Star Wars: The New Sith Wars

Greetings, all. I'd like to extend a proposal for a roleplay set during the New Sith Wars period of the Star Wars universe. This is a 1000-year period of rich storytelling opportunities, especially because not muc has been written about it. This time period is especially interesting because alliances shifted back and forth, so there is plenty of storylines to explore.

Just a note: I will be keeping this grounded as much as possible, with Force powers not being completely overpowered as they have been depicted in some media. There will be no all-powerful characters who are able to dominate.

Gotta get some more players first. But basically I will play a Jedi lord commanding a Republic army. You can be either a member of the army (including Jedi), or Sith, or an allied force.

Okay, I may go for a Jedi/sith or Grey Jedi. Not sure yet XD

I'm going to play the Lord as extremely hardline on any Dark side Force use or even temptation. :P

I used to have a Zabrak Grey Jedi/Bounty Hunter character. Started in the Jedi order and one day got angry with his master and accidentally killed him in an argument. After that, still angry, he joined the Sith but realised after a shorter while that they were even worse. His history went blank there until he appeared again one day under the guise "Razor" The Bounty Hunter with the Teal saber. (Pretty much he went on a journey and used what he knew to create a lightsaber for himself. He is neither good nor bad but lives in the moment, utilising what he knows to assist him.

Though in the end he only knew basic abilities, and none of them with much refinement. For example, he can force run, but his style is sloppy and he can't do it for long. In addition, his lightsaber combat is basic at best, he knows Shii-Cho and the beginnings of Makashi and some Djem So, with which he created his own style which is again unrefined.

Other than him I've used Jedi and Sith. So I'm good either way, hopefully.

Just remember, according to the Jedi... there are no grey Jedi and according to the Sith there are no grey Jedi, there are only fodder waiting to be spent.

Avoid both of them.

He avoided them as well as he could, but had run ins with them as well. He found himself more willing and able to work alongside the Jedi than the Sith however.

Though if I don't/can't use him I can think of something else

Right, as Assallya said my character is going I be extremely intolerant of deviance.

Fair enough, as I say I can think of something else, that was one of my characters is all. :)

I'm just pointing out the normal view. PC's are of course PCs. They arefree to make their own opinions and there's always the occasional non-douchebag NPC.

I'm leaning towardss Sith at the moment.

Can you elaborate more on the foece abilities? The last time someone told me they'd be like the movies the GM's characrer phased through fifty floors in the first post.

tossing an idea out real fast, i wanted to run a character that's sith raised and trained, but just does her own thing regardless. Working with jedi, sith, or just normal people is really all the same to her. Decent with a saber, mostly shoots lightning at stuff.

She isn't really neutral, she would side with a sith before a jedi, but in general is a kind, even passive person. I'm not sure how you would like to include her in the group.
