting whether this was the path his uncle wanted him to take. Eventually, he resigned himself to the belief that he had saved innocent lives and assisted in preserving the centuries-long peace.
Once again, time blurred as Weston was awarded for his valor in that mission and others to come. The blur was lessened by the company of his squad, whom he had befriended and grown quite close with. Eventually, Weston was made captain and stationed on the edge of Arcarus as an officer.

Personality: Arianna has always had a curious soul since the day she was born. She’s always been drawn to new knowledge and facts about the world around her. Her upbringing taught her that there is always a good side of anything. Thanks to her knowledge, she certainly isn’t afraid to stand up for her beliefs. She cares for those close to her immensely, although at times she may seem distant. Arianna is what you would call an introvert, and the title suits her. While she can be reserved and quiet, she can also be outgoing in comfortable situations. Arianna isn’t as perfect as she might seem, though. She’s almost an open book, though she tries to hide her inner feelings. She is hurt easily when those close to her reject her. Arianna also has claustrophobia from once finding herself all alone and trapped in an elevator that didn’t work when she was a young girl. Just the mere thought of being trapped in a small place unnerves her.
Bio: Growing up in Argos fueled Arianna’s inquisitive mind and put her in an intelligent upbringing. Her two loving parents gave her all the books and information in the world. Her father was an field researcher of cores, and her mother a professor at the college of Argos. She was one of two that were top of her class. The other was named Iktomi. Iktomi Ascher was a boy roughly a year older than she was. She and Iktomi had a small rivalry, which neither of them really understood. Their parents were good friends, so they spent a lot of their childhood together. In the beginning it was strange for them to be around each other all the time. Their intellects clashed often, resulting in their hostility towards the other. As Arianna grew up, she and Iktomi’s relationship molded. Throughout elementary school they often bullied each other. Arianna would often use her mind and words, and Iktomi did the same. As Arianna matured into a 6th grader, she began to realize that their fighting was useless. In school, she no longer was bothered by his presence. She tolerated having him around, and when his family was over for dinner, she didn’t mind spending time with him. In the summer between 8th and 9th grade, each barely had time to see each other. When they did, they exchanged friendly smiles and then went on their way. As 9th grade started, though, they found themselves in the same classes. Soon they began to talk with each other, and by the end of the year they were best friends. Arianna felt a strange, new feeling towards him start to grow. She realized that, if given the chance and appropriate time, Arianna would think of them as more than best friends. Around the time she was fifteen, Arianna discovered that her curiosity was still not satisfied by the knowledge of Arcarus, and decided that she would move to Sovereign where she could experience life outside of her home province. Her parents wanted what was best for her, and told her she could leave as soon as she finished her studies. Arianna was grateful that they had even agreed to it, but on her own terms. Arianna did as they wished by finishing her studies, but graduated after her freshman year with flying colors. Arianna stayed in Argos until she was twenty, though, because her parents thought it would be wiser to take the path when she was an adult. Arianna waited patiently for her twentieth birthday. She grew tired of her life in Argos. Most of all, she had begun to miss Iktomi. As soon as she turned twenty, Arianna packed what she could, took the money that she would have spent on college, and parted with her family to begin life anew.

Never shall I return to this place, I shall live a life of grandeur, and make you proud Samuel is an information broker by trade and loves gossip for this very reason. He is often seen at the center of most worldly events, and is the life of any upper class party. His signature top hat and love for tea is what are most remembered from those who meet him in passing. He is a very luxurious man, who acts only for himself, and takes great joy in games of wit.
History: Samuel grew up in a poor home, in one of the poorest districts of Sovereign. His mother fell ill when he was 17 and died. He was forced to take care of his younger sister Emily for the majority of his childhood. Samuel was forced to take up thievery to get by, he was recruited into one of the more infamous underground organizations, and did jobs for them. He seemed to be a natural at remembering a story word for word. He had the ability to memorize entire documents after only one read through, and his superiors were thrilled. He became a sort of courier for the organization, and they payed him well.
Him and his sister lived a much better life than they had before, and Sam was greeted each day with a cup of his favorite tea. He was happy. This happiness was short lived however, when one night a rival gang broke into his house and ransacked the place. Sam had been out on a routine patrol, but Emily had been home. When word reached him he rushed home. What he found their haunts him to this day. His sisters cold corpse hung from the ceiling, her eyes had been stapled open, and she had been violated. The scene was horrid, Samuel vomitted and fled from his home.
The next years are a daze in Samuel mind. He went on a rampage, hunting down and personally torturing to death each person responsible for the event. After five years of this he finally caught the last culprit. It is said his screams can still be heard from the sewers beneath Sovereigns streets.
Samuel life as an informant blew up after that. Unwittingly he had become the enemy of the majority of the cities underground syndicate, and had become a wanted man with a large bounty. Samuel changed his Identity, his last name become Baxter, and his blond hair became a light brown. His eyes were changed to an unnerving golden hue, and he transformed overnight into a foreign business man from off continent. Samuel keep up this fake face and carrier whilst running his information empire on the side. H is very wealthy and very powerful, however he does not believe in unnecessary violence, and often looks for peaceful solutions to his problems.

Kage Primary power: Strings of fate: Miralda can see the attachments between a body and its soul. She can directly sever these strings and end her preys life instantaneously.
Sam gains control of his own strings of fate because of this. Not only that but he can use a portion of the strings Miralda has collected to directly control objects around him. The more strings he uses the more he can control and the more power is sapped from his own soul. Sam can hold things down with these invisible strings and cause them too move around. Much like a puppeteer. In order to attach a string to someone or something he must directly touch the point he wants the string to attach too. for instance, if he was to touch a girls shoulder, he would be able to attach a string to it. however if he were to touch her shirt the string would instead cling to the fabric.
Kage secondary power: Miralda has control over lightning, completely and totally. She can even call in grand storms upon arrival, and can conjure thunder clouds indoors or outdoors.
Sam can send a jolt of electricity through all strings he currently controls. Anything a string is attached to will feel this jolt. He directly controls the power of the electrical charge released. (He can short circuit lights and other sources of power with this ability.)

Mathias was never really a "good man" often breaking the law (or peoples legs) to improve his position, even so, it is at this current point in time that he is at his most aggressive and ruthless. Well educated, stubborn and although in possession of a reckless temper, can be patient and extremely cunning. He believes life can be played like a calculating game of cards, and he has the better hand.
Bio: Born to a poor family in Wintra, Mathias was very much a child with determination. He joined a local band of actors and entertained the citizens of Wintra from an early age, this brought in enough money to feed his family; His mother and two sisters (his father died young from medical complications). Mathias soon realized however, that more money would be needed to put himself and his sister through school, and so became a messenger for the local mafia. The years marched on, he and his sisters now educated and his mother secure for many years to come, Mathias had created a successful life for himself in the criminal underworld, rising to the top of "the food chain". Long forgotten was the boy who would entertain the masses, yet his youthful determination remained. Moving his family (sisters, mother, wife, daughter and son) to sovereign, Mathias became the kingpin of a well organised crime syndicate with interests in; narcotics, forged papers, illegal weapons and tech etc. All this success means nothing in a City like Sovereign, where even the most powerful Goliath can fall. Hearing word of a large shipment of tech, Mathias and his most trusted men went to intercept the cargo. Only to find themselves caught in a trap; with snipers trained on them, they were heavily outweighed and many died. Mathias himself was shot in the leg and soldier whilst running for cover. No matter this Ewera is a strong person which will not flutter even at the hardest tasks or greatest perils, otherwise she is a normal person, with a calm nature in most cases and with a healthy amount of self-confidence and open enough to easily makes friends, as long as they don't mind her sometimes harsh and true opinions about, amongst other things, themselves.

After the first seven year of her life which were quite uneventful she started to climb mountains and during the next seven years with shear will and training Ewera became the best mountain climber in her village and one of the best in all Warshire. It was while she was climbing one of the mountains of her local area, that she discovered what will make most of her life from then on. On a flat part near the peak of a mountain, remains a long forgotten battle from the Core Crusade were present with dozens of ice encased dead laying around and admits this frozen landscape a single Core. Drawn and mesmerized by it Ewera fell to her knees and remained there in silence for four hours before she was found by fellow climbers which came looking for her. But even after she was taken back to the village, Ewera cloud not forget the Core and started to study and learn about them, but after realizing how little talent for understanding their inter-working she had, she turned to the closes thing related with Cores that she proved good at, which was making objects which used Cores in any way. After two years of working in the village with machines and weapons, her talent was noted by a Wintra craftsman and she was called to study about under him about this craftsmanship in the province capital. During this time she grew, made friends, and stared a team (this was Team Makka, Ewera, Assiu & Rella Design [Team MEAR Design], a team off three talented mechanics and one talented designer which worked under the care of one of Wintra's greatest mechanics Alwar Hemmar) which produced a number of military and other technology which used Cores. This was up until a few days before the story starts when a job offer, bigger than any that one could hope to receive so young, a well paid request for a custom build Core sword asking especially from her came from a Sovereign citizen, which would mean going to this greatest city on the continent, if not the world. She accepted and after making the needed preparations and with a teary goodbye from her friends, ex-customers, customers, craft shop colleges and so on, she left for the capital of the continent with a promise to come and visit from time to time and hopefully to reconnect with some of them in Sovereign.

Blaze Ewera Special (BES)
The Blaze is a Light Core powered Photonic Laser gun. It literary melt or set ablaze anything in that the beams hits. Still the power of the beam is only effective on materials which are bad at absorbing heat like wood, living tissue and similar. Ewera modified it to improve beam strength and concentration, which results in a faster heating up of the hit target. Since the laser is generated directly by the Light Core the heat is concentrated in the beam, heating the gun as much as a chemical propellant for bullets would do.

Razor is a blade made by uses Kinetic Cores to propel diamond dust between two gloves connected to each other to minimalism diamond dust loss. When there is both one glove acting as an emitter and the other acting as a receiver, an arch of deadly fast diamond dust capable of cutting trough almost anything, is formed. Just to be sure Ewera installed systems which make sure that she will not cut herself with the Razor, automatically turning it off it the "blade" comes near her skin or if it is accidentally turned on while this would lead to her injury.
Without light the Razor is next to invisible but when subjected to light it appears like an ever-changing arch of light dots which if looked from the right angle can even form a rainbow.

Ewera Special Armor (ESA)
Except for the usual functions as a Kinetic Armor the ESA was also modified so it can use its Kinetic Cores and Wind Cores to propel itself for some time, just like a jump pack from C&C, allowing flight over chasms, terrain irregularities or scaling a cliff or steep slope. It looks like any ordinary Kinetic Armor.
The Hallowback (By Ewera: Hallowshit, Ever-breaking Garbage ...) Ewera Modified
Designed as a fast military & police all-terrain transportation hover vehicle the Hallowback is designed to be able to change and remove the weapon mounted on it. It was designed by Team MEAR Designs for the police and military of Wintra. Somehow the prototype of this vehicle ended up in Ewera's hand as a goodbye gift from the Wintra military for the five years of her services as a mechanic for them. The Hallowback is a hover vehicle which, excluding the driver, co-driver and gunner (the last is optional), can transport up to a ton of supplies(up to 5 cubic meters of volume) or twelve fully geared soldiers. Since Ewera won't be driving around a bunch of soldier she modified most of the transportation area into a mobile workshop. Still two seats for transportation, some cargo space and even the first aid station have been left.
Note: During the year after the appearance of the Void's Gate Ewera modified a Lightning Core based military grade turret to serve as Hallowback's turret. She made it so the turret can be manned from the Hallowback's gunner post and that it can fire in Stun (Taser-strength), Lethal and Overkill mode. Also she usually keeps the Hallowback hidden and uses it as a mobile home and base of operations so the turret is a weapon of last desperation as well as intimidation if someone stumbles upon the vehicle.

Except for the usual functions as a Kinetic Armor the ESA was also modified so it can use its Kinetic Cores and Wind Cores to propel itself for some time, just like a jump pack from C&C, allowing flight over chasms, terrain irregularities or scaling a cliff or steep slope. It looks like any ordinary Kinetic Armor.
The Hallowback (By Ewera: Hallowshit, Ever-breaking Garbage ...) Ewera Modified
Designed as a fast military & police all-terrain transportation hover vehicle the Hallowback is designed to be able to change and remove the weapon mounted on it. It was designed by Team MEAR Designs for the police and military of Wintra. Somehow the prototype of this vehicle ended up in Ewera's hand as a goodbye gift from the Wintra military for the five years of her services as a mechanic for them. The Hallowback is a hover vehicle which, excluding the driver, co-driver and gunner (the last is optional), can transport up to a ton of supplies(up to 5 cubic meters of volume) or twelve fully geared soldiers. Since Ewera won't be driving around a bunch of soldier she modified most of the transportation area into a mobile workshop. Still two seats for transportation, some cargo space and even the first aid station have been left.
Note: During the year after the appearance of the Void's Gate Ewera modified a Lightning Core based military grade turret to serve as Hallowback's turret. She made it so the turret can be manned from the Hallowback's gunner post and that it can fire in Stun (Taser-strength), Lethal and Overkill mode. Also she usually keeps the Hallowback hidden and uses it as a mobile home and base of operations so the turret is a weapon of last desperation as well as intimidation if someone stumbles upon the vehicle.

Note for all equipment that Ewera uses: During the year after the appearance of the Void's Gate Ewera extensively reworked her equipment to spend as little of Core power or whatever other power sources it uses, as possible.
Like it had been taken right off the production line before it could even be painted and armed a Hallowback transport without its dual cannon lacking military markings and shining in the silver-grey color of the steel that is was made of, driven up to one of the ridges rising north of the city of Sovereign, and stopped. From it a young woman, partially covered in metal dust and grease came out from the Hallowback with binoculars swinging back and forth on a strap around her neck, stepped away from the transport and used a rug from one of her pockets to clean up the muddied-up Wintra registration of the transport. Then without any haste in her movements she moved to the right of the Hallowback, from where the large transport, which hovered almost silently above ground, would not block her view of the majestic city which risen in the distance. She reached for the binoculars around her neck, raised them up to her eyes and pointed herself and the binoculars towards the city of Sovereign. It the few short moments that she observed the city were enough for her to speak up her mind, trough she only uttered, being struck by the magnificence of Sovereign: "Ss-oo-o this is Sovereign? No wonder they call it the greatest city in the world. There are no words to describe it or at least I can't find them. Even Wintra is nothing compared to this." As she put down the binoculars she sighted, scared a little of the city before her and said: "Well time to go! Hope this Rusty Bucket of Hallow Breakdowns lasts until I get it to it and experience it firsthand." Then she went back into the vehicle, started it again and headed downhill towards the city of Sovereign...
The next two hours were extremely boring and empty of events as the woman and her trusty had hovered over the lands on their way to the city. But as soon as the hovering vehicle had entered the city the woman started to ask around for directions, trough it still took her five wrong turns and an hour of searching to find the right address. With all politeness left in her after the terrors of making her way through the streets of Sovereign the girl rang the bell on the doors of the house in which future employer resided. But instead of the doors slamming open a cold voice was heard from the other side of the doors: "The master is on a trip to the eastern edge of the continent and will not be returning until next week, if you have something to discuss with him you will have to wait until then. Goodbye and have a nice day." As soon as the voice finished talking the woman screamed out a wall of curses and in a rage unleashed a left kick on one of the covers of Hallowback's hover engines which was followed by a sharp pain in the woman's left feet, the engine whose cover was hit turning off and another wall of curses which started with: "You damn garbage of a prototype! I still wonder how you managed not to break down when we presented you to the military! You Ever-brea..." As time passed the woman's rage grew cold, the routine repair work on the hover engine helping her to cool down and half an hour or so after she begun repairing the engine it buzzed back into life, re-leveling the transport to the normal hover height of the vehicle. With no smarter thing to do the woman headed back into the transport and driven to the first motel which looked cheap enough while still having a parking lot. After leaving the Hallowback on a parking space she headed inside to get a room and hopefully food. She checked in, took the room key, quickly stopped at the small and run down restaurant to have a quick meal and then headed to the room numbered 94. She entered, left a bag with spare clothing by the entrance to the bathroom and stepped inside the small room occupied mostly by the shower and toilet utilities. She took off her clothing, which were soaked in sweet, metal dust and grease, and after making sure there is warm water she taken a long shower. As the clocks in Sovereign ticked towards midnight the woman put on only some underwear and without second thought plunged herself on the bed. "Good night Ewera," she wished to herself as the countless nights she spend awake driving the Hallowback to Sovereign now called her into the allure of a long, long sleep. Who knows maybe Ewera Joruan will even sleep until a huge event or hunger wake her up...

She said goodbye to them, thanked them for taking care of her, and left for Gaia. She traveled to Sovereign where she found an apartment in the Lower Class District. After all, it was all she could afford. On accident, Raeven found herself under the watchful eye of a mafia-like lord, who asked her to join him. He promised her that he would let her go anywhere that she wanted to go, and her rebellious spirit drove her to agree. She was trained in combat, weapons, and investigative fields, and was sent around Leginia as a small-time assassin. When she realized just what the mafia man was planning, she cut ties with him and went back to her quaint life in Sovereign. The man’s interest in her was the only thing that let her go. Otherwise, he would have killed her. It was then that Rae became a rogue, hiding in the shadows and slipping through the streets unnoticed. When the void gate opened, she was joined with a kage. She spent the last year hiding in the homeless shelters and in the streets, using her old assassin techniques to survive and protect those that she could. She had a run in with her old mafia-boss who had been bonded with an onikage, and barely made it out of the encounter alive. Personality: Miles has always had the gift of wanderlust, he feels uncomfortable when he is forced to stay in one place for a long period of time. This proved to be quite the problem for him when the wall went up around Sovereign, but he found solace when he joined a group of refugees. He found that while he was keeping their spirits up his own issues seemed to fade away.
He is a naturally caring individual, growing up in the close knit community of his ‘clan’ it was expected for everyone to look out for each other. He finds joy in easing the worries of those around him. This also leads him to be a pacifist, he just can’t bring himself to intentionally cause someone else pain. Unfortunately for Miles the world that he finds himself in is not suited for a man of his characteristics.
Despite the circumstances that have shaped his life recently, Miles has refused to let them corrupt his heart. He remains a cheerful young man with an iron will. No amount of death or loss has managed to break him of these defining characteristics.
Bio: Miles was born on the road, quite literally. His parents belonged to a group of travelers, all of which were either friends or family. The ‘clan’, as they referred to themselves as, was an extremely close knit community. As one would assume, Miles led a non typical life compared to most children. He was educated by the various members of the clan, and all of his friends were people he had known since birth. He never really paid attention to these differences, though he did in fact notice them when his clan stopped by towns/cities. He just accepted that everyone has a different experience while growing up.
Due to the constant traveling that his clan did none of them had actual jobs, instead they used special talents that they developed to earn Laurels. These talents varied as much as the people that used them, sleight of hand tricks, singing, juggling, while others picked pockets and otherwise conned people while they were distracted by the more mundane entertainers. Developing this skill is considered one of the two main trials that children have to go through, this one is at the age of 10. Miles discovered that he had a gift for playing the violin.
The rest of his childhood passed by uneventfully, just traveling the land without a care. His clan never stayed in a city for more than a couple months, always leaving just before anyone could catch on to their little schemes. Finally the time of his final trial came when he turned 16, the age that a child becomes an adult in his ‘clan’. It was time for him to leave the clan and begin wandering on his own. Most who leave the clan during this trial end up returning in a few years, but there are a rare couple who continue to wander aimlessly, some even forming clans of their own.
During the three years between the start of his trial, and his ending up in Sovereign, Miles focused his travels on cities that his clan had never stopped at. Yugeto's apparent amnesiac state has not hindered his awareness of himself, as confusing as it sounds. Neither has it deprived him of his personality, as the traits he holds now are simply magnified versions of himself prior to his odd transformation.
Bio: Weeks after the Void Gate opened, Yugeto found himself feeling...incredibly different as to his original self. Like he had lost a few pieces of himself and become fragmented, while gaining something within him that felt alien yet ominously familiar. With no recollection as to the layout of Sovereign before he had awoken, Yugeto spent the next year familiarizing himself with the desolate former-capital, learning the culture of the post-apocalyptic world, and methods to survive, while honing his ability to use Spirit.
Yugeto was never and has never been in contact with whatever entity rests inside him, but has clear access to an ability he once lacked. Over the course of a year, Yugeto's sustenance was the Spirit of humans and weak Kages and their hosts, typically Kamikages, as he fed to survive, not always taking enough Spirit to kill the being, but often times this would happen.
How Yugeto ended up in Sovereign is unbeknownst to him, and he himself cannot access, speak to, communicate with, contact, or relate with the entity that is now a part of him in any way aside from use of his power; eerily enough, Yugeto is still disturbingly self-aware of his own identity amidst a puzzling identity crisis linked to the Void Gate's opening.

Kage Primary Power: Spirit manipulation: The raw spirit energy within Yugeto is, for the most part, not converted into another form, but used as pure Spirit energy he can manipulate and use, bending it to his will. Yugeto can give/take/manipulate Spirit to/from/of humans and Kages and their hosts, but stronger Kages+their hosts (a-hem, the players) may easily limit the amount of spirit transferred and manipulated. Yugeto's power becomes stronger and harder to limit as he absorbs more Spirit over time. Yugeto must make physical contact with another human to create a spirit link which lets him control the others spirit. Only way to break a spirit link is to overcome it by channeling one's Spirit into it, exhausting one's self to a degree. A broken Spirit Link cannot be patched for a good amount of time, a timespan which decreases as Yugeto gains more spirit. Yugeto is drained very heavily once a link is broken, especially if it is one with a good amount of Spirit transferred. Yugeto can travel large distances by converting his corporeal body into Spirit Energy, but this makes him susceptible to being used as energy by a Kage/host with a stronger yield over Spirit than himself.
