Zoids RP?

I am a pretty big fan, as it was a big part of my childhood (mainly the Chaotic Century and Guardian Force seasons), so I was wondering if there are other fans out there that would be interested in joining one? I honestly have no idea how I want to do it plot-wise, but I do know that It'll probably take place in the same time period that CC and GF took place in. I'm not sure if I want to do something taking place after the events of the anime, during the events, or simply a completely original story-line (I'm leaning toward original).

I'm mainly curious to know if there's a fan-base for the anime on this site.

I've always liked zoids =D It's too bad they haven't done anything new, but i figured the drive to create more of it started to die out about the time they started sexualizing the out-fits for some of the characters and the time that one Xbox game came into being and turned out to be a worthless piece of crap [there were a couple good ones tough =D]

Also, just about anyone's account on this site is going to look new given that the site was reborn a few months back =P I've personally been around 2 years but it doesn't look like it =P

It's good to see some people would be interested in a Zoids RP. RpgGamer mentioned not wanting to do an advanced level RP, though. Would you and Lovergames be in the same boat?

I'm okay with advanced RP, long as it's not the elitist bullshit I've encountered in past experiences XD I like the detail and quality of RP, but 'some' people in advanced have a whole house up their ass... I was Once kicked out of a warhammer RP because my character had unusual eye color >.>

I'm no elitist, but I do expect people who join my RPs to be creative and decent writers, which I just take at people's word. I don't require post samples. I've only kicked people for inactivity so far.

As for "unusual" eye color: Haha, yea, if there's something I don't want in people's characters, I usually make it clear, but if I didn't that would be my fault and certainly wouldn't warrant a kick. In the context of Zoids, I naturally wouldn't want somebody using a Death Saurer from the get go =) but I want to make the RP friendly to people who aren't familiar with the source material, so all that stuff will be clear.

I like the response I've gotten to this, so I'm going to start thinking about a plot. As soon as I have everything written out, you will all be contacted to see if you'd still be interested.

Sorry, but this was just an interest check. It'll be a month or two before I have something written up. I usually spend a lot of time with new RP plots and the challenge with this one is to stay true to the idea behind the source material and making it accessible to people who are not familiar with it. Right now I'm dealing with finals and papers for college, so I haven't really had the chance to think too hard about it yet.

It'll be a while, but I assure you that you will all be contacted when the time comes. I won't forget.
