A small Village right on the clasp of Chameleon Bay lays a small village called, Fanche-Yu (L7 on the map). Its a fishing village. About a week ago, the Mayor of our town could not make our payments to The Fire Nation. Our little was burned down by a fire nation legion. We are the only survivors, now we are nomads, we have been to two villages thus far and made trades and had some people join and leave. We have to make it to the other side of the country (E3) and set up shop.

Hi.

I was just wondering - why wouldn't someone learn how to use a weapon if they're a bender? I know people don't like jack of all trades, but it'd be pretty stupid to focus only on bending...

You really don't need a weapon if you're a bender, you're entire body is a weapon. Zuko only used weapons because he was hiding the fact he was a bender.

In the event that there's chi-blockers, or if you can't use your powers for some reason?

Chi blockers need to be up close, and they aren't as high in numbers in The Last Airbender time.

Brief History
Bai Shui was born 18 years ago in the Southern Water Tribe, to fishing parents. She was educated at a very early age on how to fish and harpoon, catching a variety of fish and other sea creatures. At 5, she learned the ancient art of waterbending, and became rather exceptional in the art. She used her skills to aid her in fishing. At the age of 10, she and her family were on a fishing boat, just mere miles north of the tribe, when a terrible storm appeared and wreaked chaos. Bai Shui regained consciousness 2 days later, on the southern shore of the Earth Kingdom, with her parents no where in sight.

She wandered around the Earth Kingdom as a nomad, staying near the coast in order to be able to fish for food. She purified the salty ocean water in order to drink it. With the fish she caught, she some of her catch to make some money. After about 5 years living like this, she decided it was time for a permanent home. She found the quaint fishing village of Fanche-Yu, and took her residence there. She quickly became known throughout the town, with her wonderful personality, yet fierce waterbending skills. She aided the fishers in catching fish, by not only catching more fish in a shorter period of time, but finding different types of fish.

Brief History:

Ao was always used to traveling. Her parents, desperate to get rid of the filthy swamp that they called home they packed what little bags they had and made their way across the Si Wong Desert. It was a pain staking journey, and the sun seemed to burn brighter with every passing day. After the horrible experience, Ao's parents vowed they would not settle anywere that wasn't close to a body of water. When they arrived at the small fishing town, it was perfect. Swamp Benders naturally dealt with bare-handed fishing, so it wasn't anything new. She kept rather secluded, and tried not to socialize, and she found living in this small town was almost equal to the swamp. Until the fire nation came. Her home up in flames, and her parents... didn't make it. So here she was, traveling again, at least she was used to it, because this time it would be just a bit more lonely.

Brief History: Kauzhou had a perfect, wealthy and peaceful life with his family in Ba sing se. He is the only son of the famous and respectable ale merchant, Zhi Ghua and the woman who was admired by everyone, Miza. He was born in the capital of the earth kingdom, the Ba sing se, unfortunately, his mother died delivering him. Being the only son of his father, his father gave all his time to him, cherished and loved him more than a normal parent could. He grew up never feeling the emptiness of growing without a mother, he grew up in peace, love and harmony until when the fire nation seized the Ba sing se and the Earth kingdom had fallen. His father was killed by fire nation's army and now, he wants to seek vengeance for his father who died in vain.

Name: Azar

Gender: male
Element/Weapon: firebending
Appearance: Azar is 6 feet tall, with shaggy black hair and gold colored eyes. His body shape is rather muscular, long hours of hard work giving him the body that he has now. His stomach, and side is scarred from a burn that he received when he was banished. He has a small goatee that he keeps trimmed and well kept. He wears typical earth kingdom clothes in order to blend in better, but still has his fire nation army armor.
Brief History: Azar was forced by his father to join the fire nation army as soon has he was of age to do so. However, he wasn't the model soldier. He disobeyed orders, and one action put it over the line. It was found that he was helping the earth nation villages, especially one when he began fighting with them, he was captured and brought to the fire lord, where he was banished. He found himself back in the same area that he was trying to protect, but now he was no longer considered part of the fire nation. He easily switched to the earth kingdom, secretly practicing his bending.

Brief History: A drunkard at heart, Shen wandered about after her parents kicked her out due to the fact that she drank insane amounts of alcohol. She believes that her liver is the strongest in all of the land, and hasn't yet managed to die of alcohol poisoning. She traveled about, doing odd jobs and earning money to feed herself(Still leaving some money behind to drink.) Even if she was an 18 year old girl, she believes herself to be a grown adult, and drank to her hearts pleasure.
Generally, she never knew the earth kingdom got attacked until it was headlined.

Brief History: Taeyeon's parents died when she was young- well when she was a baby. Ever since then, she has been living in the water tribe alone. But she wanted to do something more, like go on adventures and all. She knew that she had a special gift because she was herself a water bender. And ever since then, Taeyeon has been learning how to use her bending abilities better and to use them to defend herself against those benders who think, killing and hurting people is fun. All Taeyeon wanted was a good life, with her parents and going to school and all of that, but it seems like she didn't get that at all. But she didn't complain about her life as she has now, it was good, not perfect, but good.

Brief History: breaking the chain in his family, lee changed from a simple salt miner to a martial artist with gusto, learning simple boxing and muay thia and going on to spar with anyone he go the chance to. After a fight with a crane master he unleashed his earth bending powers, something he knew he had but was very weak with. this time how ever he was very powerful, and learning that he went on to try to enhance his earth bending skills by challenging other benders.
