Hm... I wonder how we can get more people... I'm going to start this role-play either Saturday or next week, depending on how many people we have. Oh, and if I'm going to get rained on with homework, which is least likely since the semester is ending.

It's fine, it's fine! I still have to do homework. I'm also double checking the roleplay and see if I have missed any plot gaps or so.

You can do it Savi! I have faith! Unless you don't really want to do it, in which case you can leave it to someone else.

Hey, I was reading over your profiles - can you specify on the abilities of the Love Doves? They're vague, and leave quite a few questions.
o1 . What is the healing? Self-healing? Healing others? Minor injuries, like cuts and bruises?
o2 . What part of sanguinary magic?
o3 . What is ether, what does it do? What part?
o4 . What kind of barriers? Mental? Physical? Do they shield themselves, or others?

Don't rush it! But we are looking forward to a queen~!

Are you aware what a queen regent is ( and does? )
"A regent, from the Latin regens, "[one] reigning", or regency council is a person or group of persons selected to act as head of state because the ruler is a minor, not present, or debilitated."

Auberon is not a minor - he is nineteen years of age. He's clearly present - he has not defected from or betrayed his kingdom. And he is not debilitated - he is neither ill nor seriously injured.
If you are so dead-set on not having Kyalia take her rightful place as queen, then so be it - she shall be a princess, but I do expect proper reasoning behind it. "She didn't want to take the throne because she was antisocial." is not a reason that would hold any water before royal court in the aftermath of an assassination.

Queen Regent is the woman who takes place of the Queen but is not the coronated Queen. If it was medieval times it would have been patriarchal and so while she was Queen for now, she would have to step down when the King gets married, correct? She is not the full Queen, she is stepping in until he gets a wife.

Furthermore, it's why she did get the throne. And she has serious depression and anxiety issues. She knows she is not a good fit for the throne and she wants the kingdom to have a monarchy who can actually function in society, unlike her. But I did make her Queen(and am realizing this minute I forgot to change that in the CS).

This is not medieval times - I do not recall that this was mentioned in the first post, or even in the second. If it was, then I am incorrect, and I apologize.
But the fact that we have kingdoms, kings, queens, and the like does not have to mean it is medieval. We have outlined the basics, and have attempted to expand on them to help anyone who joins understand the mechanics.
Also, I haven't found a single source ( as of yet ) which describes the queen regent as such. What I have found :
"A regent, from the Latin regens, "[one] reigning", or regency council is a person or group of persons selected to act as head of state because the ruler is a minor, not present, or debilitated."

queen regent

— n
a queen who acts as regent

queen regent
n
1. (Government, Politics & Diplomacy) a queen who acts as regent

queen′ re′gent
n.
1. a queen who reigns in behalf of another.

eᴅiᴛ : : I don't wish for this to become a huge thing, but I don't appreciate disrespect. This roleplay is important to Touhoure and I, and I hope you can understand that.

I mean no disrespect but I know what a regent it...it is someone who acts in place of another when they are otherwise disposed. She is acting on behalf of another...someone who isn't there. All those definitions mean they are the Acting Queen and she is the Acting Queen, because when the King gets married, his wife becomes Queen, right?

I know this is important to you and I want to be a part of it without disrespecting anyone, and I'm sorry if you felt I was disrespecting you. I was just trying to show you that I do know what a Queen Regent is.

I'll get on that as soon as I can not be sarcastic about it. Your 'one element' rule is already enough to cripple the roles my Cursed played last time. I don't mean disrespect, but I was under the impression Touhoure trusted me with my characters.

Whoa, whoa. Everybody! Come on!

Chill!

EDIT: I'll just put my opinion down here.

Let's just move on from this whole "queen regent" issue before this situation escalates, cause now I'm getting confused with "queen regnant," which actually means a "queen that acts on her own behalf." This is already becoming a noticeable problem because in a matter of a few posts, more people are commenting some stuff I have no idea of.

These sorts of arguments or opinions should usually be discussed via PM to preserve the freshness of the roleplay and appeal to new users. It's hard and awkward to move an argument to the PM system, but it's so worth it for the sake of the roleplay you're in. Falsified disrespect should never be classified or mentioned, because you're not being Fonz-cool anymore.

...I'm getting lazy and running out of time, so I better finish this quick.

I could make an essay out of this, so I'll just go "tl;dr" mode right now.

It don't matter if someone's thought sounds stupid (this is coming from a man who thought this argument was neither useful nor entertaining, no offense); let's be chill and forget about this before I put that Schwartzenegger-chemical bomb back up.

20 times zoomed in this time.

Before things just fall apart entirely, I'm going to call it a night. I'm not looking to please everyone - or to piss everyone off, either.
However, I'm not going to say I'm not irritated - because I am. It's not anyone's specific fault, and part of it is because of myself.
Chances are, I won't be back in the thread for at least twelve hours, possibly more, unless Touhoure needs me here.

If you have any more questions, direct them to Touhoure through PMs - she's working on homework right now, though, so she might not get back to you right away. ( As stated, she's doing homework, and she asked me to pass along that message. )

Have a good night's sleep. I dearly hope you feel better; I'm always hoping for people to feel great at all times, after all.

Can you like... nevermind? Small comments like that, though with the best intentions, can irritate, which is the last thing we need.

I'm thinking about how I should do this role-play, seeing that everything has blown up... -grumble mumble-
I would just revise the rules, however I've already pushed so far to enforce the currently ones... Choices, choices....

I am sorry if I seemed like a rude bastard. I apologize for my inappropriate behavior. (That was quite rude of me, IMO)

On another note, updating the rules sounds like a really good idea. Some of them are not rules at all, but rather, should be placed somewhere else. For example, the credittal rule for Wisp and TaroAndSeila should be moved to somewhere different (maybe the top of the first post). And some OOC rules would be nice additions, though they probably won't be much to talk about.

But please keep the Commandments rule. Just don't erase it. Period. ._.

I mean Elizabeth of York, the Queen to King Henry the 7th and married into the Tudor house, unifying the York and the Lancaster households and ending the War of the Roses. I always called her Elizabeth of Tudor because she was the original Elizabeth of Tudor. That's a regional thing, sorry. And Elizabeth the 1st wasn't a bastard...Anne was Queen Consort and she was married to Henry the 8th when Elizabeth was born so under the Church's eyes she was a legitimate heir. Which didn't even matter in the end because Queen Mary of Scotland got the throne anyways haha

I never mentioned Elizabeth of York. I mentioned the bastardization of Elizabeth. And yes, the Church did see Elizabeth as a bastard because the Church was created by Henry the 8th so he could divorce his wife, Catherine. Thus, because Henry named her a bastard, the Church saw her as one. Queen Mary was, as I said before, also Henry's daughter that he named a bastard. So technically, Mary was not of Scotland (if you're looking at it from your angle.). Anne may have been married to Henry at the time of Elizabeth's birth, but because she could not bear a son and thus breaking her promise to Henry, Henry wanted to get rid of her. He said she was sleeping with many lovers, including her own brother, and that Elizabeth was not his. SO SHE WAS NAMED A BASTARD AND SENT AWAY TO LIVE IN THE COUNTRY WHILE HER MOTHER WAS BEHEADED. Mocking me, miss; when you have not presented anything true to the table is completely uncalled for and now you have angered me. I know all of this and more because of my huge fangirl heart for the story of Anne and Elizabeth. I don't want to continue the arguement, but being uninformed about what is true and what isn't and then mockingly laugh about it is quite rude and inconsiderate. I am a very kind person, but when people mock me or try to outsmart me on something I know and then laugh, I get angry.
