Maxine groaned at the sound of her phone ringing early this morning. She rolled over in her bed and reached out on the nightstand, grasping it and seen it was her boss. "Hello there, Mr. Houston." She said cheerfully, even though she was still a little bit sleepy. Her boss was telling her that another murder had taken downtown and that he wanted her to go down there and get the extra, juicy details and report them back to him. She nodded her head at every word then answered back to him. "Yes Sir. I'll get right on it." She then hung the phone up and threw the phone back to where it was. She laid back down for a few minutes then hopped out of the bed and went into her bathroom. She stared at herself in the mirror then removed the hair from over her face. Clearly she wasn't a morning person but she was now a detective so she had to make some sacrifies at any cost.

After spending a few minutes in the bathroom, showering, brushing her teeth and combing her hair and tying it up into a bun, she finally got dressed up in a gray pants, with heels to match. She walked over to full size mirror and placed her hands upon her hips and turned from side to side with a smile. She waltzed over to her make-up area and sat down then applied make-up to her face, topping everything off with cherry red lipstick. She puckered her lips together then squealed as she got up from her seated position and grabbed herself a black trench coat and headed outside.

She raised her hand up and waved it while yelling for a taxi - Multiple of them stopped at the near sight of her. She smiled and got into the nearest one. "Downtown, please." She said as the driver nodded his head and headed that way. "You know, a murder just happened there. Are you sure you want to go there? It might be impossible." The driver said as she rolled her eyes. "Just get close as you possibly can and I'll walk the rest of the way. Sound good?" The driver nodded his head then stopped the car. "Or you could get out now." He said as Maxine scoffed then got out of the taxi while slamming the door shut. "Vermin!" She yelled out while looking left and right then turning heel and walking towards downtown. Luckily, she really didn't have far to walk and she was doing it, in heels. She cursed under breath as another taxi pulled up beside her.

"Thanks." She said as she got in. "I'm going downtown, by the way." The driver gave a thumbs up and headed towards downtown.

"Thank you." Maxine said with a smile as she paid the cab driver and got out. She then placed on her leather gloves and walked over to the scene. "Hello there, officer. What happened here?" She asked while kneeling down beside the body. "They were shot multiple times. What does it look like, lady?" Maxine got up to her feet quickly and fixed her eyes upon the officer with a smile. "You haven't had much sleep, have you? They had to call you on your day off, right?" The officer stammered through his words. "I can tell because your uniform is not on properly, you missed a belt loop and you have bag underneath your eyes. I am Detective Maxine and I am here to help solve this crime. You either respect me or solve this yourself. Remember my name. Learn it, live it and love it!" She spat while turning back towards the body and kneeling down again.

"Looks like our three o'clock is here." She said as her ears twitched when she heard word that Sherlock Holmes had just arrived. A small smirk appeared across her face as she didn't want to pay him any attention right now. She pulled out a pair of tweezers and started clipping them on certain pieces of clothing and moving them around to see exactly how many bullets went through and which one killed him.

Maxine is very observant so she could tell things off the type of their heads.

When ever there was a case, it was very rare that Sherlock wouldn't show up. He liked cases and normally got very bored if he didn't have one. Even if he wasn't wanted there, he was likely to show up. It didn't seem to matter if he was tired and hadn't had any sleep. The detective was up early and ready for a case.
Which was no different then this morning. He was up and ready for the case. Sherlock didn't even bother with breakfast. He knew John would nag him to eat. But he was mostly one to ingore that advice .

"John I have a case, you can come , otherwise I'm going now." Sherlock replied. He grabbed his scarf and headed towards the door. He narrowed his eyes as if waiting for John to tell him off for not eating breakfast.
"Sherlock you have to eat something," John said nagging him. He had his arms crossed. He wasn't going to pity Sherlock if he collasped from exhaustion or was dizzy from not eating. He knew Sherlock was always more interested in cases.
"Eating will just slow me down and I am in a hurry," He excliamed. He didn't want to miss out of too much. He wasn't expecting anybody else to be there. As it turned out John had stuff to do and wasn't coming with him.

Sherlock headed out and called a cab. He was getting fustrated waiting for the cab to come. He told the cab driver the address and he got in. He seemed to be thinking, Sherlock never seemed to thank the cab driver either. When he arrived at the crime scene he got out and looked around. He was tired but he seemed far too alert for somebody who was tired. Though it normally came back to get him later.
He snapped at some cops to get out of the way because he had work to do. He seemed to just treat them like idoits as usaul.

He looked at Maxine and narrowed his eyes "What are you doing here? This is my case." Well he had assumed that wether Lestrade ever called him or not.

Maxine heard Sherlock's footsteps approaching and got up then turned to him with a bright smile. "Well, is that anyway to speak to a lady?" She asked while placing her hands upon her hips. Her eyes were fixed to John's as she extended her hand out towards him. "Hello there, I am Maxine. And your Sherlock's boyfriend, correct?" John didn't even bother shaking her hand after that comment as she looked at them both. "Well, you two are quite the gentlemen, aren't you? It seems that someone didn't get some action last night." She winked at them both then circled around Sherlock, tapping her index finger against her chin as she then stopped in front of him. "Here." Maxine pulled out a breakfast bar from her pocket. "I know you didn't eat breakfast. John must didn't cook for you." She tsk'ed while looking at John. "That's not being a very good boyfriend."

Maxine then turned around and examined the body again while talking towards Sherlock and John. "And while answering your question, I am working this case as well. Now, while I don't answer to no one but my boss, I will be willing to work with you on this one." She lied. She was going to do all the work herself. A small smirk curved among her lips as she eyed the body again. "This male was assassinated. Most of the bullet wounds didn't pierce through, so the killer was located in an off distant. Perhaps that building right there, or there, or maybe, even right there." She pointed at various buildings then looked up at them both with another killer smile.

"Your guys thoughts? Well, John doesn't really say much so Sherlock, your thoughts?" She asked towards him while stepping back over towards him, waiting to hear his response.

Sherlock was looking at her. He didn't think she was the sort to be doing this kind of thing. He had hardly come across any female detectives before either. He did consider himself better than any of the other detectives.
"Is when your in my way." Sherlock stated plainly.
He huffed when he she asked if John was his boyfriend. Sherlock didn't know why people thought that. Sherlock wasn't good with people and considered John his only friend, though he didn't openly admit that much.
He narrowed his eyes when she offered him food. "I don't need to eat when I am on a case, It will slow me down."

"Sherlock eat something." John huffed "Doctors orders." he was smirking slightly. He knew Sherlock was stubborn and wouldn't give in so easily. He looked around "Stop trying to act like your not human."

He didn't want her taking over "Work with me? " He huffed "I solve the cases and John helps me, I don't work with other detectives." He said in a rather rude manner. He never seemed aware of other peoples feelings. He didn't like the fact she was almost as smart as him. He wouldn't consider the fact she could be smarter or as smart as, IT was almost only to him.
He was looking at the body and thinking for a bit. He seemed to be decuding things about the sitution. "Well aside from not needing your opinion, " he was sure he already knew the answer "Its none of them." He stated, He wasn't going to say it all at once.

Maxine grinned widely at Sherlock's rude behavior then rolled her eyes.

She watched as Sherlock worked his magic and nearly wanted to jump on him and do the deed in front of everyone there. She had to fight her urges and laugh at the thought in her mind. She walked towards John and whispered to him. "How do you feel about working with Sherlock?" She asked. "Well, it's challenging at times and me and him have had our differences but I like it, he knows his shit." John accent was to die for, but not like Sherlock's. "Good to know." She smiled without showing any teeth this time as she listened to Sherlock. He seemed like he was trying to tell her that she was wrong. "Well, I know for a fact that it had to be from one of those buildings." She said while resting her hands upon her hips. She tapped her foot against the ground, waiting for someone to say something.

She grew impatient rather quickly then just turned to walk away. 'Son of a bitch. Having the nerve to tell me that I am wrong.' She thought to herself while marching off. She raised her hand up and called for a taxi but neither one of them stopped for her. "What is this?! Don't stop for the cutest female day!" She huffed and started marching down the street and going to the nearest cafè. She knew that this is the one where Sherlock and John usually eat at but she knew what she was doing. Maxine took a seat in the back so that she couldn't be seen. If Sherlock and John was to come in, she wanted to hear all the details about the crime and add her comments to what was being said.

Sherlock huffed, He was sure that he was right. He hated it when women always thought they were right. Sherlock was hardly ever wrong. Even when he was wrong he didn't admit it, nor did he ever seem to apolgize.
Many people thought he was arrogant, He knew that and didn't ever seem to care what others thought of him. He was keeping alert and looking for more clues. He was very alert as he looked around.

He noticed that she didn't even wait to see what he was going to say, He didn't think she was that into the case if she wasn't going to stick around to wait to see what he had to say.
Well if she was going to be that way. Then he might as well try get some more clues. He looked around to examine what else he could. He was rather interested in this case. He wished he didn't have to share it with her.

"MIght as well go discuss it with her," John told him "You are going to have to get used to working with her." John knew Sherlock wasn't going to want to. He doubted Sherlock would be nice to her.
The detective blinked and followed John to the cafe. He really didn't intend to be nice to her. She was in his way as far as he was concerned. She was also annoying him greatly.

Maxine looked up and seen a waiter come over to her. "Can I help you with something, Miss?" He asked politely as she looked up at him with a smile. "Yes, I'll have the eggs and waffles with a coffee, please. Black." The waiter wrote the order down the smiled before turning heel and walking to the back to place her order. She waited as she turned and seen that Sherlock and John were approaching. 'Shit.' She thought to herself while turning around, hoping not to be seen. Maxine grabbed a menu, placing it up to hide her face as she occasionally looked over at them then turned her head. But of course, she forgot that she was wearing the clothing that he had already and knew she would be instantly spotted in his eyes.

She jumped when the waiter brought over her order as she shook her head. "Sorry. With all these murders needing to be solve and I'm the one to solve..." The waiter walked away from her, immediately going over towards Sherlock and John. Maxine slammed her hand down on the table raising up from her seat and walking over towards them. "I was talking to you. It's rude to just walk away from someone, especially a hardcore female as myself." Maxine huffed while straightened herself out. Her eyes were now fixed on Sherlock and John. "So, anything new I should know about?" She asked while folding her arms over her chest, raising a brow up at them.

Her eyes flickered towards the outside as she seen a blue box zoom across the sky. "What the...?" She tilted her head to the side, knowing that it had been a long day. She shook her head and turned heel, waving her index finger for Sherlock and John to follow her to her table. Maxine lifted a brow as she seen two unusual people walk into the diner, arguing.

"Damn it, Doctor!" Selena shrilled while walking into the diner, dusting herself off. "I told you that it wasn't going to work. A women is always right." She huffed while turning heel away from him and walking up to the counter. "Uhmm, sorry Miss but if you want order to be taken then you'll have to take a seat and wait to be waited on." The male behind the counter said as she scoffed and turned to the Doctor. "While we sit and wait, you better be formulating a plan on how to get us back to where we came from." She said while looking over and seeing some female eye them as she raised a brow. "What you looking at?" Maxine lowered her head and looked away. She could've cursed the woman out but it wouldn't very lady like.

Selena sat down at the nearest table and looked up at the Doctor. "I hope that brain of yours is steaming up there." She looked back down, twiddling her thumbs with one another.

Sherlock was looking at her, He narrowed his eyes angrily. He didn't want to talk to her. He wanted to just solve this case with John like he always did. It seemed he wasn't going to get his way.
"Sherlock you should at least get something to eat." John said to him. He could hear Sherlock's stomach was growling. He knew that Sherlock would crash if he didn't eat. He was hoping Sherlock would eat.
"I don't need to eat," The detective snapped.

He was looking at her. "There is a mysterious lack of any other evidence, I need to look into it more, But it cant have been any of those buildings" He told her, He was looking rather annoyed with her for some reason.
The detective didn't think it was going to be that great to work with her. It was also too much of a change for him. He wasn't used to working with another detective as smart as him.
"I don't need you to solve this." he growled.

"Sherlock could you not start a scene in here." John sighed and ordered them both food knowing he would have to force Sherlock to eat something. He too noticed Selena and the Doctor. He wondered who they were. He hadn't really seen them around before. Sherlock had seen them but was pretending that he hadn't noticed, unless he saw any reason to talk to them he wasn't interested.
Though he sighed in annoyance when he saw that John had ordered him some food. Coffee wasn't so bad. But he didn't want food, despite the fact his stomach was growling. He was too damn busy.

The Doctor was looking at her. He huffed "Yeah Yeah." he grinned a bit after "But London is fun, always something exciting happenes here I don't want to leave yet, the TARDIS sensed something interesting." He didn't want to aruge with her "I always know what I am doing." he said defensvily. He was sure that he did. Even when things went wrong he was able to get them out of tough situtions.
He noticed SHerlock and John. He knew who they were. "Oh and there is no easy evidence because its of alien influence."
He smiled even wider and he walked over. "Hello!" he said briightly "I'm the Doctor." He could see Sherlock was looking at him like he was rather mad.

"The Doctor, what kind of name is that... Doctor Who?" Sherlock narrowed his eyes "And aliens complete nonsense." , he was trying to see what he could read from looking at the man. But it just made is head hurt.
"Your Sherlock Holmes and John Watson right?" The Doctor was sure he knew who they were. Sherlock was famous and the Doctor did know alot. He noticed Sherlock was focusing hard on him.
"Yes.." Sherlock said sounding a bit bored.

Maxine looked at Sherlock and John then went on to eat her food as Sherlock talked. Her ears twitched when he said that the shooting couldn't have came from one of those buildings. "Then where?" She asked while lifting a brow. With the shrug of her shoulders, she leaned up a little. "Sherlock, I know that you are hard to get along with but..." Before she could finish, an annoying male came over and introduced himself as The Doctor. Her eyes narrowed towards him as she held up her index finger towards him. "Excuse me but I was talking before you came over and interrupted." John sighed while not really her or Sherlock to get into an argument with this male.

John sat there eating his food as Maxine and Sherlock seemed like they had the same idea and really didn't want to talk to this male. Maxine rolled her eyes from The Doctor then turned her gaze back towards Sherlock. "Like I was saying, please let me work with you guys." She basically pleaded as she saw the female coming over now. "Sorry, I hope he isn't bothering you guys." She said while wrapping her arm with The Doctor's. "He is so happy to be in the same room with Sherlock and John here. I'll take him back now." She said with a smile as Maxine basically waved them away. Her eyes fluttered over to John as she asked him a question. "How would you feel if I worked with you guys?" John eyes widened as he turned to stare at Sherlock then back at Maxine. "I think it's a wonderful idea because when I have dates then Sherlock will have another partner he can rely on." Was his response and it made Maxine smile widely.

Selena smiled then removed her arm from The Doctor's. "God, you really need to calm yourself." She could see the excitement vibrating off of him. "I'm not even hungry anymore." She said softly while narrowing her eyes towards the outside. "Let's go to the blue box or whatever you call it so I can go home." Selena said while pushing the door forward and walking outside, where she stood on the sidewalk, arms folded over her chest and her foot tapping against the concrete.

Sherlock huffed and looked at her. He still didn't want to work with her " I don't want to work with you." He growled. The detective was sure that it was just going to be diffcult when she didn't agree with him.
"Mmphh up above... can't have been any other way, But how I am not sure." He was sure there was something off about this crime. That was why it had interested him in the first place. He was grumbling and eating the food that was brought to him because John stood there making sure the detective ate something.
"Mmmh I don't need another parnter." Expecially not one who was as smart as him, he thought.

The Doctor was looking at Maxine. "Well what I have to say is important." He knew he couldn't help butting in on the conversation. He was sure that he could help solve the case. He had wanted to help Sherlock with something for a long time.
He though was pulled away by Selena. He looked disapointed.

"Home? but there is interesting things going on." The Doctor didn't want to leave yet. He wasn't used to companions wanting to leave a sitution so soon. He knew that aliens were involved and he wanted to check it out.
Sherlock was looking towards the Doctor and Selena. He huffed. He wasn't sure what was so great about that guy. He didn't think the strange man could possibly know anything about the case. He narrowed his eyes. Unless he was the one who had caused it.
