Their attacks collided with a loud clang. Sparks flew from the metal-to-metal contact as each Pokémon tried to overpower the other.

"Rock Smash!" Liam called.

[James Davy]

"Head Smash!" Articuno gave Tetsu a nasty peck that despite exploiting a double weakness, only did minor damage. The Aggron charged at Articuno intending to exploiting a double weakness of its own, with his head.

Articuno took the hit. Articuno was hit hard and used Rock Smash again.

Tetsu was hit and was on his last legs. "Tetsu, finish it off with Iron Tail!" The Aggron charged at Articuno with his tail glowing and ready to strike.

In last ditch effort, Liam called for Articuno to use Sheer Cold.

The two battlers got close and another explosion issued forth when their attacks made contact. The smoke cleared to reveal both battlers knocked out.

Liam recalled Articuno and sent Mew back out.

"Tetsu, return; Saisei, I choose you!" Shiranui returned his Aggron and threw a Master Ball out. The ball opened to reveal an all-too-familiar Pokémon.
"Surprise!" the Mewtwo telepathically shouted.

The stadium went silent at the sight of Mewtwo. Pokedexes all over the stadium stated: "No Data/"

"It's good to see you again." Liam said to Mewtwo. The MC's were flabbergasted at the Pokemon that no Pokedex had info on.

"Deja vu, huh?" Liam asked Mew, who nodded

"It's good to see you too," replied Saisei, "But now is not the time to talk. We are here to battle."

"Very well, Mew! Shadow Ball!" Liam called.

[James Davy]

"Saisei, counter with your own Shadow Ball! Mega Ring activate!" Shiranui activated the keystone on his Mega Ring and an orb surrounded Saisei. The orb shattered to reveal a Mega Mewtwo Y—smaller, but more powerful. Saisei conjured its Shadow Ball and launched it at Mew's attack. The two attacks collided and the Mega Mewtwo Y put its psychic powers to work.

"Metronome!" Liam called. Mew began waving his hands back and forth. While doing so, the tips were bathed in a white light. Metronome turned into Dark Pulse.

"Blizzard!" Saisei conjured a roaring blizzard, trying to push back Mew's attack.

The tactic worked and Mew took the super effective hit as well as the normal one. "Signal Beam!" Liam called.

"Light Screen!" Saisei conjured a reflective shield that weakened the Signal Beam's power before getting blasted with the attack.

"Iron Tail!" Liam called.
